Body composition scales measure weight and 30 points of data for body composition reporting based on height, age and gender. Compatible with bluetooth 4.0 and higher technology, it allows you to automatically send the data to your smartphone so you can monitor your progress at any time.

SAFETY WARNINGS

• Before using, make sure the device is intact with no visible damage. If you have any doubts, do not use the device and contact the retailer.

• Keep the plastic bag used for packaging out of reach of children; sullocation hazard.

• All other uses are considered improper and therefore hazardous.

  Do NOT allow liquids to penetrate into the body of the scale.

This appliance is not waterproof. Do NOT leave and do NOT use the scale in water-saturated environments; humidity rates greater than 85% or contact with water or other liquids may cause corrosion or compromise proper scale operation.

Do NOT step onto the scale with wet feet, or if the surface of the scale is wet: slipping hazard.

ATTENTION! BEFORE USING THIS APPLIANCE

• The body fat, water, and skeletal muscle percentages and the basal metabolism calculated by the scale must only be considered to be indicative data. For further information, consult a doctor or dietician.
• Through the electrodes located on the platform and the hand bar, the scale sends a weak, low intensity electrical current that passes through the body.

The scale is not dangerous in any way.

- The scale is not recommended for the following individuals as the data detected by the scale may not be accurate:

• Individuals wearing a pacemaker or other electronic medical device
• people with fever
  children under 11 years of age and adults over 70 years of age
• pregnant women
• individuals undergoing dialysis, with oedema in the legs or osteoporosis
• people who take cardiovascular medication

SAFE USE OF BATTERIES

• Remove the batteries if the scale is not used for long periods of time and keep them in a well-ventilated and dry place, at room temperature.
  Do NOT recharge the batteries if they are not rechargeable.
  Do NOT recharge rechargeable batteries using methods other than those indicated in the manual or using unsuitable equipment.
• NEVER expose the batteries to sources of heat or direct sunlight. Failure to observe these instructions may result in damage to and/or the explosion of the batteries.
  Do NOT throw the batteries into an open flame.
• The removal or replacement of batteries must always be performed by an adult.
• Keep the batteries far from the reach of children: swallowing batteries carries the risk of death. If batteries are swallowed, immediately contact a doctor.
• The acid contained in the batteries is corrosive. Avoid contact with the skin, eyes or garments.

BODY COMPOSITION

The body composition is made up of:

• lean mass: all components without fat (water, muscle, connective tissue, and other non-fatty organic components), bone, muscles, bowels, water, organs, and blood;
• fatty mass: all lats that can be extracted from adipose tissue and other tissues/organs;
• bone mass.

Through the 8 high precisions electrodes located on the platform and the hand bar, the scale sends a weak, low intensity electrical current that passes through lower and upper the body. The different masses respond differently to the current: lean mass provides less resistance than the opposite. This body resistance is called bio electrical impedance. The relative percentage of the various body masses varies based on gender, age, and physical stature.

Fitdays+™ app makes an automatic comparison of your measured data using gender, age, and physical stature versus reference data to create an analysis which includes: weight, BMI (body mass index), body fat %, fat mass, fat free body weight, muscle mass, muscle rate %, skeletal muscle %, bone mass, protein mass, protein %, water weight, body water %, subcutaneous fat %, visceral fat, BMR (basal metabolic rate), body age, ideal body weight, obesity level, body type, muscle in each limb, fat in each limb, abdominal muscle and abdominal fat (the 30 body composition data points).

The scale calculates the body composition for individuals aged between 11 and 70.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE

• Always weigh yourself on the same scale at the same time, preferably when you wake up and while naked.
• To ensure the scale operates correctly, it is important to weigh yourself:

with dry bare feet positioned correctly on the electrodes (see figure 2).

- with fingers and thumb positioned correctly on the electrodes (see figure 2). Hold arms out at a 45 degree angle, avoiding contact with the stomach.

