How do I connect the radio to my Wi-Fi network?

When first powered on, select your language, then choose Yes to configure the network. Select your Wi-Fi network from the list, enter the password using the dial or remote control, and confirm. The screen will show the main menu once connected.

Can I listen to the radio without an internet connection?

Yes, you can use FM and DAB+ modes which do not require internet. Make sure to extend the antenna for better reception.

How do I stream music from my smartphone via Bluetooth?

Press the Mode button (12) until Bluetooth is selected. Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone, search for 'RDIN5005BK' and pair. Use the buttons on the radio or remote control to control playback.

How do I set the alarm?

Press the Alarm button (27) on the remote control. Use the arrows to select alarm 1 or 2, set the time, source (FM, DAB, Internet or buzzer) and confirm with OK.

Does the radio have a snooze function?

Yes, press the Sleep button (22) on the remote control to set a duration (15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes). The radio will turn off automatically after that time.

How do I save a station as a preset?

Tune to the desired station, then press and hold the Preset button (16) until the screen displays 'Preset 1'. Turn the dial to select a preset number (1-4) and press to confirm. You can also use the number keys on the remote control.

How do I quickly mute the sound?

Press the Mute button (18) on the radio or the Mute button (26) on the remote control. Press again to restore sound.

What should I do if the radio cannot find any Wi-Fi network?

Check that your router is on and you are within range (less than 12 meters). Move the radio closer to the router and restart the search. Ensure Wi-Fi is enabled on the router. If the problem persists, restart the router and radio.

Can I use the remote control without a battery?

No, the remote control requires a battery to operate. Open the battery compartment on the back and insert a coin cell battery respecting the polarities (+/-).

How do I reset the radio to factory settings?

In the main menu, go to Configuration, then System Settings, select Reset and confirm. All customized settings will be erased.

Intended use

The Nedis RDIN5005BK is a multifunctional internet radio.

The radio incorporates FM, DAB+ and internet radio.

The product is equipped with timer, alarm, nap, dimmer, sleeper and weather forecast functions.

You can control the radio manually, with remote or pair it with your smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth to stream music.

The product is intended for indoor use only.

The product is not intended for professional use.

This product is not intended for use by persons (including children) with a reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the product by a person responsible for their safety.

Any modification of the product may have consequences for safety, warranty and proper functioning.

Place the battery

1. Insert the required batteries into the battery compartment on the rear of the remote control A 5. Observe the plus (+) and minus (−) marks on the cell, battery and equipment and ensure correct use.

Connecting the product

1. Plug the power cable A 6 into the power input A 8.
2. Plug the other end of A 6 into a power outlet.

Charging your phone

1. Connect a smartphone or tablet with a USB cable to the USB port A 3 to charge the device.

Network configuration (LAN/WLAN)

Any walls or ceilings may reduce the strength of the Wi-Fi connectivity.
Install the product within a distance of 1205 meters from the Wi-Fi access point.
If you use the product for the first time, the system will ask you to set language and network configurations.

1. Switch the product on with B 11.

2. Select the language.

3. "Enable 'Check Network' when Power On?" Select "Yes" to connect to the network.
4. "Would you like to configure Network now?"

• Yes. The system starts scanning for wireless networks. The display shows a list of available wireless networks.
• Yes (WPS). Press the WPS button on your Wi-Fi router. (WPS routers only)
• No. If you want to listen to a terrestrial station or to use the speaker with an external device.

1. Turn the volume control dial B 17 to select.

2. Press B 17 to confirm.

The display B10 shows "No Wireless Networks Found", if the product does not find any wireless networks. Change the location of the product and check your WLAN router.

1. Select your network.
2. Press the OK button C 30 to confirm.
3. Enter the password.

Radio:

1. Turn B 17 to select a letter or digit.
2. Press the next button B 14 for the next letter or digit.
3. Repeat the above steps for the complete password.
4. Press B 17 to confirm the password.

Press the previous button B ^14 if you enter a wrong letter or digit, Go to the relevant entry space and correct the letter or digit. Press the next button B ^14 if you want to go to the next entry space.

Remote control:

1. Press the relevant digit buttons C 24 or use the arrow buttons C 23.
2. Press C 30 to confirm a letter or digit.
3. Press C 30 to confirm the password.

Extend the antenna A 1 for the best possible radio reception.

If the Wi-Fi connection is successful, the display B10 will show the main menu.

The product connects automatically if you use the product again within the Wi-Fi network. Change the network configuration if you want to change the Wi-Fi network.
