Suggestions for a correct use in order to reduce the environmental impact: Switch ON the hood at minimum speed when you start cooking and kept it running for few minutes after cooking is finished. Increase the speed only in case of large amount of smoke and vapor and use boost speed(s) only in extreme situations. Replace the charcoal filter(s) when necessary to maintain a good odor reduction efficiency. Clean the grease filter(s) when necessary to maintain a good grease filter efficiency. Use the maximum diameter of the ducting system indicated in this manual to optimize efficiency and minimize noise.
Use
The hood is designed to be used either for exhausting or filter version.

Extraction version
In this case the fumes are conveyed outside of the building by means of a special pipe connected with the connection ring located on top of the hood.

CAUTION!
The exhausting pipe is not supplied and must be purchased apart.
Diameter of the exhausting pipe must be equal to that of the connection ring.

CAUTION!
If the hood is supplied with active charcoal filter, then it must be removed.

Filtration version
The aspirated air will be degreased and deodorised before being fed back into the room.
In order to use the hood in this version, you have to install a system of additional filtering based on activated charcoal.
Note: The recycled air in the charcoal filter is sent back to the kitchen through a duct which conveys air on a side of the cabinet.
The models with no suction motor only operate in ducting mode, and must be connected to an external suction device (not supplied).
The connecting instructions are supplied with the peripheral suction unit.
Mounting
Before starting to mount the appliance, make sure that no component is damaged, otherwise contact the dealer and stop mounting. In addition, read all the instructions below carefully.
Use an air outlet pipe no longer than 5 metres. Limit the number of curves in the duct since each curve reduces the suction effectiveness equivalent to 1 linear metre. (E.g.: if two 90° curves are used, the duct should be no longer than 3 metres). Avoid drastic changes of direction. Use a duct with 150mm diameter constant for the whole length. Use a duct made of standard complying material. In case of failure to observe the instructions above, the supplier cannot be held responsible for capacity or noise problems and no warranty will be granted. Before making the hole, make sure that the inside of the cabinet, near the hood housing area, does not have the structure of the cabinet or other particulars which may cause problems for the proper installation. Make sure that the overall dimensions of the hood and the hob are compatible with the cabinet and therefore the installation is feasible.
Before inserting the screws into the cabinet, make sure that the product is perfectly perpendicular to the worktop.

Suggestions for correct use to reduce impact on the environment: Turn on the hood at minimum speed when you start cooking and leave it running for a few minutes after you finish cooking. Increase the speed only in case of a large amount of smoke and use the boost speeds only in extreme situations. Replace the charcoal filter(s) when necessary to maintain good odor reduction efficiency. Clean the grease filter(s)
when necessary to maintain good grease filter efficiency. Use the maximum diameter of the air exhaust system, as indicated in this manual, for optimal efficiency and minimization of noise levels.
Use
The hood is designed for intermittent operation of air extraction or air recirculation.

Use of the appliance in extraction mode
In this operating mode, the air is expelled outside through the pipes connected to the collar.

ATTENTION!
The exhaust pipe is not included in the kit and must be purchased separately.
The diameter of the exhaust pipe must match the diameter of the connecting ring.

ATTENTION!
If the hood is equipped with a charcoal filter, make sure it is installed.

Use of recirculation
air
A charcoal filter, available from your distributor, must be used. The air is deodorized and purified before being returned to the room through the upper grille.
Usage: Air filtered by the charcoal filter is returned to the kitchen through the air outlet, which draws air through one of the side panels of the kitchen unit.
Models without a motor block can operate in one mode of air extraction to the outside, so they must be connected to an external exhaust system (not included).
Connection instructions are supplied with the external exhaust unit.
Installation
Before starting installation, check that all components are not damaged; otherwise, contact the point of sale before proceeding with installation. Also, carefully read all instructions supplied with the product.
Use an exhaust pipe no longer than 5 meters. Limit the number of bends in the duct, as each bend reduces suction efficiency equivalent to 1 linear meter. (For example, if a 90° bend is used, the duct length must not exceed 3 meters).
If a 90° bend is used, the duct length must not exceed 3 meters.
- Sharp changes in direction. Use an air duct with a diameter of 150 mm along its entire length. Use an air duct made of materials approved by standards. In case of failure to comply with the above instructions, the manufacturer shall not be liable for problems related to the hood's performance or noise, and the warranty shall not be provided.
- Before drilling the hole, check that there are no pipes or cables in the wall behind the installation area, nor any structural elements or other parts that could interfere with proper installation.
Check that the overall dimensions of the hood and the mounting surface match the dimensions of the kitchen furniture, and thus the possibility of performing the installation.
- Before inserting the flue into the hood, check that the product is perpendicular to each surface.