• maintaining the correct posture until measurement is complete and display on scales stops flashing.
• Wait about 15 minutes after rising so water can distribute itself through your body.
  -Scale precision could vary in the following cases:

a) high level of alcohol

b) high level of caffeine or drugs

c) after heavy meals

di after rigorous sports activities

e) during illness

f) when pregnant

g) when dehydrated

h) with wet or unclean feet

i) swollen legs

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

This scale can be used in 2 ways:
1. Body Weight Measurement only
II. Body Weight and Body Composition Measurement with the Fltdays+TM app.

I. Body Weight Measurement only:

(docs not require pairing to smartphone application)

1. Place the scale on a flat sturdy surface.
   Note: An uneven or disjointed floor (e.g., rug, carpet, linoleum) may compromise the accuracy of the reading.
2. With the scale off, step onto it with your feet parallel and your weight evenly distributed. The scale will begin measuring. Do not move until the scale has measured your weight. The weight will flash 3 times.
   Note: Do not lean on anything while the scale measures your weight to avoid altering the readings.
3. Step off the scale. The display will continue to show the reading for a few seconds before automatically turning off.

II. Body Weight and Body Composition Measurement with the Fitdays+TM app:

(requires pairing to smartphone application)

When it is paired successfully, all body composition metrics will be available to be viewed on the Fitdays+™ app.

FIRST TIME CONNECTING THE SCALE TO YOUR SMARTPHONE

The scale sends body composition data to the smartphone and make it available on the Fitdays+™ app. During the following operation, we recommend keeping the smartphone near the scale to keep the connection active.

List of compatible devices:

• IOS 9.0 and above

• Android™ version 5.0 and above

• Turn on bluetooth on your smartphone settings.

• Download the free Fidays+™ app from App Store or Play Store™.
  You can also scan the QR code with your smartphone's camera to direct you to the app in the Apps store.
• Launch the Fitdays+TM app, then step onto the scale.
• Follow the instructions in the app to pair the LAICA scale and to create a new user.
  If the scale is paired successfully with the app, you will see the weight measuring on the app.

If the weight is not measuring on the app, please make sure the device is paired by trying the following:

In the app, go to Device. You should see an entry of "LAICA PS7126". If not, tap on Add Device to add a device.

Step on the scale and tap on Scale → Searching bluetooth for pairing. If the scale is found, it will appear with an option to connect. Tap on "LAICA PS7126" device, follow the on screen instructions to bind the device in the app.

In order to ensure the accuracy of measurement data, please fill in your basic information correctly (height, birthday, gender).

The icon of Fltdays+TM will automatically change from 📄 to 📞 after the device once connected to your smart phone.

Each time the scale is moved and then returned to its resting surface, it will automatically re-calibrate. Step on the scale to turn it on, wait for the weight to return to 0.0 kg/lbs/sL.

HOW TO MEASURE YOUR BODY COMPOSITION

1. Launch the Fitdays+TM app, keep the smartphone near to the scale to maintain connection. Go to Device, select "LAICA7126", then "Go to Measurement", the app is ready to receive data from the scales.
2. Place the measuring hand bar on the scale, pressing the center of scale to turn it on and wait for weight to return to 0.0kg/lbs/st. This ensures that the measuring hand bar is not included in the weight measurement.
3. Pick up the measuring hand bar, taking care to position your bare feet on the electrodes, and hold the measuring hand bar correctly (check the picture on the right).
4. After few seconds, the display on the scales will stop flashing and your body composition data will be available in the Fitdays+TM app of your smartphone.

More than one account may be set up in the Fitdays+TM app. The scale has an automatic recognition function. When the weight is within +/-2 kg difference the app will remind you to choose the correct user.

MAINTENANCE

BATTERY REPLACEMENT

When the "LO" or battery symbol appears on the display, replace the batteries with the same type.

