How to install the Fibaro FGT001 thermostatic head?
First, remove your old thermostatic head. Depending on the valve type (M30x1.5, Danfoss RTD-N or RA-N), use the supplied adapter if necessary. Place the head on the valve and tighten by turning the cover clockwise. Press the button for at least 1 second to turn on the device.
How to charge the thermostat battery?
Connect the charger to the device's micro-USB port. The LED indicates charging: it blinks green when the battery is fully charged. Then disconnect the charger. The battery is built-in and non-replaceable.
How to pair the thermostat with a Z-Wave controller?
Put the main Z-Wave controller into 'add' mode. On the thermostat head, triple-click the button. The LED blinks white. If S2 pairing is required, enter the PIN code on the label (underlined part of the public key). Successful pairing is confirmed by the controller.
What to do if the LED does not blink after pressing the button?
Check that the battery is charged. Plug in the micro-USB charger and wait a few minutes. If the problem persists, reset the device by holding the button for 10 seconds or contact Fibaro support.
Is the external temperature sensor mandatory?
No, it is optional. The thermostat already has a built-in temperature sensor. The external sensor (powered by a CR2032 battery) can be used to measure temperature in another room or a more representative location.
How to install the external temperature sensor (optional)?
Use a coin to open the sensor battery cover by turning counterclockwise. Remove the tab under the battery, then close the cover by turning clockwise. Press the sensor button: the LED blinks green 5 times if the connection with the thermostatic head is successful.
What types of valves are compatible with the Fibaro Heat Controller?
Supported valves are: M30 x 1.5 (standard), Danfoss RTD-N and Danfoss RA-N. Adapters are supplied for Danfoss valves.
Can I program heating schedules?
Yes, via the Fibaro app or your Z-Wave controller, you can create schedules to manage the temperature according to your needs, for example for the weekend.
What to do in case of failure or malfunction?
First, consult the online manual at manuals.fibaro.com. If the problem persists, contact Fibaro technical support at https://www.fibaro.com/support/. For a warranty claim, follow the procedure described in the manual: send an email to support to obtain an RMA number and the address of the authorized warranty service.
How to clean and maintain the thermostat?

FIBARO Heat Controller is a remotely controlled thermostatic head to control temperature in your room. It measures the temperature and automatically adjusts the heat level.

It can be mounted without tools on three types of thermostatic radiator valves.

You can create schedules via app to easily manage temperature throughout the week.

First launch

  1. Connect the charger to the micro-USB port to charge the device.

If you have the temperature sensor:

a. Use a coin to open the battery cover by turning it counter-clockwise.
b. Remove the sticker underneath the battery.
c. Use a coin to close the battery cover by turning it clockwise.

  1. Disconnect the charger when the LED ring pulses green (device fully charged).
  2. Dismount your current thermostatic head.
  3. Depending on type of your valve:

  1. Mount the device on the valve and tighten it by turning the cap clockwise.

b. The LED ring will blink green 5 times if the connection was successful.

  1. Set the main Z-Wave controller in add mode.
  2. Triple click the button on the thermostatic head. The LED ring will start blinking white.
  3. If you are adding in S2 authenticated mode, type in the device pin code (underlined part of the public key on the label).
  4. Successful adding will be confirmed by the controller.

