How to set the time on the AEG MRC 4105 P clock radio?

To set the time, press and hold the TIME button while pressing HOUR for hours or MIN for minutes. The time is displayed in 24-hour format.

How to program the alarm?

Press and hold the ALARM button while pressing HOUR (hours) or MIN (minutes). The alarm is also set in 24-hour format.

How to wake up with the radio?

First select a radio station using the band selector (FM/AM) and the TUN button (10). Set the desired volume. Place the function switch (7) to AUTO. The ♂ icon appears. At the set time, the radio turns on automatically. Press ALARM to stop it.

How to wake up with the buzzer instead of the radio?

Turn the volume control (12) fully left to the BUZZER position (a click is felt). The alarm will then sound a buzzer. Press ALARM or set the switch to OFF to stop it.

How to use the SNOOZE function?

When the alarm sounds, press the SNOOZE button (6). The alarm stops for about 8 minutes, then sounds again. The II icon flashes on the display. You can repeat this action several times.

How to use the sleep timer (SLEEP) function?

Press the SLEEP button (5) to turn on the radio. It will turn off automatically after 59 minutes (1 press) or 1h59 (2 presses). To adjust the duration, hold SLEEP and press HOUR or MIN. Cancel the function by pressing SNOOZE.

How to project the time on the wall or ceiling?

Set the PROJECTION button (17) to ON. Tilt the projector (16) forward or backward. Use the FOCUS ring (15) to adjust sharpness. The 180° ROTATION wheel (19) allows you to orient the projected display up to 180 degrees.

What to do in case of a power cut? Are settings saved?

In case of a power cut, settings (time, alarm) are only saved if backup batteries are installed. Open the battery compartment on the back, insert a 9 V block battery respecting polarity. Without battery, settings will be lost.

How to clean the clock radio?

Always unplug the device before cleaning. Use a soft slightly damp cloth (no detergent). Never immerse the device in water and avoid water entering the inside.

Radio reception is poor, what to do?

For FM band, fully extend the flexible antenna and orient it to improve reception. For AM band, a ferrite antenna is built-in; rotate the entire device to find the best orientation.

Putting into function

Insert the plug into a properly installed 230V 50 Hz power socket.

Radio station tuning

1. Turn the band selector switch (18) to the FM or AM position, depending on which frequency band you wish to hear.
   UKW = FM, Medium Wave = AM.
2. Push the function switch (7) to the ON position and select a station by turning the TUN control (10). The station scale (9) indicates the selected frequency.
3. If reception is too weak and the station being received hisses, try to improve reception by turning, unwinding or winding up the throw-out antenna.
4. An aerial is integrated into the device for the reception of AM stations. The device can be turned to line it up with the transmitter.

Volume

The desired volume can be sent using the VOL(UME) regulator (12).

Setting of the Clock (24 h)

Hours: Press the TIME key (3) and the HOUR key (2) simultaneously.

Minutes: Press the TIME key (3) and the MIN key (1) simultaneously.

Setting of the Alarm (24 h)

Hours: Press the ALARM key (4) and the HOUR key (2) simultaneously.

Minutes: Press the ALARM key (4) and the MIN key (1) simultaneously.

Radio alarm

• Once the alarm times are set and a radio station has been selected, shift the function selector (7) to „AUTO“. The „8(8) symbol lights up in the display (11).
• As soon as the alarm time is reached, the radio is switched on. The selected radio station plays at the set volume.

To turn the radio off simply press the ALARM button.

Buzzer alarm

• If you would not like to be woken up by the radio, turn the volume control (12) to the „ position (buzzer) until it locks in place.
  Instead of the radio, the buzzer goes off when the alarm time is reached.

To turn off the alarm, push the function switch (7) to the OFF position or press the ALARM button (4).

Automatic Alarm Interval

The automatically set alarm function can be shut off for approximately 8 minutes with the SNOOZE key (6). The ^# flashes in the display.

Switch-off

The device is switched off if the function switch (7) is in the "OFF" position.

Delayed Shut-Off

The delayed switch-off function can be used when the switch is in the positions AUTO or OFF.

• When the SLEEP button (5) is pressed the radio is switched off after 59 minutes or 1 hour and 59 minutes. The switch-off time can be adjusted by pressing the SLEEP and the HOUR button (2) or the MIN button (1) at the same time.
• This function can be cancelled with the SNOOZE key (6).

Projection

With this device you can project the time on the wall or on the ceiling. Shift the PROJECTION switch (17) to the ON position. You can swing the projector (16) either to the front or backwards. On the back of the projector there is a dial (15) with which you can adjust the sharpness of the projected display.

I NOTE:

With the adjustment wheel (19) you can turn the projected image through up to 180 degrees.

Inserting the batteries

(not supplied)

If there is a power cut or the mains plug has been removed from the power socket, the settings will be retained if the power reserve batteries are inserted.

1. Open the battery compartment on the back.
2. Connect a 9 V, E compound battery to the supply connection. Please ensure the correct polarity.
3. Close the battery compartment again.
4. If the device is not used for a prolonged period of time, please take the batteries out in order to prevent leakage of battery acid.

CAUTION:

Batteries are not to be disposed of together with domestic wastes. Dispose of the used batteries at the relevant collection bin or at your dealer's.

WARNING:

Do not expose the batteries to high temperatures or direct sunlight. Never throw batteries into the fire. There is a danger of explosion!

Cleaning

• Remove the plug before cleaning.
• Clean the appliance with a slightly humid cloth without any additives.
• Do not dip the appliance in water.
