PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS

Grill plate is a product designed for heating, grilling and preparing meals which require heat treating. Thanks to wide range smooth temperature adjustment, you may adjust the product operating parameters to your own needs. Correct, reliable and safe operation of the product depends on proper operation, therefore:

The supplier does not assume any liability for any damages resulting from misuse of the product, failure to follow safety regulations and recommendations specified in this manual. Misuse of the product will also result in loss of guarantee and warranty rights of the user.

EQUIPMENT

The product is delivered complete and does not require assembly. Therefore, before using the product, it is required to remove all packing and protection elements for transportation. Some preparatory actions described in the further part of this manual are also required.

GENERAL USE RECOMMENDATIONS

Product is designed for professional use and should be operated by properly qualified personnel. Product is designed only for heat treating of meals placed directly on a heating plate. It is forbidden to use product for other purposes, for example as a heater of products kept in a vessel. Unattended repair, disassembly or modification of product is forbidden. All product repairs must be carried out by an authorised repair point. Product should be supervised all the time when operating. WARNING! During operation the product heats up to high temperature, do not touch the heating plate and product's walls during operation, it can cause serious burns. This product is not intended for use by children below 8 years of age and persons with reduced physical or mental capabilities and person with no experience or knowledge of the equipment. Unless they are supervised or trained how to use the product in a safe manner so that the risks involved are understood. Children should not play with the product. Unattended children should not perform cleaning and maintenance of the equipment.

Recommendations for the product transportation and installation

NOTE! Product installation and connecting can be done only by qualified personnel. Product can be placed only on hard, flat, level and non-flammable surface. Substrate should withstand the weight of appliance itself together with food placed on it.Provide at least 10 cm space around product's side walls, do not place any materials not resistant to high temperature above the product. This will allow proper product ventilation. Do not place the product near edges e.g. of a table. Do not place any electrical appliances over the product. Water steam is release during operation of product, which may cause a short circuit of the electrical installation resulting in electric shock. It is forbidden to drill any hole in the product, nor any other product modification not described herein. Product to be carried when cooled, by gripping its housing. Do not displace the product by pulling the cable cord. Temperature at the place of installation and use of product must stay within the range +10^ ÷ +38^ and the relative humidity must be less than 90% , without steam condensation.

Recommendations for connecting the product to power supply

Before connecting the product to power supply, make sure that the voltage, frequency, and

capacity of mains supply correspond to values shown on the product rating plate. Plug must fit into the socket. Any modifications of plug are forbidden. Product must be connected directly to a single power outlet. It is forbidden to use extension cords, socket-outlet adapters and double power outlets. Power supply circuit must be fitted with a protective conductor and at least 16 A protection circuit. Avoid any contact of power cord with sharp edges and hot objects and surfaces. When operating the product, the power cord must always be fully unwound and its position may not interfere with the operation of product. Laying of power cable cannot result in tripping hazard. Power outlet should be located in such a place to allow always the possibility of quick disconnecting the plug of power cord supplying the product. When disconnecting the plug of power cord always pull the plug housing, never the cable. If the power cord or plug is damaged, disconnect it immediately from the mains and contact an authorized manufacturer's service center for replacement. Do not use the product with a damaged power cord or plug. Power cord or plug cannot be repaired, in case of damage to these components, replace them with new ones without defects.

Recommendations for using the product

WARNING! Heating plate surface may be hot after the use. Do not touch it as it poses a threat of severe burns. Wait till the heating plate cools down. In case of preparing the meals, during which hot portions of food may be thrown around, use personal protective equipment against burns. Make sure that the floor in the vicinity of product is not slippery. This will prevent the risk of slipping, which may cause severe injuries. When preparing meals, observe them all the time and prevent burning. Foodstuffs remained unattended may be burned, which may cause a fire or severe burns. In the course of meals preparation, place surface may be touched only by means of wooden or plastic tools. Tools should withstand a temperature generated by heating plate. It is forbidden to take off and serve the meals using your hand. If any food waste remains on heating plate during or after preparation of a meal, it should be removed before preparing next meal. Food waste may be burnt, thus generating a smoke, unpleasant odour, and also affect the taste of a meal prepared. They may also cause a fire. To remove it, use tools made of wood or plastics withstanding a temperature generated by a heating plate. Do not use sharp tools made of metal. Such tools may damage a surface of heating plate. If meal preparation requires a fat to be used, spread it on the surface of heating plate using a soft brush. The product is not intended for preparing meals by deep frying.

