WARNING:

  • If the device is used in the bathroom please remove the plug from the socket after use as the proximity of water represents a hazard. This also applies if the device is switched off.
  • The removable plates, brush attachment and curling tongs become hot during use!
  • Please allow the device to cool down before changing the attachment! Danger of burning!
Always remove the plug from the socket after use.

  • As additional protection we recommend the installation of a fault current protection device (RCD) with a rated current of not more than 30mA in the wiring system of the bathroom. Please contact an authorised electrician for advice.

Before Initial Use

When the multicurler is switched on for the first time there may be a slight smell. For this reason you should operate the device for approximately 10 minutes with the curling tongs. Place the device on the base below the handle, ensuring sufficient ventilation!

Initial and General Use

  1. Fully unwind the mains cable.
  2. Select an attachment and push it over the heating rod.

  3. Please ensure that the attachment is fixed firmly in the handle. Turn the attachment tight with the turn-lock fastener above the handle.

  4. Insert the plug into a duly installed 230V/50Hz protective contact socket. Push the on/off switch upwards; the green control lamp in the handle lights up. After approximately 5-10 minutes the device is ready to use.

Curling Tongs/Brush Attachment:

  • Curl your towel-dry hair evenly on the round brush or shape your hair with the curling tongs into the desired style.
  • Press the button above the handle to open the curling tongs. Insert the strands of hair between the two halves of the curling tongs and curl them up until just before the hairline.
  • In order to use the brush attachment, push it over the closed curling tongs. Please ensure that the brush attachment is locked in place and firmly attached.

Curling Tongs: Revives the shape of curls

Brush Attachment: Dries hair in curls

  • Carefully unwind the rolled-up strands of hair again.

  • Please place the device on the base below the handle during breaks, when it is not being used for a short time or if you wish to allow it to cool down.

  • If you would like to change the attachment, allow it to cool down, release the turn-lock fastener and pull the attachment off towards the front.

Hair Smoother/Hair Crimper:

  • If you would like to turn the plates, open the device and pull the plates out:

Fine-toothed accessories: to make small waves in hair

Flat accessories: for smooth hair

  • Insert the required plates into the guide mechanism until they lock in place. Always use two similar plates.
  • Use the hair smoother/hair crimper only for dry hair. Take a strand of hair and pull it carefully downwards until it is taut. The remaining hair should be put up or fixed in place. Before the halves are pressed together for approx. 5 seconds, we recommend that you ensure that the hair is positioned correctly. Always begin at the base of the hair and move the device in the direction of the hair tip. In order to produce a uniform appearance it is important that the next strands fall in one line. In order that the waves remain in your hair for a longer time, we recommend that you use either a coarse comb or only your fingers.

  • Allow the device to cool down before turning the plates! Push the plates into the guide mechanism only two at a time (2 x fine waves or 2 x smooth) as otherwise the hair may be damaged!

  • Switching off

Switch the device off after use by pushing the on/off switch downwards and removing the mains plug. The green control lamp goes off. Leave it cool for a few minutes before putting it away.

Styling Tips

In order to obtain a strong „frizzle effect“ with the hair crimper you should apply gel or hairspray before use (it is possible that the hair will „steam“ somewhat, but this is normal). For a loose „permanent wave look“ please use thick strands, crimp them with the device for one second and then shake your hair over your head to the front and then to the back again. We do not recommend using the device if your hair is damaged or bleached.

Cleaning and care

  • Remove the plug from the socket before cleaning the device.
  • Clean the housing with a soft, dry cloth without additives.
  • The round brush can be cleaned with a suitable object (comb or brush). If necessary you can use a commercial dish washing detergent.
  • The curling tongs can be cleaned with a slightly damp cloth.
  • Dry the attachments and the device thoroughly after you have cleaned them.
The device must never be immersed in water!
