How do I assemble the blender jug?

Lower the jug onto the motor unit, then turn the jug clockwise to lock it in place. Remove the lid by pulling it up, add ingredients (do not exceed the MAX mark), replace the lid and push down to seal.

How do I use the pulse function?

Press the PULSE button for short bursts at high speed. The motor stops automatically when you release the button. Ideal for precise control and ice crushing.

Can I crush ice with this appliance?

Yes. Fill the blender jug up to half or three-quarters with ice (or 4–6 cubes), add 15 ml (1 tbsp) of water, put the lid on, and use the PULSE function in short bursts until desired consistency.

How do I clean the blade unit?

Unplug the appliance. Turn the jug upside down, grip the handle, turn the blade unit clockwise to loosen, then carefully pull it out. Wash the seal and blade unit in warm soapy water using a nylon brush; avoid touching the sharp blades. Rinse and air dry. Replace by turning anti-clockwise to tighten.

Can I put parts in the dishwasher?

No. The harsh dishwasher environment may affect surface finishes. All removable parts should be hand washed in warm soapy water. Do not put any part of the appliance in a dishwasher.

What is the maximum operating time?

When using the processor and disc for cutting/grating, do not exceed 2 minutes. For other uses (e.g., chopping, mixing), limit to 1.5 minutes. After any operation, let the motor rest for 2 minutes before restarting.

What should I do if the machine stops due to overload?

Do not touch the machine. The overload protection has activated. Wait for the motor to cool down and reset automatically. Then you can continue use. Ensure you do not exceed the recommended operating times.

How do I attach the disc for slicing/grating?

First, fit the desired slicer or grater into the disc. Lower the disc over the spindle on the motor unit. Place the lid with the tube slightly behind the handle, turn clockwise to lock the tab into the handle. Remove the pusher, add ingredients through the tube, and use the pusher to push them down gently.

How do I use the mill attachment?

Unplug the appliance. Turn the mill upside down, release the mill base by turning clockwise, and lift it out. Fill the bowl with dry ingredients up to one third full. Replace the base and turn anti-clockwise to lock. Put the mill right side up on the motor unit and turn clockwise to lock. Use the PULSE function in short bursts. After use, unlock and empty.

1. Touch "ON/OFF" to start or stop appliance.
2. Touch "PULSE" for pulse function and to clean the jar and blades after use.
3. Touch "MAX" to choose HIGH speed.

Warning

Follow basic safety precautions, including:

1. Don't put the motor unit in liquid, don't use it in a bathroom, near water, or outdoors.
2. Unplug before fitting or removing an attachment.
3. Switch off before fitting the jug to the motor unit.

4. Switch off and wait till the blades come to a complete stop before removing the lid from the jug.

5. Keep your hands away from the blades – they're sharp.

6. Don't use the appliance unless the lid is in place.

7. Don't fill with anything hotter than you can comfortably handle (i.e. below 40^ ).

8. Don't put spoons, spatulas, or any other object into the jug while the appliance is plugged in.

9. Don't leave the appliance unattended while plugged in.

10. Sit the motor unit on a dry, firm, level surface.

11. Route the cable so it doesn't overhang, and can't be tripped over or caught.

12. Don't let the jug overflow. If liquid gets under the motor unit, it may be sucked into the motor, damaging it.

13. Don't fill the jug above the max mark – if you do, the contents may force the lid open when you start the motor.

14. You may use the processor and disc for cutting/grating for up to 2 minutes. Any other use should be restricted to 1 12 minutes. After this, let the motor rest for 2 minutes.

15. Don't use the appliance for any purpose other than those described in these instructions.
16. Don't use the appliance if it's damaged or malfunctions.
17. If the cable is damaged, return the appliance, to avoid hazard.
18. When the machine stops because of overload protection, do not touch the machine. Continue with use after the machine is back to normal.
19. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
20. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
21. If the electrical cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

In Brief

Power up

Put the plug into the power socket. Switch on the socket if needed.

Speed control

1. Press the speed control button for low speed (MIN) or high (MAX) speed. Then press the on/off button
2. Use low speed (MIN) for lighter applications, using mainly liquid ingredients, and high speed (MAX) for heavier applications, using mainly solid ingredients.
3. Press the on/off button again and the motor shuts off.
4. Press the button PULSE which will give you a short burst at high speed, for more precise control. It turns off automatically when you release the button.

