What is the procedure for changing the replaceable inserts?
Disconnect the machine before any intervention. Remove the protective plates, unscrew the fixing screw (21) and remove the used insert. Clean the clamping surfaces, turn or replace the insert, then retighten to a torque of 3.5 Nm. Put the plates back in place.
How to adjust the chamfer height?
First adjust the chamfer angle (screw 18). Use the provided diagram to determine the X value based on the angle and desired height. Turn the adjustment ring (7) to display the X value on the graduated scale (9). Make a test chamfer and adjust if necessary.
Can I use this machine on stainless steel?
Yes, the KFM 1510 F edge router is designed for steel, stainless steel and aluminum. For stainless steel and aluminum, it is mandatory to use a cutting lubricant (ref. 6.23443) and set a lower speed (positions 1-3 for stainless steel).
What to do if the electronic indicator lights up during operation?
The electronic indicator (11) indicates an overload. Let the machine run idle until the indicator goes out. If the indicator flashes, the restart protection has triggered: turn off and then on the machine.
How to adjust the chamfer angle?
Unscrew the screws (13) and remove the upper protective plates. Loosen the front and rear screws (18), then turn the guide rail (15) to the desired angle (read on scale 17). Retighten the screws and put the plates back in place.

How to clean the machine properly?

For steel up to 400 N/mm² use positions 4-6; up to 600 N/mm²: positions 3-5; up to 900 N/mm²: positions 2-4. For stainless steel, use positions 1-3. Make a test to find the optimal setting.
How to use the auxiliary handle?
Always mount a handle (stirrup 1 or side 5) before use. For the stirrup handle, place the locking discs, screw the thumb screws and adjust the angle. For the side handle, screw it directly onto the left or right side of the machine.
What to do if the machine starts jerkily or does not start?
If the cord is plugged while the switch is in the on position, the restart protection activates: turn off and on again. In case of overload, let it cool down. Electromagnetic disturbances can also cause fluctuations; stop and restart the machine.
