2. Safety instructions for the user
GENERAL PRECAUTIONS
General precautions during the use of electrical equipment
- Do not use or store the appliance outdoors.
- This product is designed for indoor domestic, non-industrial and non-commercial use. Do not use the item outdoors or for any other purpose. Misuse or improper handling may cause problems with the appliance and may cause injury to the user.
- The unit must only be used for its intended purpose. No liability is accepted for damage resulting from improper use or incorrect handling.
- Make sure that the voltage indicated on the nameplate matches the mains voltage before plugging in the appliance.
- Always remove the plug from the socket when the appliance is not in use. Do not leave the appliance unattended when it is switched on.
- It is necessary to supervise when any electrical appliance is being used by or near children.
- Before cleaning or storing your appliance, always unplug the appliance from the power supply and allow it to cool down.
- The device is not completely disconnected from the power supply, even after it has been switched off. To disconnect it completely, unplug it from the mains socket.
- The appliances are not designed to be operated by an external timer or a separate remote-control system.

Restrictions on use to avoid personal injury
- Do not leave the appliance unattended.
- Do not place or use this appliance near water sources.
- Do not place or use the appliance and its power cord on or near hot surfaces (e.g., hotplates) or open flames.
- Do not leave the power cord hanging over sharp edges and keep it away from hot objects and naked flames. Do not coil the cord around the appliance or bend it.
- Never use accessories not recommended by the manufacturer.
- The use of accessories not recommended or sold by the appliance manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock or injury to persons.
• To avoid electric shock, make sure your hands are dry before plugging
or unplugging the appliance.
- Do not use the appliance with wet hands, on wet floors or when the environment is damp, there is a risk of electric shock.
- Never immerse the appliance or the plug-in water or any other liquid. Should the appliance fall into water, disconnect it immediately from the mains and take it to an authorised service centre for repair before using it again.
- Don't use this heater in the immediate surroundings of a bath, a shower or a swimming pool. Never locate the heater where it may fall into bathtub or other water container.
- Do not use the appliance if it has fallen on the floor, if it shows visible signs of damage or if it is leaking.
- Do not use the appliance if the cable or plug is damaged. In the event of damage to the cord, it must be replaced only by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid hazards.
- In case of malfunction of the appliance, or if it has been damaged in any way, return the appliance to the nearest authorised service centre for examination, repair or adjustment.
- To avoid overloading the circuit when using this product, do not operate another high voltage product on the same electrical circuit.
- It is not recommended to use an extension cord with this product, but if an extension cord should be used:
- The marked electrical rating of the cable must be at least as good as that of the product.
- Arrange the extension cord so that it does not hang down where it can be tripped over or pulled unintentionally.

Restrictions for use with children and the elderly
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- Cleaning and maintenance of the user must not be carried out by children.
• Children must not play with the appliance. - This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
- Keep the appliance and its cord out of the reach of children under 8 years of age.
- Children under 3 years of age should be kept away from the appliance unless they are under constant supervision.
• Children from 3 to 8 years of age are allowed to operate the on/off button ONLY if the appliance is installed and ready for operation and
the children have been supervised and instructed in safe operation of the appliance and they understand all associated risks
- Children aged 3 to 8 years MUST NOT: insert the plug into the socket, make adjustment, clean the appliance or carry out user maintenance operations.
- Children aged from 3 to 8 years are allowed to load and unload refrigerating appliances.
- Do not allow children to play with the controls of the refrigerator.

