Run a 220ml cycle of water into a cup and then discard it, in order to remove any final carbon residues from the filter. The benefits of using Claris Filter cartridge You can use your Quick & Hot without a cartridge but for best results we recommend using a Claris filter cartridge. The Claris Filter cartridge will only filter the water as you dispense it, so you always have fresh filtered water. The cartridge contains an antilime substance and activated carbon that reduces chlorine, impurities, lead, copper, pesticides etc that are present in water. Minerals and trace elements are preserved. You can purchase a cartridge - ref: XH5001 from our web site: www.tefal.com
