INSTRUCTIONS FOR SAFE USE This appliance should only be used for domestic cleaning, as described in this user guide. Please ensure that this guide is fully understood before operating the appliance. Carpet & Floor nozzle** : Hard Floor Cleaning: Press the pedal on the nozzle to switch to Hard Floor mode and adjust the suction control slider on the nozzle to MAX (maximum). In this position brushes are lowered to protect hard floors. [4a] Standard Carpet: Press the pedal on the nozzle to switch to Carpet mode and adjust the suction control slider on the nozzle to MAX (maximum). In this position brushes are raised. [4b] Long Pile Carpet: Press the pedal on the nozzle to switch to Carpet mode and adjust the suction control slider on the nozzle to MIN (minimum). It can also be used to reduce the operating push force. [4c] 4.
POWER LEVEL REGULATION: Power level can be also regulated manually from the Hi-Controller Handle with Settings* or from the cleaner control panel. From the Hi-Controller Handle with Settings** [S] : AUTO MODE is illuminated on the display. Press AUTO MODE on/off button [Sb] on the handle and +/- buttons [Sa] to adjust the power according to your need. On the display MANUAL MODE will be illuminated. MANUAL MODE is illuminated on the display. Press AUTO MODE on/off button on the handle to return to AUTO MODE function. [Sb]
Remove all components from the packaging.
Connect the hose to the cleaner main body, ensuring it clips and locks into position. To release the hose: simply press the two latches on the hose end and pull. [1] Connect the hose handle to the upper tube end. [2] Connect the tube lower end to the carpet and floor nozzle**. [3**]
From the cleaner control panel : Press MANUAL MODE Activation button on the control panel [D2], on display Manual Mode will be illuminated. Then you can press the manual button to choose the desired power setting. Press AUTO MODE Activation button to return to AUTO MODE function. 5. Switch the cleaner off at the end of use by pressing the On/Off Pedal or On/Off Button on the Hi-Controller Handle with Settings**. Unplug and rewind the power cord by pressing the cord rewind pedal. 6. The tube can be parked for temporary storage while in use, or in the storage position when not in use. [10]
USING YOUR CLEANER 1. 2.
Extract power cord and plug it into the power supply. Do not pull the cord beyond the red marker. [6] After connecting the telescopic tube lower end to Carpet and Floor Nozzle**, press the floor type selector pedal on the nozzle to select the ideal cleaning mode for the floor type. [4] Hard Floor: Brushes are lowered to protect the floor. Carpet: Brushes are raised for deeper cleaning.

Switch the cleaner on by pressing the On/Off Pedal on the cleaner main body [8] or by pressing the On/Off button [Sc] onto the Hi-Controller Handle with Settings*. [9]
AUTO MODE FUNCTION: This vacuum cleaner features smart sensors able to detect the amount of dust and debris on your floors and automatically adjust the power level. When the cleaner detects a big quantity of dust will increase the power. And when the cleaner recognizes the floor is clean, the power will automatically decrease. The cleaner starts in AUTO MODE, on display Auto Mode will be illuminated.
ASSEMBLING YOUR CLEANER 1.
Adjust the telescopic tube to the desired height by moving the telescopic tube adjuster up and raise or lower the handle to the most comfortable cleaning position. [5**]
GB CLEANER MAINTENANCE -
Both full bag check and filter cleaning indicators are signaled by a red light on the display. Replacing the Dust Bag Please check the bag, if necessary, replace it. 1. Press the bag door release latch and open the bag door. [11] 2. Lift the handle of the bag holder up. [12] 3. Hold the bag with the holder over a dust bin. Press the red button to automatically release the bag without any contact with dust. [13] 4. Fold a new bag and insert the collar into the bag holder. [14,15] 5. Refit the bag with holder back into the appliance. [16] 6. Close the bag door. WARNING: The bag door will NOT close if the dust bag and/or the bag holder are not assembled to the cleaner. Always ensure the bag is present when closing the bag door.
