They contain important information concerning safety, use and disposal. Before using the product, please familiarise yourself with all of the safety information and instructions for use. Only use the product as described and for the specified applications. If you pass the product on to anyone else, please ensure that you also pass on all the documentation with it.

Intended use

This product is intended for tightening and loosening screw connections.
The product can be used manually to gain extra torque on the nut or bolt being tightened.
This product is designed to speed the installation and removal process and is not intended to replace a torque wrench. For applications where proper torque is important, always use a torque wrench to verify that proper torque is achieved.
Use this product only as described and for the areas of applications specified.
Always use the correct accessory tools (sockets) according to the intended use! Observe the technical requirements of this product (see "Technical data") when purchasing and using accessory tools!

The LED work light 6 on this product is intended to illuminate the immediate work area.
Any other use or modification of the product are considered improper use and can result in hazards such as death, life-threatening injuries and damage.

Safety instructions

General power tool safety warnings

WARNING!

Read all safety warnings, instructions, illustrations and specifications provided with this power tool. Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.

Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.

The term "power tool" in the warnings refers to your mains-operated (corded) power tool or battery-operated (cordless) power tool.

Work area safety

a) Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
b) Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.
c) Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions can cause you to lose control.

Electrical safety

a) Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter plugs with

earthed (grounded) power tools. Unmodified plugs and matching outlets will reduce risk of electric shock.

b) Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces, such as pipes, radiators, ranges and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded.
c) Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will increase the risk of electric shock.
d) Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the power tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.
e) When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use. Use of a cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.
f) If operating a power tool in a damp location is unavoidable, use a residual current device (RCD) protected supply. Use of an RCD reduces the risk of electric shock.

Personal safety

a) Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power tool. Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of inattention while operating power tools may result in serious personal injury.
b) Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection. Protective equipment such as dust mask,

non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries.

c) Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-position before connecting to power source and/or battery pack, picking up or carrying the tool.
Carrying power tools with your finger on the switch or energising power tools that have the switch on invites accidents.
d) Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the power tool on. A wrench or a key left attached to a rotating part of the power tool may result in personal injury.
e) Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better control of the power tool in unexpected situations.
f) Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can be caught in moving parts.
g) If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection facilities, ensure these are connected and properly used. Use of dust collection can reduce dust-related hazards.
h) Do not let familiarity gained from frequent use of tools allow you to become complacent and ignore tool safety principles. A careless action can cause severe injury within a fraction of a second.

Power tool use and care

a) Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. The correct power tool will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.
b) Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and off. Any power tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
c) Disconnect the plug from the power source and/or the battery pack, if detachable, from the power tool before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the power tool accidentally.
d) Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the power tool or these instructions to operate the power tool. Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
e) Maintain power tools and accessories. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and any other condition that may affect the power tool's operation. If damaged, have the power tool repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
f) Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less likely to bind and are easier to control.
g) Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc. in accordance with these instructions, taking into account the working conditions and the work to be per

formed. Use of the power tool for operations different from those intended could result in a hazardous situation.

h) Keep handles and grasping surfaces dry, clean and free from oil and grease. Slippery handles and grasping surfaces do not allow for safe handling and control of the tool in unexpected situations.

Battery tool use and care

a) Recharge only with the charger specified by the manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for one type of battery pack may create a risk of fire when used with another battery pack.
b) Use power tools only with specifically designated battery packs. Use of any other battery packs may create a risk of injury and fire.
c) When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects, like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects, that can make a connection from one terminal to another. Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns or a fire.
d) Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery; avoid contact. If contact accidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, additionally seek medical help. Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns.
e) Do not use a battery pack for tool that is damaged or modified. Damaged or modified batteries exhibit unpredictable behaviour resulting in fire, explosion or risk of injury.

f) Do not expose a battery pack or tool to fire or excessive temperature. Exposure to fire or temperature above 130^ may cause explosion.
g) Follow all charging instruction and do not charge the battery pack or tool outside the temperature range specified in the instruction. Charging improperly or at temperatures outside the specified range may damage the battery and increase the risk of the fire.

CAUTION! RISK OF EXPLOSION! Never charge non-rechargeable batteries!

Protect the rechargeable battery from heat, for example from continuous exposure to sunlight, fire, water and moisture.

There is a risk of explosion.

Service

a) Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.
b) Never service damaged battery packs. Service of battery packs should be only be performed by the manufactured or authorized service providers.

Additional safety instructions for cordless ratchets

a) Hold the appliance using the insulated handles if you carry out any work during which the screw could contact hidden power cables. Contact with a live wire may electrify exposed metal parts of the tool and could give the operator an electric shock.
b) Wear ear protectors during operation. Exposure to noise can cause hearing loss.
c) Use auxiliary handle(s), if supplied with the tool. Loss of control can cause personal injury.
d) Know your power tool. Read operator's manual carefully. Learn its applications and limitations, as well as the specific potential hazards related to this power tool. Following this rule will reduce the risk of electric shock, fire, or serious injury.
e) Always wear eye protection with side shields marked to comply with ANSI Z87.1 when assembling parts, operating the tool or performing maintenance. Following this rule will reduce the risk of serious personal injury.
f) Protect your lungs. Wear a face or dust mask if the operation is dusty. Following this rule will reduce the risk of serious personal injury.
g) Protect your hearing. Wear hearing protection during extended periods of operation. Following this rule will reduce the risk of serious personal injury.
h) Battery tools do not have to be plugged into an electrical outlet; therefore, they are always in operating

condition. Be aware of possible hazards when not using your battery tool or when changing accessories.

