How to turn on the Sogo CAL-SS-18355 heater?

Plug the appliance into a suitable outlet, then turn the thermostat knob clockwise to the desired position. The indicator light turns on to indicate operation.

What are the available heating modes?

The unit offers two modes: convection (gentle heating) and fan (rapid heat distribution). Select the mode via the dedicated switch.

How to adjust the temperature?

Turn the thermostat knob to increase or decrease the temperature. The heater stops automatically when the setpoint is reached and resumes when the temperature drops.

Is the heater safe if it tips over?

Yes, it is equipped with a tip-over safety device that cuts off power if the unit falls or tilts excessively.

What to do if the heater suddenly turns off?

Check that the overheat protection has not triggered. Unplug the unit, let it cool for about 15 minutes, then plug it back in. If the problem persists, contact customer service.

How to clean the heater filter?

The filter is located at the back of the unit. Carefully remove it, wash it with soapy water, rinse and dry completely before reinstalling. Perform this operation every month during use.

Can I use an extension cord?

It is not recommended to use an extension cord, but if necessary, use a properly rated model (minimum cross-section 1.5 mm²) and fully unrolled to avoid overheating.

What is the power consumption?

The maximum power is 2000 W in high position. In low position, it is 1000 W. This corresponds to approximately 2 kWh per hour in continuous operation at full power.

Does the heater emit an odor during first use?

It is normal for a slight odor to be emitted during the first few minutes, due to heating of new components. Make sure to ventilate the room and use the appliance in fan mode to speed up dissipation.

• Remove the packing and make sure that the appliance is intact. In case of doubt do not use the appliance and contact our after-sales service. Do not leave packaging materials like bags and staples within reach of children.
• Before switching on appliance check if the electrical voltage and frequency of the circuit correspond to those indicated on the appliance.
• The appliance has to be connected to a circuit according to the rules in force concerning the civil plant. The plant has to be related to the nominal power of the appliance and has to be provided with an earth –wire.
• Use the appliance only for the mentioned purpose, namely as a radiator for domestic use. Do not use it for any other application as it could get dangerous.
• The manufacture is not responsible for any eventual damages caused by improper or faulty use.
• The use of every electrical appliance calls for the awareness of some basic rules, such as:
• Never touch the appliance with wet or damp hands or feet.
• Never expose the appliance to atmospheric conditions (rain, sun, etc.)
• The appliance must be always placed on a flat and stable surface.

• Switch the appliance off and unplug it before cleaning.

• When the appliance is not in use switch it off and unplug it. Make harmless the parts of the appliance which could be handled hazardously by children for playing.

• Do not use this heater in the immediate surroundings of a bath, a shower or a swimming pool.
• Do not put the cable on the appliance when it still warm.
• A correct operation of the appliance is obtained when the radiator is installed vertically. Do not switch on the fan heater near pieces of furniture, curtains, shelves, etc.
• Do not use the appliance near liquids or inflammable matters.
• The appliance must not be located immediately below a socket outlet.
• In order to avoid overheating, do not cover the heater
• In case the power cord is damaged, send it to the nearest after sale service recommended by the manufacturer for the replacement.
• This appliance is not intended use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
• Do not connect the appliance to extension cords or multiple outlets.

• Do not damage and do not kink the power cord.

• Before cleaning the appliance or carrying out any maintenance switch off the whole system.

• If the appliance is out of work switch it off without tampering it, if any repair is required please contact only the after-sale centers approved by the manufacturer and ask for original spare parts. Otherwise safety of the appliance can be compromised.
• Children under 3 year of age should be kept away from the appliance unless they are under constant supervision.
• Children from 3 to 8 years of age are allowed to operate the on/off button ONLY, provide that the appliance is installed and ready for operation and such children have been supervised and instructed in safe operation of the appliance and they understand all related risks.
• Children from 3 to 8 years of age MUST NOT: connect the plug to power sockets, make adjustment, clean it or carry out user maintenance operations.
• This appliance should not be used by children younger than 8 years of age and by people with reduced physical, sensor and mental capabilities, as well as by people with insufficient experience and knowledge provided they are supervised or instructed in safe operation of the appliance and understand the related risk.
• Children should not be allowed to play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance operations must not be carried out by children without supervision.
• Warning: Do not use this appliance with a

programmer, counter or another device which can automatically turn it on because if the appliance is covered or incorrectly positioned there is a danger of fire.

CAUTION

Some parts of this product can become very hot and cause burns. Particular attention has to be given where children and vulnerable people are present.

ASSEMBLY

• Assemble the body frame and the base plate together as the following sequences
• Remove the butterfly nuts from the lower part of the body frame.
• Insert the power cord through the slot placed in the middle part of the basement and then assemble the body frame to the base plate.
• Secure the body frame to the base plate by means of the two butterfly nuts previously removed. Insert the power cord through the suitable slots and then fix it by the clamp.

OPERATION

Plug in the appliance. Check that the outlet has at least a 10AMPERAGE current carrying capacity.

Models with switches

- Select the speed by suitable switches. Press the oscillating switch to make the radiator oscillate. Press it again to switch off the oscillating movement of the appliance.

- The radiator can be activated manually by pressing the handle situated in the rear part of the appliance.

SAFETY DEVICE

- This appliance is provided with safety devices disconnects the appliance when the radiator is tilted or when is tipped by means of a switch situated in the lower part of the radiator.

MAINTENANCE

• The appliance needs only an external regular cleaning.
• After use and before cleaning always unplug the appliance and wait till the item is cool.
- Clean the grilles from dust.
- Do not clean the painted parts with emery flour or solvents and use only a moistened cloth.
