Fix the object to be processed to a stable base. Adequate fi xing of the object to be processed is crucial to avoid the danger of any contact with the body, seizure of the saw or a loss of control over the cutting process. Keep the sawing machine by insulated surfaces provided for this purpose during tasks, when the saw touch live con- ducts or its own power supply cable. Any contact with „live conducts” may also cause the metal parts of the tool to be live, which might cause electric shock to the operator. When the saw jams or when cutting is interrupted for any reason, release the button and keep the sawing machine still in the material until the disc has completely stopped. Do not ever try to remove the sawing machine from the material which is being cut, or pull the sawing machine backwards while the saw disc is moving or may cause backward recoil. Inspect the causes and take corrective actions, in order to eliminate the reasons why the saw jams. If the cutting with sawing machine is resumed in the same element, then centre the disc saw in the saw cut and make sure the teeth of the saw are not caught in the material. If the disc saw jams when the sawing machine is set in motion again, then it may come out or cause backward recoil in relation to the element being processed. Supports should be placed under the board at both sides, close to the cutting line, next to the edges of the board. Do not use blunt of damaged saws. Blunt or inadequately positioned teeth of the saw form a narrow saw cut which leads to excessive friction, jamming of the saw and backward recoil. Before cutting may commence, it is required to close fi rmly the cutting depth and the saw inclination angle clamps. If the settings of the sawing machine change during cutting, then there is a risk of jamming and backward recoil. Be particularly careful during deep cutting into existent walls or other spaces. Additional safety instructions for sawing machines with a splitting wedge Use an appropriate splitting edge for the given saw. The splitting edge must be thicker than the body of the saw, but thinner than the distance between the teeth of the saw. Adjust the splitting edge in accordance with the description in this manual. Incorrect setting, a wrong position or misalign- ment may make the splitting edge useless in the context of prevention of backward recoil. Always use a splitting, except for deep cutting. The splitting edge must be installed again after deep cutting. The splitting edge causes disturbance during deep cutting and may cause backward recoil. In order to function correctly, the splitting edge must be introduced into the element being processed. The splitting edge is useless in prevention of backward recoil during short cuts. Do not operate the sawing machine, if the splitting edge is bent. Even slight bends may slower the closing of the guard.

ASSEMBLY OF EQUIPMENT

ATTENTION! The installation of the equipment may be done only with disconnected power supply. Remove the battery pack from the power tool socket! The saw machine is supplied complete, After opening the factory packaging you should check whether all items were packed. Then check the connections status and, if necessary, tighten the screw connecting the base with fi xed guard and tighten the screws, which are fastening the splitting wedge, if the saw machine is equipped with it. Before the fi rst use, you should mount the circular saw blade.

PREPARING FOR OPERATION

Before starting any work you should check whether the housing and the battery are not damaged. In the case of damage any further work is prohibited. Attention! All activities associated with the installation and replacement of circular saw blades, their adjustment and the maintenance of a power tool must be carried out when the operating voltage of the saw machine is switched off , therefore, before the further proceedings, you should carry out the following steps: Remove the battery pack from the power tool socket! ATTENTION! All the operations mentioned in this point must be realised with the power supply off . - the battery must be disconnected from the tool! Safety recommendations for battery loading Attention! Before loading may start make sure the body of the charger, the cable and the plug are not broken or damaged. It is prohibited to use a damaged loading dock and charger! For the purpose of loading batteries only the charging dock and the charger provided may be used. Using another charger may be a cause of fi re or damage the tool. Batteries may be charged only in a dry room, protected from unauthorised persons, particularly children. Do not use the charging dock and the charger without permanent supervision of an adult! If it is necessary to leave the room where loading is taking place, it is required to disconnect the charger from the mains, removing the charger from the mains socket. In case when smoke comes out of the charger, or a strange smell is emitted, etc., it is required to immediately remove the plug of the charger from the mains socket! The drill and automatic return screwdriver is provided with an unloaded battery, so before work may commence, it is required to charge it following the procedure below, using the charger and charging dock provided. Li-ION batteries do not show the so called “memory eff ect”, so it is allowed to charge them at any moment. However, it is recommended to discharge them during normal work, and then load them to their full capacity. Storage of the battery In order to prolong the life of the battery, it is required to provide adequate storage conditions. The batteries can go through ap- proximately 500 „loading - discharging” cycles. The battery must be stored between 0 and 30°C, at the relative humidity of 50%. In order to store the battery for a prolonged period, it is required to charge it to approximately 70% of its capacity. In case of prolonged storage, it is required to recharge the battery once a year. Do not permit excessive discharging of the battery, since this would reduce its life and may cause irreversible damage. In case the battery is completely worn out, it is required to deposit it at a special point dedicated to disposal of such waste. In saw machines, which are equipped with a splitting wedge, you should make sure that the splitting wedge is adjusted in such a way, that: - distance between the splitting wedge and a fl ange of the blade with the teeth is not greater than 5 mm, - crown of the blade with the teeth does not protrude for more than 5 mm further of the bottom edge of the splitting wedge, - it is located in the line of the rotating disc, - it is not wider than the width of the saw blade. You should always use the splitting wedge! (in saw machine models equipped with a factory made splitting wedge) Do not disassemble the splitting wedge, that protects the circular saw and the tool against its damage. Wear eye protection, hearing protectors and working gloves. Wear a dust mask. Attention! When you are working with manual saws your should always use a hearing protection. Secure the workpiece to the workplace (e.g. by using carpentry clamps, vice, etc.). In the case when you are cutting surface made from hard wood (oak, beech, hornbeam) it is recommended to connect an external device to collect dust the dust which is produced during processing to the hole for a dust extraction.

OPERATING OF THE TOOL

Connecting the saw to the mains may be carried out only after you have completed all of the steps listed in the section “ Preparation for work”. Adopt a stable stand. Pressure on the cutting head should not to be greater than this, which is enough to cut material. Hitting with circular saw to the cut material should be avoided. If the saw locks itself in the workpiece, you should immediately turn off the saw by pressing the lock button and the electric switch and only after that you may withdraw the saw machine. At the time of cutting, you should pay particular attention to the possibility of slippage or recoil of the saw, and therefore, the risk of accident. All irregularities detected at overhaul or during functioning of the tools are a signal to have the tool repaired at a service shop. Once the functioning has been concluded, the casing, ventilation slots, switches, additional handle and protections must be cleansed with a stream of air (at a pressure not exceeding 0.3 MPa), with a brush or a cloth without any chemical substances or cleaning liquids.
