USER MANUAL HT 55 BEURER
The device is intended only for domestic/private use, not for commercial use.
This device may be used by children over the age of eight and by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental skills or a lack of experience or knowledge, provided that they are super
vised or have been instructed on how to use the device safely and are fully aware of the consequent risks of use.
Children must not play with the device.
Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by chil- dren unless supervised.
If the mains connection cable of this device is damaged, it must be disposed of.
When using the device in the bathroom, unplug the mains plug after use as water in the vicinity constitutes a danger, even when the device is switched o.
Never use the device near baths, wash basins, showers or other objects containing water or other liquids – risk of electric shock! Read these instructions for use carefully and keep them for later use, be sure to make them accessible to other users and observe the information they contain.16
As an additional safety measure, we recommend the installa- tion of a residual-current-operated protective device (RCD) with a rated operational current not exceeding 30 mA in the bath

The 360° swivel joint at the mains cable allows flexible handling. The ceramic coating of the heating rods ensures even heat distribution and a smooth surface structure. The curl styler therefore allows you to style your hair gently. The curl styler is only intended for the purpose described in these instructions for use. 1. Included in delivery
Check that the exterior of the delivery cardboard packaging is intact and make sure that all components are present. Before use, ensure that there is no visible damage to the device or accessories and that all packaging material has been removed. The curl styler must only be used by individuals for shaping and styling and is for personal use only! Do not use the curl styler on synthetic hair. Do not use the curl styler on animals. Warning The device is suitable only:

4. Warnings and safety notes
Danger To avoid damage to health, we strongly advise against using the device in the following situations:
Never submerge the device in water or other liquids! Risk of electric shock!
If the device should fall into water despite following all safety precautions, immediately pull the mains plug from the socket! Do not reach into the water! Risk of electric shock!
Have the device checked by an authorised specialist workshop before using it again! Danger to life due to electric shock!
If the device has been dropped or has suered any other damage, it must no longer be used. Risk of electric shock and injury!
If there is visible damage to the device, mains cable/plug [10] or accessories. If you have any doubts, do not use the device and contact your retailer or the specified Customer Services address. Risk of electric shock!18 19
Keep packaging material away from children – risk of suocation!
Do not use extension cables in the bathroom to ensure the mains plug can be accessed quickly in an emergency. Warning To avoid damage to health, please note the following:
Ensure that no highly flammable liquids are located near the device. Risk of fire!
Place the device on non-flammable surfaces only. Risk of fire!
The device must not be covered – risk of fire!
Do not use the device on synthetic hair – risk of fire! Notes
Remove all packaging material before using the device.
Only connect the device to a socket that has the voltage shown on the type plate.
Only pull the mains cable [10] from the socket by the mains plug.
Do not use any additional parts that are not recommended by the manufacturer or oered as equipment.
Under no circumstances should you open or repair the device yourself, as faultless func- tionality can no longer be guaranteed thereafter. Failure to comply will result in voiding of the warranty.
In the event of a fault or damage, have the device repaired by a certified specialist workshop.
Never leave the device unattended during use.
Do not use the device outside.
If you pass on the device to someone else, make sure to also pass on these instructions for use.20
4. Button for increasing the temperature (+) 9. Hanging eyelet
Warning To avoid damage to health, please note the following before use:
Position yourself on a dry, non-conductive surface. Risk of electric shock!
Make sure that your hands are dry! Risk of electric shock!
Your hair must be dry! Risk of electric shock!
The heating rods [2] of the curl styler can get very hot. When the curl styler is hot, it must only be held using the handle [7] or the cool touch tip – risk of burns and fire!
Do not touch the heating rods [2]. Risk of burns!
Do not clamp objects between the heating rods [2].
If the device is faulty or operational faults occur, switch o the device immediately and re- move the mains plug from the socket.20 21 Important
Do not pull, twist or bend the mains cable [10] and do not pull or route it over/on sharp, point- ed objects or hot surfaces.
Do not trap the mains cable [10] in drawers, doors or between the heating rods [2], etc. Dam- aged or tangled mains cables [10] increase the risk of electric shock!
6.1 Starting the application
1. Dry your hair thoroughly before using the curl styler.
Make sure that your hair is clean and free from styling products. This does not apply to products which protect the hair against heat.
3. Comb your hair to get rid of any tangles.
Insert the mains plug into a suitable socket. “OFF” appears on the LCD temperature display [3]. Press the ON/OFF button [6] to switch on the curl sty- ler. The current set temperature appears on the LCD temperature display [3]. The heat-up phase is indicated by the temperature display flashing. When the temperature display is continuously lit, the curl styler has reached the set temperature setting and can be used.22
Set your desired temperature setting using the (+) button [4] or the (-) button [5]. The current temper- ature setting is shown on the LCD temperature display [3]. The temperature can be permanently set by pressing the ON/OFF button [6] twice. The locked symbol appears on the display. We recommend the following temperature settings: Note: The curl styler has an automatic button lock which switches on automatically after 30 sec
onds. You can only switch o the device if the keylock is deactivated. To deactivate the keylock, press the ON/OFF button [6] twice again. The locked symbol goes out. Temperature setting