Warranty terms and conditions

  1. FIBAR GROUP S.A. with its registered office in Wysogotowo, ul. Serdeczna 3, 62-081 Wysogotowo, ul. Lotnicza 1, 60-421 Poznań, entered into the Register of Entrepreneurs of the National Court Register maintained by the District Court for Poznań-Nowe Miasto and Wilda in Poznań, VIII Commercial Division of the National Court Register (KRS) under number: 553265, NIP 7811858097, REGON: 301595664, share capital PLN 1,182,100 paid in full, other contact information is available at: www.fibaro.com (hereinafter "the Manufacturer") guarantees that the device sold (hereinafter: "the Device" is free from material and manufacturing defects.
  2. The Manufacturer shall be responsible for malfunctioning of the Device resulting from physical defects inherent in the Device that cause its operation to be incompatible with the specifications within the period of:
  3. 24 months from the date of purchase by the consumer,
  4. 12 months from the date of purchase by a business customer (the consumer and business customer are further collectively referred to as "Customer").
  5. The Manufacturer shall remove any defects revealed during the guarantee period, free of charge, by repairing or replacing (at the sole discretion of the Manufacturer) the defective components of the Device with new or regenerated components. The manufacturer reserves the right to replace the entire Device with a new or regenerated device. The Manufacturer shall not refund money paid for the device.
  6. Under special circumstances, the Manufacturer may replace the Device with a different device most similar in technical characteristics.
  7. Only the holder of a valid guaranty document shall be entitled to make claims under guarantee.
  8. Before making a complaint, the Manufacturer recommends using the telephone or online support

available at https://www.fibaro.com/support/.

  1. In order to make a complaint, the Customer should contact the Manufacturer via the email address given at https://www.fibaro.com/support/.
  2. After the complaint has been properly filed, the Customer will receive contact details for the Authorized Guarantee Service ("AGS"). The customer should contact and deliver the Device to AGS. Upon receipt of the Device, the manufacturer shall inform the Customer of the return merchandise authorization number (RMA).
  3. Defects shall be removed within 30 days from the date of delivering the Device to AGS. The guarantee period shall be extended by the time in which the Device was kept by AGS.
  4. The faulty device shall be provided by the Customer with complete standard equipment and documents proving its purchase.
  5. The cost of transporting the Device in the territory of the Republic of Poland shall be covered by the Manufacturer. The costs of the Device transport from other countries shall be covered by the Customer. For unjustified complaints, AGS may charge the Customer with costs related to the case.
  6. AGS shall not accept a complaint claim when:

- the Device was misused or the manual was not observed,

- the Device was provided by the Customer incomplete, without accessories or nameplate,

- it was determined that the fault was caused by other reasons than a material or manufacturing defect of the Device

- the guarantee document is not valid or there is no proof of purchase,

  1. The guarantee shall not cover:

  2. mechanical damages (cracks, fractures, cuts, abrasions, physical deformations caused by impact, falling or dropping the device or other object, improper use or not observing the operating manual);

  3. damages resulting from external causes, e.g.: flood, storm, fire, lightning, natural disasters, earthquakes, war, civil disturbance, force majeure, unforeseen accidents, theft, water damage, liquid leakage, battery spill, weather conditions, sunlight, sand, moisture, high or low temperature, air pollution;
  4. damages caused by malfunctioning software, attack of a computer virus, or by failure to update the software as recommended by the Manufacturer;

  5. damages resulting from: surges in the power and/or telecommunication network, improper connection to the grid in a manner inconsistent with the operating manual, or from connecting other devices not recommended by the Manufacturer.

  6. damages caused by operating or storing the device in extremely adverse conditions, i.e. high humidity, dust, too low (freezing) or too high ambient temperature. Detailed permissible conditions for operating the Device are defined in the operating manual;
  7. damages caused by using accessories not recommended by the Manufacturer
  8. damages caused by faulty electrical installation of the Customer, including the use of incorrect fuses;
  9. damages caused by Customer's failure to provide maintenance and servicing activities defined in the operating manual;
  10. damages resulting from the use of spurious spare parts or accessories improper for given model, repairing and introducing alterations by unauthorized persons;
  11. defects caused by operating faulty Device or accessories.
  12. The guarantee shall not cover natural wear and tear of the Device and its components listed in the operating manual and in technical documentation as such elements have a defined operational life.
  13. The Device Guarantee shall not exclude, limit or suspend the Customer's warranty rights.
  14. The Manufacturer shall not be liable for damages to property caused by defective device. The Guarantor shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any damages, including, inter alia, loss of profits, savings, data, loss of benefits, claims by third parties and any other damages arising from or related to the use of the Device.
