Before using the appliance, read the following instructions carefully and keep this manual for future reference. The appliance must only be used by persons familiar with these instructions.

Connection to the mains supply

Make sure that the supply voltage corresponds with the voltage marked on the rating label of the appliance. This product complies with all binding CE labelling directives.

Important safety instructions

  • In order to avoid hazards, and to comply with safety requirements, repairs to this electrical appliance or its power cord must be carried out by our customer service. If repairs are needed, please contact our customer service department by phone or email (see appendix).

- WARNING! Before setting up the device, make sure that the power cable and mains plug are not pinched or damaged.

- Always place the appliance upright on a level, non-slip, and water-resistant surface.

- Do not use the appliance outdoors.

- Ensure that there is sufficient space

around the appliance to allow unobstructed air circulation (15 cm on the sides, 30 cm above).

  • Avoid tilting the appliance by more than 45° . After unpacking, or if the appliance has been transported at an angle of more than 45° , wait 2 hours before connecting it to the mains. This ensures that the refrigerant fluid settles correctly.

- WARNING! Do not cover the ventilation slots.

- WARNING! Do not place multiple sockets or power units at the rear of the device.

- Always remove the plug from the wall socket

  • before assembling or disassembling the appliance,
  • in case of any malfunction,
  • after use,
  • before cleaning the appliance.

- After switching off, wait until the motor has come to a complete stop! Do not touch any parts that are still in motion.

- When filling the water tank, ensure that no body parts, clothing or jewellery enter the tank.

- Do not reach into the rear section of the interior (where the cooling elements are located) with your fingers.

- For safety reasons, the main unit must never be cleaned with liquids or immersed in them.

- After each use, drain any remaining water (see Cleaning and Care / Daily) and leave the

appliance with the lid open until the interior is dry.

  • For hygienic reasons, regularly clean the interior of the appliance, perform a system flush, and clean the removable parts in soapy water (see Cleaning and Care / Regularly).
  • If the appliance has not been used for an extended period, always perform a system flush.
  • When filling the water tank, observe the MAX marking inside the appliance and do not exceed this level.
  • Maintain good hygiene during ice cube preparation and use only fresh tap water.
  • This appliance is intended for domestic or similar applications, such as

  • in staff kitchens in shops, offices and other similar working environments,

  • in agricultural working environments,
  • by customers in hotels, motels etc. and similar accommodation,
  • in bed-and breakfast type environments.

- This appliance is not intended for commercial use, nor for use in the catering business or similar wholesale environments.

The appliance contains eco-friendly yet flammable refrigerant isobutane (R600a).

Therefore, ensure the refrigeration system is protected during transport and after installation. If damage to the

cooling circuit does occur, do not switch on or connect the appliance to the mains power. If there is an open fire or any other sources of ignition in the vicinity of the refrigerant, ensure they are removed and the room is thoroughly ventilated.

  • If the unit is sold, handed over to a third party or disposed of at a suitable recycling facility, attention must be drawn to the presence of the refrigerant R600a. For additional information on correct recycling refer to the Disposal section.
  • Keep the appliance away from open flames, hot plates and ovens.
  • Keep explosive materials, such as aerosol cans with flammable propellants, away from the appliance.
  • This appliance may be used by children (at least 8 years of age) and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lacking experience and/or knowledge, provided they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance and fully understand all dangers and safety precautions involved.
  • Children must not be permitted to carry out any cleaning or maintenance work on the appliance unless they are supervised and at least 8 years of age.
  • The appliance and its power cord must be kept well away from children under 8 at all times.
  • Children must not be permitted to play

with the appliance.

