Lanaform ^® are pleased to present to you their new revolutionary massage chair. With an exemplary finish, the “EXCELLENCE ^® ” massage chair combines all the necessary massage functions and techniques to allow you time to relax and unwind like never before. In fact, it combines «Shiatsu», compression and vibration massage which soothe tired muscles and reduce tension and muscle pain.

Thanks to its various massage techniques and the options offered, you will feel soothed around the back, nape of the neck and shoulder areas as well as around the lumbar and thigh areas.

In addition, it is operated with a user-friendly control which fits comfortably into the palm of your hand. The "EXCELLENCE®" can be used in the office, at home, etc.

PLEASE READ ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS PRIOR TO USING YOUR «EXCELLENCE®», IN PARTICULAR THESE FEW BASIC SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:

• Only use this appliance for the purposes described in this manual.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) whose physical, sensory or mental capabilities are impaired, or by persons lacking experience or knowledge, unless they have had the benefit of prior supervision and instruction in using the device from a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
• Please do not use accessories which are not recommended by LANAFORM® or which are not supplied with this appliance.
• If the power supply lead is damaged, it must be replaced by a similar lead available from the supplier or its after-sales service.
• Do not use this appliance if the plug is damaged, if it is not working correctly, if it has been dropped or if it is damaged or if it has fallen into water. If this is the case, have the appliance inspected and repaired by the supplier or its after-sales department.
• Do not carry this appliance by its supply lead or use this lead as a handle.
• Never use drawing pins or other metal attachments with this appliance.
  • Always disconnect the appliance from the mains after use or before cleaning it.
• Should the appliance fall into water, unplug it immediately before retrieving it.
• An electrical appliance should never be left plugged in and unsupervised. Disconnect it from the mains if you are not using it.
• Do not use this product before going to bed. Massage has a stimulating effect which may inhibit sleep.
• Do not use this massage appliance while you are asleep.
• Do not climb on, overload or exert too much pressure on the massage chair.
• Never let anything fall into and never insert anything into one of the openings.
• Keep the power lead away from hot surfaces.
• Do not expose the massage chair to sunlight.
• Do not place the massage chair near a heat source or combustible materials.
• Never use this appliance in a room where aerosol products (sprays) are used or in a room where oxygen is administered.
• Do not use this appliance under a cover or under a cushion. Excessive heat may cause a fire, electrocution of the individual or other injuries.
• When unplugging the appliance, please make sure that the «On/Off« button is switched off before removing the plug.
• Wait at least an hour after eating before using this appliance.

• If you are worried about your health, consult a doctor before using this appliance.

• If you feel any pain while using this appliance, stop using it immediately and consult your doctor.

• Do not use this appliance for more than 15 minutes at a time.
• Never use this appliance on a part of the body which is swollen or inflamed or if you have any form of skin rash.
• This product is a non-professional massage appliance designed to soothe tired muscles. Do not use this appliance as a replacement for medical care, it is intended exclusively for family use.
• This product is not suitable for the following people: people with chronic or serious illnesses, pregnant women, children, people who have recently undergone surgery, people who wear a pacemaker, etc. Consult your doctor of you think you may be at risk when using this product.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a special cord or assembly available from the manufacturer or its service agent.
• The appliance has a heated surface. Person insensitive to heat must be careful when using the appliance.

HOW TO USE

2) Description of the "EXCELLENCE®":

To protect the appliance's massage mechanism during its transport, it is provided with two locking screws located at the rear of the seat. Prior to using the "Excellence®" for the first time, please remove these carefully using the Allen key supplied with the appliance.

«EXCELLENCE®» has a system of straps enabling you to fix it to any chair. Simply pass the straps around the chair back, bring them together and fix them to each other using the two adhesive ends.

3) Using the "EXCELLENCE®":

Once connected to the socket, the «EXCELLENCE®» is ready for use.

- On/Off

Starting or stopping the appliance is controlled by simply pressing the red button (point 1).

• Headrest height adjustment (point 2)

For a suitable massage, remember to adjust the height of the headrest prior to selecting one or more massage modes, for a comfortable massage around the nape of the neck and shoulders. Attention, you cannot adjust the height of the headrest once the nape of the neck, shoulder or lumbar area massages have been activated.

- "Demo" mode (point 3)

This mode consists of a sequence of different massages. This function is valuable since it offers a varied massage. The intensity (indicator light point 11) of the massage can also be selected by pressing this button (point 3) several times. To deactivate this mode, press the button successively until the indicator light is not illuminated (point 11) or select another mode.