Instructions to be followed when using the device
- In order to avoid overheating, do not cover the heater.
- Never leave the heater unattended while in use. Always turn the product to the OFF position and unplug it from the outlet when not in use.
- Make sure to disconnect it from the mains socket when not in use.
- Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children, invalids or an elderly person and whenever the heater is left unattended and operational.
- The heater must not be located immediately below an outlet socket.
- Do not leave the cord under carpets under rugs, runners or the like. Arrange the cord away from the movement area to avoid to not trip over it.
- Use the heater in a well-ventilated area. Do not insert or allow other objects to insert any type of ventilation or exhaust opening.
To avoid a possible fire, do not block air intakes or ventilation openings in any way. Do not use on soft surfaces, such as bedding, where openings may be blocked. Use the heater on a flat, dry surface only.
- Do not place the heater near flammable materials, surfaces or substances, as there is a risk of fire. Keep flammable materials, surfaces of substances at least 1m away from the front of the product and keep them away from the sides and rear.
- Do not use the heater in areas where petrol, paint or other flammable liquids are stored such as garages or workshops because there are hot, arcing or sparking parts inside the heater.
- This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns and personal injury, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. If provided, use the handles to move the product.
- This heater is filled with precise quantity of special oil.
- Repairs requiring opening of the oil and oil leakage, must be done by the manufacturer or its service agent for repair.
- Rules concerning the disposal of oil when scrapping the appliance must be followed.
- The heater must not be used in a room, of which the floor area is less than 5m^2 .
• NOTE: it is normal when the heaters are switched on for the first time
when they are switched on after they have not been used for a long period of time the heating elements may have noise inside. This noise will disappear when the heater has been switched on for a short time.
- Do not use the heater for drying clothes.
- Do not use this heater in small rooms when occupied by persons who are not capable of leaving the room alone, unless there is constant supervision.
• These heater models are supplied with movable castors, be sure to secure them before use. - WARNING: This heater is not equipped with a room temperature control device. Do not use in small rooms when occupied by persons who are not capable of leaving the room on their own, unless there is constant supervision.
- WARNING: To avoid overheating, do not cover the heater.

4. ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
The heater is packaged with the feet unattached. You must attach them before operating the heater. WARNING: Do not operate without feet attached. Do operate the heater only in upright position (feet on the bottom, controls on the top), any other position could create a hazardous situation.

Place the radiator body upside-down on a scratch-free location, make sure it is stable and will not fall.
-
Screw off the wing nuts from the U-shaped bolt provided, attach the U-shaped bolt to the U facing flange between first and second fins. (Near the front cover).

To attach the castor mounting plate to the radiator body, you should insert the threaded ends of the U bolt in the holes on the castor mounting plate.
-
Screw the wing nuts back to the U bolt and fasten the wing nut properly.
Note: do not over tighten, which may cause the damage to radiator flange.
- Repeat 2, 3 and 4 on the rear of radiator for mounting of the rear castors.
Note: the rear castors must be mounted between the last 2 fins.
Remark: Only for model SS-18455, fit the front wheels assembly at the bottom of front panel by two screws (see Fig 5), the other wheels assembly same as point 2, 3 and 4.
5. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
- Before using the heater, make sure that it is on it is placed on a flat and stable surface, damage may occur on an incline or declined surface.
- Set all the controls to OFF position and insert the plug into a socket-outlet with well grounded. make sure that plug flits firmly
- Rotate the thermostat knob clockwise to MAX position and switch the heater to low, medium and high
- When your room reaches the desired temperature, now slowly rotate the thermostat knob counter clockwise until the pilot light goes out. The thermostat can now be left at this setting. As soon as the room temperature has dropped below the set temperature, the unit will switch it self on automatically until the set temperature has been reached again. In this way the room temperature remains constant with the most economical use of electricity.
- If you want to change the room temperature setting, rotate the thermostat knob clockwise to raise the temperature, or counter clockwise to lower it.
- This heater includes an overheat protection system that shuts off the heater when parts of the heater are getting excessively hot.
- To completely shut the heater off, turn all the controls to OFF, and remove plug from the socket outlet.
Tip-over protection
This heater is protected with a safety switch that turns off the appliance automatically when the heater falls over, or is at an excessive angle from the horizontal. This helps prevent accidents, and the heater will resume operation when it is put back upright.
Overheat protection
This heater is protected with overheat protection that switches off the appliance automatically in case of severe overheating. In this case, unplug the appliance, wait about 30 minutes for it to cool and remove any possible cause of overheating, e.g., something covering the heater. Check for damage to the appliance, the cord and the plug. If there is no damage, plug the unit back in and switch it on as described above. If the heater still does not turn on, please contact Customer Service for assistance.
MAINTENANCE
- Always remove the plug from the socket-outlet and allow the radiator to cool down before clean the heater.
- Wipe radiator with a soft damp (not wet) cloth. WARNING:
Do not immerse the heater in water.
Do not use any cleaning chemicals such as detergents and abrasives.
Do not allow the interior to get wet as this could create a hazard.

To store away the heater, wind the cable round bobbin and store the heater in a clean dry place.

In case of malfunction or doubt, do not try to repair the radiator yourself, it may result in a fire Hazard or electric shock.
