OFF ONCOOKING RICE
Rice is nutritious and low in fat. This rice cooker is for cooking rice. It is easy to use and it is automatic. Steamed rice is tastier. The rice cooker can cook white rice or rice with different flavours by adding other ingredients. You will love the different varieties of rice you can cook with this rice cooker. Always use the included measuring cup every time you cook rice.
To cook rice, follow these measurements: Measure the amount of rice you want to cook. One cup of uncooked rice yields approximately 1 1/2 to 2 cups of cooked rice and serves 1 to 2 people.
Place the washed rice in the inner pot. Add water according to the measurement chart or measuring line on the pot. For example: for 4 cups of uncooked rice, add water up to line 4 of the pot. Place the pot into the steamer/fryer, connect the AC cord into the steamer and then plug into an outlet (this is done when you are ready to cook). Press the button and the indicator light will come on, when the rice cooking finishes, the button will turn to the warm position, indicating that the rice will remain warm. Unplug after every single use.
STEAM COOKING
Steaming is one of the best and most nutritious cooking methods. Steamed food retains its flavours, vitamins and nutrients.
This appliance supports two methods of steam cooking of vegetables and other foods. One of the methods is as described below in the following section.
The other method is to use the SPECIAL ALÜMINIUM STEAMING TRAY ACCESSORY provided with this product. If you use the STEAM TRAY you will save both water and energy as the same water and power is used to cook the additional vegetables or fish, chicken or other foods in the top steamer tray and rice will be cooked in the bottom-ceramic coated pot.
FRESH OR FROZEN VEGETABLES TO STEAM (USING THE NON-STICK POT)
The cooking time of vegetables is determined by the amount of water added and the softness and size of plants or vegetables. Frozen vegetables can be cooked directly from the package. Fresh vegetables must be washed before cooking.
The following table suggests the proper amount of water to cook vegetables to an average level. Use of less water cooks the vegetables more crunchy.
The packed frozen vegetables need 10 to 12 minutes of steam time using 12 cup of water.
For larger pieces, use 34 cup of water. Once they are cooked, pls disconnect the appliance and add some water in the pot to prevent sticking vegetable to the bottom of the pot.