PRODUCT HANDLING

Product installation, start-up and handling

The product should be unpacked, completely removing all packaging components. It is recommended to keep the packaging, it may be helpful for subsequent product transportation and storage.

Wash the product according to instructions contained in "Product Maintenance" section.

Make sure the switch of the product remains in "OFF" position. The product may be fitted with separate switch marker "POWER" or, if it is missing, the temperature control regulator should be set in "OFF" position.

Plug the product's power cord into a mains socket.

Switch on the product using the switch or by changing the setpoint of temperature control regulator. Product's power up shall be indicated by lighting up the control light indicated as "POWER" or backlighting the switch.

Set operating temperature using the temperature control regulator, control light indicated as "HEAT" will light up and it will goes out as soon as the heating plate reaches temperature set. The product will automatically maintain the temperature set until power supply is switched off. Each time the heater is switched on, the control light indicated as "HEAT" lights up.

Frequency of heater power-up is determined by the temperature set and ambient temperature. The higher temperature set and lower ambient temperature, the more frequent a heater is switched on.

The product may be fitted with slots discharging the food waste generated while preparing the food on a heating plate, e.g. melted fat. If the product is fitted with a container for temporary storage of waste, it is necessary to control the level of filling the container and empty it as frequently as it is necessary to prevent its overfilling. The container should be emptied each time after the product use is fi nished.

If the container can be completely removed from the product this indicates it may be cleaned under the jet of running water.

The container which cannot be dismounted may not be cleaned using jet of running water.

The product may have protection against overheating. If the temperature of heating plate exceeds 350^ , the product will automatically switch off the heater. In such case, the power supply control light will light up, but in spite of a temperature set by using the knob, the heater fails to start. Wait until temperature of a heating plate drops below 100^ . Then press the "RESET: button and the product should restart normal operation." "RESET" button is protected against incidental pressing by a cover which should be dismounted using the screwdriver. After using the button it should be protected again by means of a cover.

Note! If the temperature protection device trips, switching off the product and restarting the product will fail to restart normal operation. For the time of cooling down of heating plate the product may be switched off, but after repeated power-up, first press the "RESET" button so that normal operation may be restarted.

Heating plate heats up to high temperature, its contact with uncovered body may lead to serious injuries. Special care should be taken during preparation of food, do not touch the heating plate, and control the prepared food using proper tools e.g. pincers or scoops made of plastics or wood.

While selecting tools take into account the need to withstand the temperature of heating plate. Do not use metal tools or tools with sharp edges. Such tools may damage a surface of heating plate.

Product maintenance

NOTE! All maintenance operations to be carried out with the power supply off. To this end, remove the plug of the power cord from mains socket.

The products is designed for preparation of food placed directly on a heating plate, therefore take care of proper hygiene so that the food preparation is safe.

A heating plate may be protected by means of preservatives for the time of transport and storage. Before first use, after cleaning the heating plate should be heat up to at least 180^ to let it evaporate any residues of conservatives. The preservative while evaporating may cause smoke generation which is normal phenomenon. Therefore evaporating should be carried out at location with effective ventilation. Do not inhale vapours of conservatives.

After evaporation is completed and smoke stops, disconnect the product from power supply and clean the plate using cleaning agent. Only then the heating plate may be used for food preparation.

Heating plate and other parts of the product should be cleaned by means of a cloth soaked with waster solution of mild detergent for washing dishes. Residues of solution to be removed using a cloth soaked with water. After cleaning of product wipe it dry. The plate should be cleaned after each use, waiting before until it cools down completely. Clean all food residues which remained on the plate, this will prevent any burning while it is reused, and also will prevent any decrease of product efficiency.

Do not use any solvents, corrosive agents, alcohol, gasoline or abrasive agents for cleaning.

Vents should be cleaned using a vacuum cleaner.

Note! Never immerse the product in water or other liquid.

Product storage

If the product is not used for prolonged time, disconnect it from power supply.

Product when stored should be kept indoors, protect it from dust, dirt and moisture. It is recommended to store the product in its original packaging.

Store the product in its working position. Do not store products in layers. Do not put anything on the product. during storage.
