Refer to the contact sheet in the carton.6 - English Setup Connecting the adapter to your audio system Connect the adapter to your system using a provided cable. Refer to your audio system owner’s guide to choose the best cable for connecting sources. Note: Do not make more than one audio connection. Option 1: optical cable The optical cable is the preferred connection to your system. If your system does not have an optical connector, see “Option 2: 3.5 mm audio cable” on page 7.

1. Remove the clear protective cap from both ends of the cable.

2. Align the plug with the OPTICAL connector on the adapter and insert the

plug carefully. Note: The connector’s hinged door swings inward when inserting the plug. CAUTION: Inserting the plug in the wrong orientation can damage the plug and the connector.

3. Firmly push the plug into the connector until it clicks.

4. Insert the other end of the cable into your system’s optical connector.

Note: Make sure the input you have selected does not have any other sources connected. 5VEnglish - 7 Setup Option 2: 3.5 mm audio cable Use the 3.5 mm audio cable if your system does not have an optical connector. See “Adapter memory” on page 12. Connecting a paired mobile device If you have disconnected your device by turning off Bluetooth

or by connecting a fourth device, you will have to re-connect your device. You do not have to re-pair your device unless you have cleared the adapter’s memory, or have paired more than 8 devices. See “Adapter memory” on page 12.

2. On your mobile device, turn Bluetooth on.

3. Select Bose Bluetooth Audio Adapter.

Until the device connects, the Bluetooth indicator on the adapter blinks white. When the adapter and Bluetooth enabled device have successfully connected, the indicator glows white and emits a tone through your audio system. Multi-point connectivity Multi-point connectivity enables your Bose

Audio adapter to maintain an active connection with up to three mobile devices.

1. Pair and connect your Bluetooth enabled devices. See “Pairing a mobile

2. Play music from your first connected device.

3. Pause your first device, and play music from your second or third connected

device. The second or third device’s music plays from your audio system. Notes:

• You must pause your music from your active device to play another connected device.

Audio adapter’s memory holds up to eight paired devices. When the memory is full with eight devices and an additional device is paired, the last device paired is deleted from memory and the newly paired device is added. Clearing memory Press and hold on the adapter (about 10 seconds). The indicator quickly blinks white and emits a tone through your audio system when the device list is cleared. • Power on your audio system.

• Turn up the volume on your audio system and on your Bluetooth enabled device (or music app).

• Try pairing another mobile device.

• Select the correct source input for the adapter on your audio system.

• Connect the adapter to an optical connector that does not have a video output already connected.

• For more information on connecting sources to your audio system, refer to your audio system owner’s guide. Poor sound quality from a Bluetooth enabled device

• Move the mobile device closer to the adapter, and away from any interference.

• Try pairing another mobile device. Cannot connect to multiple devices

• Make sure your devices are paired.

• Clear the adapter’s memory: Press and hold for 10 seconds. Try pairing again. See “Adapter memory” on page 12. Cleaning Clean the surface of the system with a soft, dry cloth.

• Do not use solvents, chemicals, or sprays.
