15. NOTE ON SAFE USE

Safe working practices

  1. Place the wood on the saw table so that the end rests against the measuring stick. Hold the wood firmly with your left hand and lower the chainsaw to cut. Be sure to watch your hands to avoid injury.
  2. The saw block table is designed to accommodate logs up to a maximum length of 1.80m and a maximum diameter of 20 cm. The maximum permissible load on the saw block is 120kg .
  3. The chain guard of the saw block is designed for chainsaws with a blade length of up to 45~cm . A chainsaw with a longer blade (which protrudes beyond the chain guard) is not recommended.
  4. If you use the chainsaw separately from the saw block, you must remove the swivel clamp and the guard.
  5. The swivel clamp and the holder must be well lubricated.
  6. The saw block may only be used on flat surfaces.
  7. Ensure that the screws and nuts on the swivel clamp and protective device are always tightened securely. When using a chainsaw with the sawing block, it is important that all safety regulations and practices of the chainsaw manufacturer and the occupational safety officer are fully observed.

16. SYMBOLS ON THE PRODUCT AND IN THE MANUAL

Symbols are used in this manual and on the product itself to indicate potential hazards. These safety symbols and their explanations must be fully understood. Please note: The warnings alone do not eliminate hazards and do not replace the necessary safety measures to prevent accidents.

17. ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

Assembling the saw block with chainsaw holder

Swivel clamp mount and measuring rod (Fig. 1)

Insert the swivel clamp holder (vertically adjustable) with the measuring rod holder (horizontally adjustable) into the saw table using the screw and washer supplied. The vertical adjustment of the swivel clamp holder is used to adapt to different blade sizes – the larger and longer the blade, the higher the swivel clamp holder should be mounted. Adjust it so that the tip of the blade protrudes beyond the table so that it can cut through a log completely.

The measuring rod can be adjusted horizontally so that each log can be cut to the desired length.

18. OPERATION

Commissioning

Fig. 3

Carefully lower the saw blade into position between the two solid blocks in the swivel clamp, ensuring there is a gap of 2 cm between the body of the chainsaw and the clamp. Make sure that the blade is at an angle of approximately 90 degrees to the clamp and that there is sufficient clearance from the chain before tightening the screw. After tightening, test the travel distance to ensure that the blade does not touch the saw bench