Replacing the battery of the handle remote control* [22] If the remote controls on the handle do not respond when pressing any buttons, please change the battery: 1. Use screw driver to release remote control from handle. 2. Remove the exhaust battery by pushing aside the clip and replace with a new one. Use only battery type Lithium CR2032 3V.
REMEMBER: The bag check indicator also turns red onto the display [D] if an obstruction has occurred. In this case refer to ‘Remove a Blockage from the System’.
ACCESSORIES Cleaning the Filters
To ensure constant optimum cleaning performances, please wash the filters when the filter indicator red light is on and then press the MANUAL MODE activation button for 3 seconds to turn off the red indicator light.
To obtain the best performance and efficiency it is recommended that the correct nozzles are used for the main cleaning operations. These nozzles are indicated in the diagrams by the letters GP, HF or CA. A nozzle type GP can be used to clean both carpet and hard floor. A nozzle type HF is suitable for use only on hard floor. A nozzle of type CA is suitable for use only on carpet. The other nozzles are accessories for specialist cleaning tasks and are recommended for occasional use only.
Cleaning the pre-motor filter: 1. Lift the bag door release latch to open bag door and remove the bag. [11,12] 2. Remove the pre-motor filter frame from the cleaner. [19] 3. Remove the filter from the pre-motor filter frame. [20] 4. Wash the pre-motor filter and the pre-motor filter frame using warm water, and allow it to dry thoroughly before inserting into the cleaner. [20,21]
Integrated Accessories on Hi-Controller Handle with Settings** This handle features convenient integrated accessories: Built-in Crevice Tool: The hose handle end can be used as a crevice tool to reach narrow spaces. Furniture Tool: Press the latches on both sides of the handle and slide downwards to release the furniture tool to clean soft surfaces and textiles (curtains, upholstery). [S1] Dusting Brush: Press the latches on both sides of the and slide downwards then push the slider to the end to release the built-in dusting brush. Ideal for hard surfaces (bookshelves, keyboards, skirting boards). [S1] Mini Turbo Dual Action Allergen Remover Nozzle* – Use the mini turbo nozzle on stairs or for deep cleaning on textile surfaces and other hard to clean areas, particularly suitable for allergen removal. [T] Long 2in1 Tool* – Crevice tool and dusting brush - It allows to clean hard-to-reach areas such as bookshelves and high corners. [U] It can be fitted to the end of the hose handle or to the end of the fixed tube. Parquet Extra Care nozzle* – For parquet floors and other delicate floors. [V]
Cleaning the exhaust filter: 1. Unclip the exhaust filter cover and remove the exhaust filter pack. [17,18] 2. Wash the exhaust filter pack under warm water, and allow it to dry thoroughly before inserting into the cleaner. [20,21] Remember: Do not use hot water or detergents. In the unlikely event of the filters becoming damaged, fit a Genuine Hoover replacement. Do not try and use product without dust bag or filters fitted. Cleaning the permanent cloth dust bag* (*Certain model only) To maintain optimum performance we recommended that you wash the permanent cloth dust bag after every 5 full bags. Empty the contents of the bag into a bin, wash the bag under warm water, remove excess water and leave to dry fully before replacing. Removing a blockage from the system If the bag check indicator remains lit on the display [D]:
IMPORTANT: Do not use mini turbo nozzles on rugs with long fringes, animal hides and carpet pile deeper than 15mm. Do not keep the nozzle stationary while brush is rotating.

A. Do the filters need cleaning? If so refer to ‘Cleaning the Filters’. B. Check if there is any other blockage in the system. Use a cord or a stick to remove any blockage from the telescopic tube or flexible hose. Warning - The bag check indicator will remain red if the cleaner is used when the bag is full, if there is a blockage or if the filters are dirty. If the cleaner is used for a significant period of time with the bag check indicator illuminated, an thermal cut out will switch the cleaner off to prevent overheating. The bag check indicator turns off once the cleaner has switched off to signal that the thermal cut out has been activated. If this should happen, switch the cleaner off, unplug and correct the fault. It will take about 30 minutes for the cut out to automatically reset.