Following this rule will reduce the risk of electric shock, fire, or serious personal injury.

i) Do not place battery tools or their batteries near fire or heat. This will reduce the risk of explosion and possibly injury.
j) Do not crush, drop or damage battery pack. Do not use a battery pack or charger that has been dropped or received a sharp blow. A damaged battery is subject to explosion. Properly dispose of a dropped or damaged battery immediately.
k) Batteries can explode in the presence of a source of ignition, such as a pilot light. To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, never use any cordless product in the presence of open flame. An exploded battery can propel debris and chemicals. If exposed, flush with water immediately.
l) Under extreme usage or temperature conditions, battery leakage may occur. If liquid comes in contact with your skin, wash immediately with soap and water. If liquid gets into your eyes, flush them with clean water for at least 10 minutes, then seek immediate medical attention. Following this rule will reduce the risk of serious personal injury.
m) Save these instructions. Refer to them frequently and use them to instruct others who may use this tool. If you loan someone this tool, loan them these instructions also.

Vibration and noise reduction

To reduce the impact of noise and vibration emission, limit the time of operation, use low-vibration and low-noise operating modes as well as wear personal protective equipment.

Take the following points into account to minimise the vibration and noise exposure risks:

Only use the product as intended by its design and these instructions.

Ensure that the product is in good condition and well maintained.

Use correct accessory tools for the product and ensure they are in good condition.

• Keep tight grip on the handles/grip surface.

• Maintain this product in accordance with these instructions and keep it well lubricated (where appropriate).

Plan your work schedule to spread any high vibration tool use across a longer period of time.

Behaviour in emergency situations

Familiarise yourself with the use of this product by means of this instruction manual. Memorise the safety warnings and follow them to the letter. This will help to prevent risks and hazards.

Always be alert when using this product, so that you can recognise and handle risks early. Fast intervention can prevent serious injury and damage to property.

• Switch the product off and disconnect it from the mains if there are malfunctions. Have the product checked by a qualified professional and repaired, if necessary, before you operate it again.

Battery charger safety warnings

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

Children shall not play with the appliance.

Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

• Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.

Disregarding this instruction is hazardous.

• Protect the electrical parts against moisture. Do not immerse such parts in water or other liquids to avoid electrical shock.

Never hold the appliance under running water. Pay attention to the instructions provided for cleaning, maintenance and repair.

The appliance is suitable for indoor use only.

Residual risks

Even if you are operating this product in accordance with all the safety requirements, potential risks of injury and damage remain. The following dangers can arise in connection with the structure and design of this product:

Health defects resulting from vibration emission if the product is being used over long periods of time or not adequately managed and properly maintained.
Injuries and damage to property due to broken accessory tools or the sudden impact of hidden objects during use.
Danger of injury and property damage caused by flying objects.

NOTE

This product produces an electromagnetic field during operation! This field may under some circumstances interfere with active or passive medical implants! To reduce the risk of serious or fatal injury, we recommend persons with medical implants to consult their doctor and the medical implant manufacturer before operating this product!

Use

Battery information

The built-in battery is supplied partially charged. Li-1on batteries can be charged at any time without adversely affecting their service life. Interruption of the charging process will not damage the battery.
This product has a built-in rechargeable battery which cannot be replaced by the user. The removal or replacement of the rechargeable battery may only be carried out by the manufacturer or his customer service or by a similarly qualified person in order to avoid hazards. When disposing of the product, it should be noted that this product contains a rechargeable battery.
- Never charge the product when the ambient temperature is below +4^ or above +40^ . The storage climate should be cool and dry and the ambient temperature should be between 0^ and +50^ .

Start charging

(Fig. B, C)

1. Connect the USB cable 8 to the USB port (Type A) 10 of the charger 9.
2. Connect the other end of the USB cable 8 to the USB Type C socket 3.
3. Connect the charger 9 to a socket-outlet.

Stop charging

1. Disconnect the USB cable 8 from the product.
2. Disconnect the charger 9 from the socket-outlet.

Safety lock-out

NOTE

The safety lock-out reduces the possibility of accidental starting.
When the product is not in use: Lock the switch trigger 4.

Locking the switch trigger 4: Slide the safety lock-out 5 to the position.
Unlocking the switch trigger 4: Slide the safety lockout 5 to the position.

- Changing sockets

NOTE

Always select the correct size socket for nuts and bolts. Using the wrong size socket may damage the nut or bolt and cause the fastening torque to be inaccurate or inconsistent.

