CAUTION! RISK OF INJURY! Make sure that when the light is removed, the ground stakes are also removed, so that they cannot pose any risk (e.g. stumbling over them).
Make sure the solar cell is free of dirt and free of snow and ice in winter. Otherwise the performance of the solar panel will be diminished.
Cold temperatures negatively impact the battery operating time. If the solar fairy lights garden set will not be used for extended periods, e.g. in winter, it should be cleaned and stored in a dry, warm location. If this happens, switch off the product and remove the rechargeable battery.
The solar fairy lights garden set must not be connected with the power supply while it is still in its packaging, provided that the packaging has not been adjusted for exhibition purposes.
The LEDs are non-replaceable.
If the light source has reached the end of its service life, the entire light must be replaced.

Safety instructions for rechargeable batteries

RISK OF WARNING! ACCIDENT AND DANGER TO LIFE FOR INFANTS AND CHIL
DREN! Rechargeable batteries are not intended to be in the hands of children. Do not leave the batteries lying around. There is a danger that these will be swallowed by children or pets. If they are accidentally swallowed seek immediate medical attention.

CAUTION!
EXPLOSION HAZARD! Use only rechargeable batteries of the recom-. pte. Other rechargeable or single-use could explode during charging.

FIRE HAZARD! Never short-circuit
rechargeable batteries. Otherwise the rechargeable batteries may overheat,
become a fire hazard or explode.

CAUTION!
EXPLOSION HAZARD! Never
throw rechargeable batteries into
fire or water.
Expired or drained rechargeable batteries may leak chemicals which will damage the product. Therefore remove the rechargeable battery if the fairy lights will not be used for extended periods.

WEAR PROTECTIVE GLOVES!
Leaked or damaged rechargeable batteries could cause chemical burns
on contact with the skin; you should therefore wear suitable protective gloves at all times if such an event occurs.
Only use rechargeable batteries of the correct size and and the recommended type (see section "Technical data").
Make sure you fit the battery with the right polarity. This is displayed on the solar cell housing.
Functionality
The solar cell built into the product converts sunlight into electricity and stores it in a Li-lon rechargeable battery. The light switches on at dusk. The built-in LED is an energy-saving illuminant with a very long life. The light duration depends on the amount of sunlight, the angle at which light hits the solar panel, and the temperature (the battery capacity varies by temperature). A vertical angle of light at temperatures above the freezing point is ideal. The rechargeable battery will only achieve its maximum capacity after several charging and discharging cycles.
- Initial use
Before first use, remove the protective film from the solar panel 1.
- Assembling the fairy lights (10643A/10643B/10643C)
Insert the ground stake 3 into the solar cell housing 2 (see Fig. A).
Place the light cover 4 onto the base plate 5 with some force (see Fig. B).
Model 10643A only: Then tighten the light cover by turning it anticlockwise. In doing so, pay attention to the recesses
Model 10643A only: To loosen the connection, turn the light cover 4 clockwise from the base plate 5.
- Attach the ground stakes 7 to the base plates 5 by inserting the ground stakes 7 into the prefabricated notches on the underside of the base plates 5 and tighten them by turning them counterclockwise.
- Installing the fairy lights

Wear protective gloves when assembling and setting up the fairy lights.
Ensure when setting them up that they are securely positioned.
Push the ground stake 3 for the solar cell housing 2 far enough into the ground (lawn, flower bed) so it is firmly positioned upright in the ground.
Make sure it is firmly positioned. Do not use any force when assembling or setting up the product, e.g. hammer blows. This will damage the product. In order to achieve the best result, set the solar fairy lights garden set up in a place where the solar cell will get direct sunlight for as long as possible.
Make sure the solar cell is not impacted by other light sources, e.g. yard- or street lighting, or the light will not switch on at twilight. In low light the
light will automatically switch on, and automatically switch off in normal ambient light.
Insert the lanterns 6 with the ground stakes 7 so far into the ground (lawn, flower bed) that they are positioned securely and upright in the ground (see Fig. C).
- Switching the fairy lights on/off (see Fig. D)
Slide the switch 10 to position "W" or "C" to switch the fairy lights 8 on. The fairy lights 8 will automatically switch on or off at twilight.
Slide the switch 10 to the "OFF" position to switch the fairy lights 8 off.
- Charging
The battery charging period using the solar cell depends on the intensity of the sunlight and the angle incidence of the light on the solar cell. Place the solar cell as perpendicular as possible to the angle of light incidence. In this way you will receive the highest light levels. The rechargeable battery only charges when the product is switched on. For this purpose, slide the switch 10 to position "W" or "C".
Disposal
The packaging is made entirely of recyclable materials, which you may dispose of at local recycling facilities.

Observe the marking of the packaging materials for waste separation, which are marked with abbreviations (a) and numbers (b) with following meaning: 1-7: plastics/20-22: paper and fibreboard/80-98: composite materials.