  • Caution: Keep any packaging materials well away from children – these are a potential source of danger, e.g. of suffocation.
  • Every time the appliance is used, the main body including the power cord as well as any attachment fitted should be checked thoroughly for any defects. Should the appliance, for instance, have been dropped onto a hard surface, or if excessive force has been used to pull the power cord, it must no longer be used: even invisible damage may have adverse effects on the operational safety of the appliance.
  • Avoid unnecessary switching on and off of the appliance. To protect the compressor, wait at least 3 minutes after switching off before switching the appliance back on.
  • Never touch the cooling elements right after ice cube production to prevent skin injury from freezing.
  • When removing the plug from the wall socket, never pull on the power cord; always grip the plug itself. Never touch the mains plug with wet hands.
  • Do not let the power cord hang free.
  • Do not allow the appliance or its power cord to touch hot surfaces or to come into contact with any heat sources.
  • Use only the original accessories supplied with the appliance.
  • No responsibility is accepted if damage results from improper use, or if these instructions are not complied with.

Intended Use

  • This appliance is intended solely for ice cube production.
  • Warning! Use fresh, non-carbonated drinking water only.
  • Do not fill the water tank with other liquids or hot liquids.
  • Warning! Using the appliance incorrectly can lead to injuries.

Setting up the appliance

- After unpacking and after every transport, allow the appliance to stand for 2 hours before plugging it in. Keep the lid open during this time!

- This applies to first-time use and if the appliance has been transported at an angle of more than 45° .

Before the first use

  • Remove all stickers and packaging residues from the appliance. Never remove the identification label.
  • Clean the appliance as described in "Cleaning and Care" and run a cleaning cycle (see Rinsing the Appliance).
  • Then run the appliance for approximately 20 minutes (see Making Ice Cubes) and discard the ice cubes produced. The first ice cubes may not yet have the correct size or shape.
  • Drain any residual water (see Cleaning and Care / Daily).

Making ice cubes

  • Open the lid and remove the ice cube basket.
  • Fill with fresh tap water up to the MAX marking. Do not overfill the water tank!
    • Fit the ice cube basket back in and close the lid.
  • Plug in the power plug.
    • The Power LED flashes.
  • Press the ⏻ button. Ice production begins. The Power LED stays lit.
  • After a few minutes, the prepared ice cubes are automatically transferred into the ice cube basket and can be removed.
  • To switch off the appliance, press the ⏻ button. The Power LED flashes. The appliance will continue running for a few seconds before entering standby mode. Disconnect the appliance from the mains.
  • Drain any residual water (see Cleaning and Care / Daily).

Ice Full indicator

  • When the ice cube basket is full and needs emptying, the ICE FULL indicator lights up.
  • Open the lid and remove the ice cubes using the scoop.
  • Close the lid again.
    • Ice production will then continue.

Attention!

- If the appliance does not restart immediately after removing the ice cubes but the POWER LED remains lit, the appliance is in pause mode and will resume automatically.

Add Water indicator

  • If the water level is too low, the ADD WATER indicator lights up.
  • Open the lid, remove the ice cube basket, and fill the water tank with fresh tap water up to the MAX marking.
  • Fit the ice cube basket back in and close the lid.
  • Press the ⏻ button twice to restart the appliance.

Cleaning and Care

• Always pull out the power plug before cleaning.
- Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaners or hard brushes.
- For electrical safety reasons, do not clean the exterior of the appliance with liquids or immerse it in water. Clean the exterior only with a slightly damp cloth. Always ensure that the ventilation slots are kept clean.

Daily:

- After each use, drain any remaining water. Hold the appliance over a sink and remove the rubber stopper. Leave the lid open until the interior has dried.

Regularly:

  • Wipe out the empty interior with a water-vinegar solution.
  • Carefully remove the grid at the bottom of the water tank and thoroughly clean the area around the water inlet opening.
  • Clean all removable parts thoroughly in soapy water or with a water-vinegar solution. Fit the grid back in and carry out an appliance rinse to flush the entire system.

Rinsing the appliance

  • Fill the water tank with fresh tap water up to the MAX marking.
  • Press and hold the ⏻ button for three seconds. All three LEDs light up in sequence, and the appliance carries out a system flush for several minutes.
  • The appliance then switches to standby mode, and the green LED flashes.
  • Drain the water via the rubber stopper (see Cleaning and Care / Daily).
  • Leave the appliance with the lid open until the interior is completely dry before storing.

Disposal