1. Lock the switch trigger 4.
2. Pull out the socket from the socket holder 7
3. Insert another type of socket into the socket holder 7

Adjusting the forward/reverse dial

• Rotate the forward/reverse dial 1 to set the rotation direction of the socket:

- Switching on/off

NOTE

The LED work light 6 goes out 10 seconds after the switch trigger 4 is released.

Switching on

Press the switch trigger 4 and hold it in place.
The LED work light 6 lights up.

Switching off

Release the switch trigger 4.

Using the product

CAUTION! Risk of burns!

The head of the product may become hot during periods of extended use or when the product is under stress.
- Allow the product to cool down completely before touching the head of the product.

NOTICE! Risk of product damage!

Do not use the product:

-as a drill

to install lug nuts on wheels

NOTE

After fastening: Check the torque with a torque wrench.

1. Install a suitable socket (see "Changing sockets").
2. Set the required rotation direction (see "Adjusting the forward/reverse dial").
3. Unlock the switch trigger 4 (see "Safety lock-out").
4. Hold the product in front of the workpiece with the socket over the nut or bolt.
5. Switch the product on/off (see "Switching on/off").
6. After the operation is completed: Lock the switch trigger 4 (see "Safety lock-out").

Troubleshooting

WARNING!

If the product dropped into water or was exposed to rain by accident, the product cannot be used any more. Put the product in a sealed plastic bag and send it to the service center for repairing or disposal.

- Cleaning and maintenance

NOTE

Do not use chemical, alkaline, abrasive or other aggressive detergents or disinfectants to clean this product as they might be harmful to its surfaces.
Never allow fluids to get into the product.

The vents must always be clear.

Regular and proper cleaning helps to ensure safe use and prolongs the life of the product.

The product must always be kept clean, dry and free from oil or grease. Remove debris from it after each use and before storage.

□ Before cleaning or carrying out any maintenance: -Lock the switch trigger 4 (see "Safety lock-out"). This prevents unintentional switching on.

-Remove the USB cable 8.
-Remove the socket.
-Disconnect the charger 9 from the socket-outlet.

Clean the product with a dry cloth. Use a soft brush for areas that are hard to reach.
Clean the air vents after every use with a cloth and soft brush.

Maintenance

Before and after each use: Check the product and the sockets for wear and damage.

If required, exchange the accessories for new ones (see "Changing sockets").

Observe the technical requirements of the accessories (see "Technical data").

Storage

Lock the switch trigger 4 (see "Safety lock-out"). This prevents unintentional switching on.
Store the product in a dry indoor location protected from direct sunlight.

- Transportation

NOTE

The integrated Lithium- ion battery may only be removed by trained or qualified personnel.
This product contains a Li-1on rechargeable battery and is therefore subject to hazardous materials regulation. Users may transport the product with built-in rechargeable battery on roads or by sea without special requirements.
The packaging and marking is subject to special requirements when it is transported by third parties (e.g. airline, courier, carrier). A hazardous materials expert must be consulted when transported by third parties.

Disposal

The packaging is made entirely of recyclable materials, which you may dispose of at local recycling facilities.

Observe the marking of the packaging materials for waste separation, which are marked with abbreviations (a) and numbers (b) with following meaning: 1-7:plastics/20-22: paper and fi breboard/80-98: composite materials.

Product:

The product incl. accessories and packaging materials are recyclable and are subject to extended producer responsibility. Dispose them separately, following the illustrated Info-tri (sorting information), for better waste treatment.

The Triman logo is valid in France only.

Contact your local refuse disposal authority for more details of how to dispose of your worn-out product.

To help protect the environment, please dispose of the product properly when it has reached the end of its useful life and not in the household waste. Information on collection points and their opening hours can be obtained from your local authority.

Faulty or used batteries/rechargeable batteries must be recycled. Return the batteries/rechargeable batteries and/or the product to the available collection points.

Environmental damage through incorrect disposal of the batteries/rechargeable batteries!

Batteries/rechargeable batteries may not be disposed of with the usual domestic waste. They may contain toxic heavy metals and are subject to hazardous waste treatment rules and regulations. The chemical symbols for heavy metals are as follows: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead. That is why you should dispose of used batteries/rechargeable batteries at a local collection point.

Warranty

The product has been manufactured to strict quality guidelines and meticulously examined before delivery. In the event of material or manufacturing defects you have legal rights against the retailer of this product. Your legal rights are not limited in any way by our warranty detailed below.

The warranty for this product is 3 years from the date of purchase. The warranty period begins on the date of purchase. Keep the original sales receipt in a safe location as this document is required as proof of purchase.

Any damage or defects already present at the time of purchase must be reported without delay after unpacking the product.

Should the product show any fault in materials or manufacture within 3 years from the date of purchase, we will repair or replace it – at our choice – free of charge to you. The warranty period is not extended as a result of a claim being granted. This also applies to replaced and repaired parts.

This warranty becomes void if the product has been damaged, or used or maintained improperly.

The warranty covers material or manufacturing defects. This warranty does not cover product parts subject to normal wear and tear, thus considered consumables (e.g. batteries, tubes, cartridges), nor damage to fragile parts, e.g. switches or glass parts.