1. Open the battery compartment by pulling the tab on the cover.
2. Remove the worn batteries and dispose of them according to the Instructions in the paragraph "Disposal Procedure".
3. Insert the new batteries according to the polarity markings.
4. Close the battery compartment.

MAINTENANCE

• Store the device in a cool, dry area.
• Store the device in a horizontal position.
  • Only clean the scale with a soft dry cloth.
• Never use chemicals or abrasive products.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem Possible cause	Solution
The scale doesn't turn on.	You have not stepped onto the scales properly.	Step onto the scale with your feet parallel.Note: the scale will turn on only after stepping onto it.
	The batteries have run out. Replace the batteries.
“Lo” or the battery symbol is shown on the display.	The batteries are low. Replace them.
The display shows “Err”.	Weight greater than the scale capacity.	Step off the scale immediately so as not to damage it. The maximum capacity is 180kg/400lbs/28st
The display shows “C”. Error occurred during measurement.		Step off scales for 5 seconds, step back on the repeat measuring process.
The “Fitdays+TM” app doesn't display any data.	The connection has not been enabled in the smartphone settings.	Connect your smartphone.
	The smartphone went into standby during weighing.	Keep the app active on your smartphone during weighing to check that data is sent instantly.
The “Fitdays+TM” app only shows your body weight.	You did not step on the scale with bare feet or did not contact the electrodes.	Step onto the scale with bare feet and make sure your feet and hand contact the electrodes correctly.

All weights are approximate having been rounded up or down to the nearest whole number.

We guarantee accuracy within +/-1% - 1 division.

DISPOSAL PROCEDURE

The symbol on the bottom of the device indicates the separated collection of electric and electronic equipment (Dir. 2012/19/Eu-WEEE).

At the end of life of the device, do not dispose it as mixed solid municipal waste, but dispose it referring to a specific collection centre located in your area or returning it to the distributor, when buying a new device of the same type to be used with the same functions. If the

appliance to be disposed of is less than 25 cm, it can be returned to a retail location that is over 400 m ^2 without having to purchase a new, similar device.

This procedure of separated collection of electric and electronic devices is carried out forecasting a European environmental policy aiming at safeguarding, protecting and improving environment quality, as well as avoiding potential effects on human health due to the presence of hazardous substances in such equipment or to an improper use of the same or of parts of the same. Caution! The wrong disposal of electric and electronic equipment may involve sanctions.

To correctly dispose of batteries (Dir. 2013/56/Eu, the Waste Batteries and Accumulators Regulations 2009) do not throw them into household waste but rather dispose of them as special

waste at specialised recycling centres. For more information about disposal of used batteries, contact the store where you purchased he equipment containing the batteries, the municipality or the local waste disposal service.

This product is meant for household use. The conformity, certified by the CE-marking on the device, refers to the Directive 2014/30/Eu on electromagnetic compatibility and on Directive 2011/65/Eu on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment.

WARRANTY

This appliance is guaranteed for 2 years from the time of delivery of the goods, or another longer term envisaged by the national legislation of the consumer's residence. This provision complies with Italian and European legislation. The LAICA products are designed for home use and must not be used in public venues. The warranty only covers manufacturing defects and does not apply if the damage is caused by an accidental event, incorrect use, negligence or misuse of the product. Use only the accessories supplied; the use of different accessories may result in invalidity of the warranty. Do not open the unit for any reason; In the case of opening or tampering, the warranty is definitively voided. This warranty does not apply to parts subject to wear or to the batteries when supplied. After 2 years from delivery, or another longer term envisaged by the national legislation of the consumer's residence, the warranty expires; in this case, the technical assistance interventions will be carried out against a fee. Information on technical assistance, whether under warranty or for a fee, can be requested by contacting [e-mail].

No payment will be due for repairs or replacements of products that fall within the terms of the warranty. In the event of faults, contact the retailer. Do NOT send the appliance directly to LAICA.
