USER MANUAL S8670 REMINGTON
Thank you for buying your new Remington® product. Please read these instructions carefully and keep
them safe. Remove all packaging before use.
WARNING: This appliance is hot. Keep out of reach of children at all times.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and
persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge if they have been supervised/instructed and
understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be done by children unless they are
older than 8 and supervised. Keep the appliance and cable out of reach of
children under 8 years.
B Do not use this appliance near bathtubs, showers, basins or other vessels
• When the appliance is used in a bathroom, unplug it after use since the
proximity of water presents a hazard even when the appliance is switched off.
• For additional protection, the installation of a residual current device (RCD)
having a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA is advisable
in the electrical circuit supplying the bathroom*.
* Currently, the tting in a bathroom of an electrical socket suitable or capable of
operating the appliance is not permitted in the UK (see BS7671).
• Burn hazard. Keep the appliance out of reach from young children, particularly
during use and while cooling down.
• Never leave the appliance unattended when it is connected to the power

13. Interchangeable straightening and crimping
• Fast heat up—ready to use in 60 seconds.
• Automatic safety shut o – this unit will switch itself o if no button is pressed or it is left on after 60

• Make sure the appliance is switched o and unplugged, and that any attachments are completely
cool before removing or tting them.
To Secure Attachments to the Handle
1. Turn the locking ring from the locked position (L) to the unlocked position (U) (g. A).
2. Pull the attachment out of the handle (g. B).
3. Align the pins on the attachment with the corresponding holes in the handle then push the
attachment into the handle and hold it there (g. C).
4. While keeping pressure on the attachment, turn the locking ring to the locked position (L) (g. D).
To Change the Straightening/Crimping Plates
1. Ensure the unit is switched o and cool.
2. Slide the plates out holding the plastic edges.
3. Turn the plates over and slot back into place.
To Attach the Brush and Spiral Sleeve
1. Slide sleeve over the 19mm tong barrel, over the long tong clip and secure under the shorter tong

• Before use, ensure the hair is clean, dry and tangle-free.
• For extra protection use a heat protection spray.
• Hairsprays contain ammable material – do not use while using this product.
• Select your attachment before you turn on the appliance.
• Section the hair prior to styling. Style the lower layers rst.
1. Plug in the styler and press and hold the on button to switch on.
2. Start styling on lower temperatures rst. Select the appropriate temperature for your hair type using
the controls on the top of the styler.
3. To increase the temperature press the button marked ‘+’ to decrease the temperature press the

• The LED temperature indicator lights will stop ashing once the desired temperature is reached.
• After use, press and hold the o button to turn o then unplug the appliance.
For tight bouncy curls use the 19mm tong
• Place a section of hair under the long tong clip (smaller sections create tighter curls – larger sections
create large curls or waves).
• Turn the styler to roll the hair round the barrel.
• Wait about 10 seconds for curl to form.
• Unwind the tong and release the curl.
For spiral curls or to aid with curling use the spiral sleeve.
• Secure hair under the short tong clip and wind the hair up the barrel using the spiral sleeve as a guide.
• For looser curls or curved and nished ends use the brush sleeve.
• Curl hair around the brush, hold in place for 20 seconds then gentle unwind.
For straight hair use the straightening plates.
• Working on one section at a time, run the straightener through the entire length of the hair without

To crimp hair use the crimper plates.
• Take a section of hair. Starting at the roots place the crimping plates either side of the section of hair

ENGLISH CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
• Unplug the appliance and allow to cool.
• Let the attachments cool before removing.
• To remove the attachment turn the locking ring clockwise to the unlocked position and pull the
attachment away from the handle.
• Wipe all the surfaces with a damp cloth.
• Don’t use harsh or abrasive cleaning agents or solvents.
