How to use the waffle iron for the first time?

Before first use, heat the waffle iron empty for about 10 minutes to remove manufacturing residues. Make sure the room is well ventilated, as a slight odor or smoke may appear. Let it cool, then clean the plates with a damp cloth.

Why does my waffle iron smoke during first use?

This is normal. Manufacturing residues burn off during the first heating. Ensure good ventilation and wait for the smoke to stop. It poses no danger.

What is the best temperature for cooking waffles?

The recommended setting is position 2 to 5. For golden and fluffy waffles, start at 3. Adjust according to your taste. The green light indicates the temperature is reached.

How to clean the heating plates after use?

Unplug the appliance and let it cool completely. Wipe the plates with paper towel or a soft damp cloth. For stubborn residues, pour a little cooking oil, wait 5 minutes, then wipe. Never use metal or abrasive objects.

Can I use a metal spatula?

No, only use wooden or heat-resistant plastic spatulas to avoid scratching the non-stick coating. Metal objects can damage the plates.

What to do if waffles stick?

Make sure to lightly grease the plates before cooking. Check that the temperature is high enough (position 3-5). If waffles still stick, increase the cooking time and wait for the green light to come on before opening.

Does the waffle iron shut off automatically?

No, the waffle iron does not have an automatic shut-off. Never leave it unattended while plugged in. Unplug it after use.

Can I reheat already cooked waffles?

Yes, set the temperature selector to position 1 (warming). Do not add additional batter. Place the waffles on the heating plate and close the lid for a few moments.

What waffle batter recipe do you recommend?

Mix 125 g butter, 100 g sugar, 1 packet vanilla sugar, 250 ml milk, 2 eggs, 250 g flour, and 1/2 packet baking powder. Pour about 3 tablespoons of batter per waffle. Cook at position 5 for 1.5 to 2 minutes.

How to store the appliance?

BEFORE FIRST TIME USE

To remove production residue, run the product for approx. 10 minutes without foodstuffs. Make sure there is sufficient ventilation as a slight odor and some smoke may occur. This is harmless and will disappear shortly.

BAKING WAFFLE

Fig. 3 Turn the temperature dial to desired position 2-5. Once the temperature is reached, the control lamp lights green.

Caution: Do not touch the product's hot surfaces. Heat rises from the product during use.

Note: You can determine the degree of browning either by adjusting the temperature dial or through the baking time.

RECIPB BASIS BATTER (FOR APPROX. 9-10 PIECES)

Ingredients:

125 g butter
100g sugar
- 8 g vanilla sugar (1 pack)
250 ml / 1/4 l milk
2 eggs
250gflour
- 7 g backing powder (1/2 pack)

According to individual taste cinnamon, cocoa powder or grated coconut can be added alternatively.

1. Stir eggs, sugar and butter/margarine to a smooth dough.
2. Add vanilla sugar. Stir in flour and baking powder.
3. Add and stir the milk bit by bit under the dough until the dough has a smooth and soft consistency.
4. For each waffle, put around 3 tablespoons of the batter onto the center of the baking plate.

Temperature setting : 5

Preheat time : approx. 2.5 minutes

Baking time : approx. 1.5 - 2 minutes

CLEANING AND CARE

• Warning! Unplug the product and let it cool down completely before cleaning. Never immerse electrical parts of the product in water during cleaning or operation. Never hold the product under running water.
• Warning! When cleaning, never use solvents or abrasive materials, hard brushes, metallic or sharp objects. Solvents are harmful to human health and can attack plastic parts, while abrasive cleaning products and tools may scratch the surface(s).

• Clean the product's exterior surfaces with a slightly damp cloth and then dry them thoroughly.
  Make sure that no water enters the product interior (for example, through the switch).
• Wipe the hotplates with paper towels or a soft damp cloth. If there are difficult to remove food residues, pour a little bit of edible oil on the hotplates and remove the residues after 5 minutes of exposure time.
• Keep the product in a dry, cool location which is protected against moisture and direct sunlight. Keep this product out of the reach of children under the age of 8.