Nape of the neck, shoulder and lumbar area massage:

As for compression massage around the lumbar area and also around the shoulders and neck, this gives a relaxing feeling through a softening and low-level mobilisation effect. This massage chair offers two types of compression massage.

• 'Vitality' mode (point 4)

This mode consists of a stimulating massage of the nape of the neck, shoulders and lumbar area. This massage mode focuses more on the lumbar area massage. By pressing this button several times, you can select the massage intensity (indicator light point 11). You can also press this button several times to deactivate this massage.

- 'Relax' mode (point 5)

This mode consists of a relaxing massage of the nape of the neck, shoulders and lumbar area. This massage mode focuses more on massaging the nape of the neck and shoulders. As with the 'Vitality' massage, the intensity (indicator light point 11) is adjustable by pressing this button several times, just as you do to stop it.

The 'Vitality' and 'Relax' massage modes can be used in conjunction with the Shiatsu massage.

Back massage:

Shiatsu massage consists in stretching and pressurising certain points on the body so as to aid the free circulation of energy, reducing stress and tension. Carried out all over the back or on a specific area, the Shiatsu massage is both relaxing and energising.

- Massaging the back

You also have the luxury of selecting a specific area or the whole of your back; depending on the desired massage area:

- Your entire back (point 6).

- Your upper back (point 7).

- Your lower back (point 8).

When using the Shiatsu back massage, press the same button again to deactivate it.

• The 'Heating' function (point 9)

The 'Heating' function makes it possible to improve blood circulation and relax muscles. This function can only be activated with the back massage. Press this button to activate or deactivate the heating function.

Massage by vibrations:

- You can enjoy the vibrating seat (point 10) which you can either activate or not, alone or in conjunction with the other modes. By activating this function, the seat vibrates, automatically passing through various vibration modes: waves → pulsation → constant compression waves etc.

COMMENTS:

• For your safety, the appliance is provided with an automatic shutdown system after 15 minutes. If you want to continue your massage, press the On/Off button again (point 1) and then select your massage mode.
• Once your session has ended, the 'Shiatsu' massage mechanism is replaced in its start position, i.e. at the bottom of the cushion. If the appliance is disconnected before the end of this operation, the mechanism will return to this position once reconnected. Also don't forget to fold over the headrest on the back before storing it away.

MAINTENANCE

Storage

• Put the "EXCELLENCE®" in its box in a dry place.
• Avoid it coming into contact with sharp edges and other pointed objects which might cut or pierce the fabric surface.
• In order to avoid any breakage of the power lead, do not wind it around the cushion.
• Do not hang the cushion up by the manual control lead or the power lead.

Cleaning

• Disconnect the cushion from the power socket and wait for a few minutes before cleaning it.
• Clean it with a soft, slightly damp sponge.
• Never let water or any other liquid come into contact with the cushion.
• Do not immerse it in liquid to clean it.
• Never use abrasive detergents, brushes or a thinning agent to clean it.

No part of the cushion can be maintained by the user. For any repairs owing to a malfunction, take the appliance to your reseller who will ensure it is inspected by our after-sales department.

ADvICE REGARDING THE DISPOSAL OF WASTE

• All the packaging is composed of materials that pose no hazard for the environment and which can be disposed of at your local sorting centre to be used as secondary raw materials. The cardboard may be disposed of in a paper recycling bin. The packaging film must be taken to your local sorting and recycling centre.
• When you have finished using the device, please dispose of it in an environmentally friendly way and in accordance with the law.

LIMITED WARRANTY

LANAFORM® guarantees this product against any material or manufacturing defect for a period of two years from the date of purchase, except in the circumstances described below.

The LANAFORM ^® guarantee does not cover damage caused as a result of normal wear to this product. In addition, the guarantee covering this LANAFORM ^® product does not cover damage caused by abusive or inappropriate or incorrect use, accidents, the use of unauthorized accessories, changes made to the product or any other circumstance, of whatever sort, that is outside LANAFORM ^® 's control.

LANAFORM ^® may not be held liable for any type of circumstantial, indirect or specific damage.

All implicit guarantees relating to the suitability of the product are limited to a period of two years from the initial date of purchase as long as a copy of the proof of purchase can be supplied.

On receipt, LANAFORM ^® will repair or replace your appliance at its discretion and will return it to you. The guarantee is only valid through LANAFORM ^® 's Service Centre ^® . Any attempt to maintain this product by a person other than LANAFORM ^® 's Service Centre will render this guarantee void.
