INSTALLATION Note: The dishwasher is equipped with power cord and plug. Make sure before installation that the wall outlet is at the desired place of installation. Consider the dimension of the product for placing and installation.

Place the dishwasher on an even, horizontal and steady surface, e.g. place it on a suitable desk in your kitchen. Note: The dishwasher is not intended to be built in.

The dishwasher must be connected to drainage.

1. The hose is already connected the waste water outlet. Cut the straps and unwind the hose.

Note: A suitable hose holder is available as optional accessories.

Connect the water inlet to tap water supply (3/4”) using the provided hose and make sure it fastened tightly. Note: If the water pipes are new or have not been used for an extended period of time, let the water run to make sure that the water is clear and free of impurities. If this precaution is not taken, there is a risk that the water inlet can get blocked and damage the appliance.

Connect the power plug to the mains. PREPARATION

Putting salt into the salt container Depending on your tap water hardness (hardness degree) use additional salt (water softener). Always consider instruction provided with the salt.

1. Remove the basket and then unscrew and remove the cap from the salt container.

2. Before rst wash, add 1 lt. of water in the salt container of your machine.

3. Place the end of the funnel (supplied) into the hole and introduce about 1 kg of salt. It is normal

for a small amount of water to come out of the salt container.

4. After lling the container, screw the cap tightly back clockwise.

5. Immediately after lling the salt into the salt container, a washing program should be started

(rapid program suggested). Otherwise lter system, pump or other important parts of the machine may be damaged by salty water which is out of warranty. Note: Usually, the salt warning light “Spezialsalz ergänzen” will be cease to be illuminated within 2-6 days after the salt container has been lled with salt. Depending on how fully the salt dissolves, the salt warning light may still be on even though the salt container is lled. Warning!

  • Only use salt specically designed for use in dishwashers! All other types of salt not specically designed for use in a dishwasher, especially table salt, will damage the water softener. In case of damages caused by the use of unsuitable salt the manufacturer does not give any warranty nor is liable for any caused damages.
  • If there are spills of the salt, a soak or a rapid program should be run to remove the excess salt.
  • Only ll with salt just before starting one of the complete washing programs. This will prevent any grains of salt or salty water, which may have been split, remaining of the bottom of the machine for any period of time, which may cause corrosion.
  • The salt container must only be relled when the salt warning light in the control panel comes on. IM_ODW121_150402_V04_HR.indb 28 2/4/15 4:23 PM29