USING BLENDER:

1. Lower the jug to the motor unit, then turn the jug clockwise, to lock it in place.
2. Pull the lid up and off the jug - it's stiff, because of the seal.
3. Put the ingredients into the jug - don't fill above the mark max.
4. Put the lid on the jug, and push it down to seal it.
5. Align the pips on the cap with the slits in the lid opening, fit the cover over the hole, and turn clockwise. Don't run the blender without the cap.
6. To add ingredients while the motor is running: a) turn the cap clockwise to unlock it, and lift it off b) add the ingredients via the hole c) replace the cap and turn it anti-clockwise to lock it
7. Turn the jug anti-clockwise to unlock, and lift it off the motor unit.

Crushing Ice

1. Fill the cup with ice (up to half or three quarters) or 4 to 6 cubes, and add 15ml (1 tbsp) of water.
2. Put the lid on the blender, then turn on function PULSE for a few second or so.
3. Check the state of the ice.
4. Repeat if necessary

Care and Maintenance

1. Switch off and unplug before cleaning.
2. Wipe the outside of the motor unit with a clean damp cloth.
3. Handwash the removable parts.
4. If you use a dishwasher, the harsh environment inside the dishwasher will affect the surface finishes.
5. The damage should be cosmetic only, and should not affect the operation of the appliance.

Blade Unit

1. You may remove the blade unit for cleaning.
2. This is best done with the jug upside down.
3. Grip the jug handle with one hand.
4. Grip the bottom of the blade unit with the other hand.
5. Turn the blade unit clockwise till it comes loose from the jug base.
6. Carefully, pull it up and out of the bottom of the jug.
7. Wash the seal and blade unit in warm soapy water, rinse and air dry.
8. Take great care with the blades – don't handle them directly, use a nylon washing-up brush.
9. Replace the seal round the blade unit.
10. Turn the blade unit upside down, and replace it in the bottom of the jug base.
11. Turn the blade unit anti-clockwise to tighten it.

Using the processor

1. Unplug the appliance.
2. Fit the spindle to the top of the motor unit.
3. Lower the jug on to the motor unit, then turn the jug clockwise, to lock it in place.
4. Choose the attachment you need.

With the Support

1. Use the chopper for pulverizing ingredients.
2. Use the mixer to mix ingredients together.
3. Use the creamer to thicken cream, to beat eggs, and to cream eggs and sugar together.
4. Fit the attachment over the support, and slide it to the bottom.
5. Lower the support into the centre of the jug, over the spindle.
6. Put the ingredients into the jug - don't fill it above the mark max.
7. Hold the lid with the tube slightly behind the jug handle, set it on the jug, then turn it clockwise, to lock the tab into the top of the handle.

8. To add ingredients while the motor is running: a) lift the pusher out of the tube b) add the ingredients via the tube c) replace the pusher

9. To remove the lid, turn it anti-clockwise to unlock it, then lift it off.

With the Disc

1. Fit the slicer or one of the graters into the disc.
2. Lower the disc over the top of the spindle.
3. Hold the lid with the tube slightly behind the jug handle, set it on the jug, then turn it clockwise, to lock the tab into the top of the handle.
4. Remove the pusher, and drop the ingredients down the tube.
5. Replace the pusher, and use it to push the ingredients gently down the tube. Don't use fingers or cutlery to push food down the tube - use pusher only.
6. The blade on top of the disc will slice or grate the food into the bowl.
7. Don't let the bowl gets more than about half full.
8. To remove the lid, turn it anti-clockwise to unlock it, then lift it off.
9. Turn the disc over, and press one of the metal ends in and down, to remove the slicer/grater.

Care and Maintenance

1. Switch off and unplug before cleaning.
2. Wipe the outside of the motor unit with a clean damp cloth.

2. Turn the mill upside down.
3. Turn the mill base clockwise, to release it, and lift it out of the mill.
4. Put the goods to be ground into the bowl. Dry goods only. For best results, don't fill in more than one third.
5. Replace the mill base, inside the mill, and turn it anti-clockwise, to lock it in place.
6. Turn the mill right way up.
7. Lower the mill onto the motor unit, then turn it clockwise, to lock it in place.
8. Choose the PULSE function and use short bursts till you achieve the size of grind you want.
9. After releasing the button PULSE wait till the blades stop moving.
10. Turn the mill anti-clockwise to unlock it, and lift it off the motor unit.

1. Turn the mill upside down.
2. Tap the mill a couple of times to move all the grounds into the bowl.
3. Turn the mill base clockwise, to release it, and lift it out of the mill.
4. Empty the bowl.
