USER MANUAL 6589 Cloer
Basic safety instructions This electrical appliance is exclusively determined for private use and using in: - staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments - in farm houses - by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments - on bed and breakfast type environments. Have repairs of Cloer electronic appliances carried out only by autho- rized Cloer specialist dealers or by the Cloer customer service. Impro- per repairs can involve substantial dangers for the user. Furthermore, this will void your warranty claims. Only operate the appliance at household-usual power sockets. Check if the mains voltage stated on the type plate is up to that of your po- wer supply network. If the connector is damaged, it must be replaced by an authorized Cloer specialist dealer or the Cloer customer service to avoid endan- gering. Pull power plug of the power socket - in case of a defect. - if the appliance is not used for a longer time. - before any cleaning. Only pull at the plug, never at the feed cable. Do not tighten the feed cable too tight as otherwise the appliance is likely to tip over. Do not stretch the feed cable over sharp edges. Do not use the feed cable for carrying and protect it from heat (hot- plate / open flame). This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years. Children shall not play with the appliance. This appliance is not intended for use by persons with reduced phy- sical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and know- ledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction con- cerning use of the appliance by a person responsible of their safety. Do not use the appliance in outdoor. Protect your appliance from humidity (splash water / rain). Let the appliance cool off before cleaning or stowing away. This appliance should not be operated due to an external timer or separate remote control system. Do not immerse appliance in water and do not clean under running water!

Your new Cloer Barbecue Grill will make your barbecue evening a carefree event. – Enjoy trying – Enjoy your meal! Your company Cloer Before using the first time Remove all packaging parts and, if applicable, stickers, not the identification plate. Before using the first time, clean the grilling surface by means of a soft cloth. Safety instructions for operation The appliance meets the requirements of the applicable EC directives. The appliance is intended for in door use only. ATTENTION! Grilling surface gets extremely hot in operation. There is the danger of burns and fire! Only touch the grill or the grill plate at the heat-isolated handles. Use Barbecue Grill exclusively with the delivered connector plugs: Type 655 for Barbecue Grill 655 Type 656 for Barbecue Grill 656 Type 6589 for Barbecue Grill 6589 Never cover the grilling surface with aluminium foil. Do not put saucepans, pans or aluminium bowls on it, as the heat development can cause deterioration of the non-stick coating. Never put baking paper and inflammable materials on the grilling surface. The immense heat can cause fire. Never let the Barbecue Grill unattended while in operation. ATTENTION! Even at the lowest setting of the thermostat (level 1 or lower) the appliance is already in operation. Unplug the power plug to switch off the appliance completely. During the very first heating up the appliance can cause slight smoke. After some minutes, however, smoking will stop again. ATTENTION! Do not use charcoal or similar combustibles as well as so-called grill lighters for the Barbecue Grill! Operating instructions Your grill has an integrated heating integrated in the die-cast plate of the grilling surface. It provides for a constant and good heat distribution and healthy preparation of your grilling goods. Due to the inside heating there is no offensive smell and smoke because of dripping down and burning fat. Your Barbecue Grill is provided with a non-stick coating, avoiding sticking of grilling goods and facilitating cleaning. The infinitely variable thermostat at the connector plug serves for adapting the grilling temperature to the respective grilling goods or for keeping meals warm. Fat and juices developing during cooking are collected in the removable fat collecting pan. Start-up Put the Barbecue Grill on a dry, non-slip and even surface.
1. Barbecue Grill with spray guard
(Type 655 / 656) Put spray guard on the appliance Push the fat collecting pan in the support bar below the appliance. First of all, put connector plug in the lateral socket of the appliance (as far as it will go!) and then the power plug in the wall socket. Now the appliance is already in operation. Choose any heat level between 1 – 5 and so adapt the temperatures to the grilling goods. At lowest setting (level 1 and below) you can keep the grilled meals warm. Wait some minutes until the grilling surface is hot. Now you can put on the grilling goods. The even surface is appropriate for grilling vegetables and the waved surface for grilling meat.

Do not use the grilling goods by means of tongs or forks of metal as this will damage the non-stick coating. Please exclusively use grill cutlery of wood or heat-resistant plastics! Do not use aluminium grill pan at the grilling surface as this will cause a dangerous development of heat. Cleaning To clean the appliance, you should exclusively use soft, humid clothes. Do not clean the appliance and all of its parts by hard pot sponges. ATTENTION! Before cleaning please always unplug power plug. Always let appliance completely cool down before cleaning. The removable connector plug must not get in contact with water. Just clean the plug by means of a humid cloth. Different grilling times Meat: approx. 6 - 10 min (depending on thickness) Fish: approx. 4 - 6 min (must be defrosted) Sausages coarse: approx. 20 - 25 min Sausages without skin: 10 - 15 min Poultry: approx. 20 min Grilling times depend on kind of condition of grilling goods as well as your personal taste. Therefore, exact information about the duration of the grilling process are impossible. In general, however, the following applies: Sausages require a longer grilling than meat. Please note: Experiences with grilling on gas or coal grills cannot absolutely be applied to grilling with electrical grill appliances as well!

Please recycle cardboard/paper and plastic packaging appropriately. CAUTION! Electrical appliances should not be disposed of with the household trash. Electrical appliances contain valuable raw materials. When an appliance is worn-out, please take it to a recognised recycling facility. Please consult the local authorities for information on recycling appliances. Customer service In the event that your Cloer appliance becomes defective, please contact your Cloer dealer or Cloer customer service department. Cloer electrical appliances comply with current EC guidelines and safety regulations. Conditions of warranty Cloer grants you, the private end user, a limited manufacturer’s warranty. Assuming careful handling and compliance with the operating instructions and safety notices, weEN
will be obligated to replace the appliance at no cost, insofar as there are defects in material or workmanship. The repair will be eected by repairing or replacing defective components. Any parts replaced will become the property of Cloer. All further claims of any type, especially claims for indemnication, are not valid. This warranty does not aect any rights of the customer with respect to the sale of goods in accordance with the applicable national laws. The warranty period is 2 years starting from the date on which the product was rst purchased by an end consumer. The warranty period will not be extended or begin anew or in any other way be aected by the subsequent sale, repair or replacement of the product. This warranty is passed on to you by your retail dealer. In order to assert a warranty claim, please contact your dealer directly. If you have questions about your product, please contact the Cloer importer in your country. The address and telephone number can be found on our website at http://www.cloer.de or you can send an e-mail to service-uk@cloer.de As proof of warranty entitlement you must submit the original sales receipt with the date of sale and the dealer’s address. With-out the sales receipt, the repair will be carried out at your expense without asking. The warranty does not cover damages resulting from improper use, natural wear and tear, external inuences (e.g. damage from transport, shocks, jolts, heat, acids, etc.), insucient decalcifying * or unsuitable accessories. The warranty will be void if the appliance is used commercially, is opened or modied without authorisation or if unauthorised repairs are attempted. Also, the warranty does not apply to consum- able materials.
