• For appliances with a stand frame:
Always ensure that the grill is standing securely on the frame.
- During operation, the grill must be placed on a level, heat-resistant surface, impervious to splashes and stains. When grilling food with a high fat or moisture content, splashes are not always avoidable.

- Always remove the plug from the wall socket - after use,
- in case of any malfunction, and

- The use of an extension cord or reel causes a loss of power, possibly combined with a subsequent heat build-up in the cable. It is therefore necessary to unwind the cable completely before use. Make sure that the cord is approved for outdoor use and for the power specified (see rating label).
- CAUTION! Never move the barbecue while it is in operation.
- CAUTION! Always make sure that the barbecue has cooled down completely before it is moved, cleaned, covered or stored.

Grill plate
- The grill plate has a durable ceramic coating. This allows high-temperature grilling with little or, if preferred, no added fat or oil.
- For grilling foods such as vegetables or fish, apply a small amount of heat-resistant fat/oil (e.g. frying fat, coconut or palm fat, sunflower or rapeseed oil) to the grill plate using a pastry brush or kitchen paper. Non-heat-resistant oils may burn onto the ceramic surface, permanently damaging its non-stick properties.
- For further cleaning instructions, refer to the “Cleaning and Care” section.

- With the lid closed, allow the grill to preheat for approximately 10 minutes until the desired temperature is reached inside the cooking chamber. Then place the food onto the grill surface.