rods [2]. Make sure that you leave enough space between your hand and the heating rods [2].22 23
8. Move the curl styler along the hair, stopping just
before you reach the roots. Hold the curl styler in this position. Make sure that you do not touch your scalp or hands with the heating rods [2].
Rotate the curl styler 360° and slowly pull it down along the entire section of hair. Make sure you keep the curl styler at the same angle to prevent the hair overlapping. Note: After 30 minutes the device switches into stand-by mode (100°C). After 45 minutes the device switches o automatically. The LCD tem
perature display [3] flashes to indicate this.
6.2 After application
To switch o the curl styler after use, hold down the ON/OFF button [6] for three seconds. Make sure to deactivate the keylock beforehand. “OFF” appears on the LCD temperature display [3]. The curl styler is now switched o.

The curl styler makes it easy for you to try out dierent curl styles.

7.3 Voluminous curls
Place a section of hair between the heating rods and move the styler along the hair, stopping just short of the roots. Rotate the curl styler 360° and pull it up along the entire section of hair. Tease the curl open with your fingers, moving from the inside to the outside. This creates a voluminous curl.
Place a medium amount of hair between the heating rods. Hold the curl styler at an angle, close to the roots. Rotate the angled curl styler 360° and quickly pull it down along the entire section of hair. This creates a wavy curl.
- Disconnect the device before cleaning it.
- Only clean the appliance in the manner specified. Fluid must never be allowed to enter into the device or accessories.
- Clean the instrument with a slightly moistened cloth. You can also moisten the cloth with mild soap suds to remove more stubborn dirt.26
- Smaller stains can be removed using a cloth or moist sponge together with a little liquid detergent for delicate fabrics if necessary. Do not use any cleaning agents containing solvents.
- Do not use the device again until it is completely dry. Storage If you do not use the device for longer periods, we recommend storing it in the original packaging in a dry place without weighting it down.

11. Warranty/service
Beurer GmbH, Söflinger Straße 218, 89077 Ulm, Germany (hereinafter referred to as “Beurer”) provides a warranty for this product, subject to the requirements below and to the extent described as follows. The warranty conditions below shall not aect the seller’s statutory warranty obligations which ensue from the sales agreement with the buyer. The warranty shall apply without prejudice to any mandatory statutory provisions on liability. Beurer guarantees the perfect functionality and completeness of this product.26 27 Subject to errors and changes The worldwide warranty period is 3 years, commencing from the purchase of the new, unused product from the seller. The warranty only applies to products purchased by the buyer as a consumer and used exclu
sively for personal purposes in the context of domestic use. German law shall apply. During the warranty period, should this product prove to be incomplete or defective in function
ality in accordance with the following provisions, Beurer shall carry out a repair or a replacement delivery free of charge, in accordance with these warranty conditions. If the buyer wishes to make a warranty claim, they should approach their local retailer in the first instance: see the attached “International Service” list of service addresses. The buyer will then receive further information about the processing of the warranty claim, e.g. where they can send the product and what documentation is required. A warranty claim shall only be considered if the buyer can provide Beurer, or an authorised Beurer partner, with - a copy of the invoice/purchase receipt, and - the original product. The following are explicitly excluded from this warranty: - deterioration due to normal use or consumption of the product; - accessories supplied with this product which are worn out or used up through proper use (e.g. batteries, rechargeable batteries, cus, seals, electrodes, light sources, attachments and nebuliser accessories); - products that are used, cleaned, stored or maintained improperly and/or contrary to the provi- sions of the instructions for use, as well as products that have been opened, repaired or modi- fied by the buyer or by a service centre not authorised by Beurer; - damage that arises during transport between manufacturer and customer, or between service centre and customer; - products purchased as seconds or as used goods; - consequential damage arising from a fault in this product (however, in this case, claims may exist arising from product liability or other compulsory statutory liability provisions).
