3. OPERATION

Placing the deviceFig. 3

  • It is important that you place the device on a flat-surfaced floor and away from walls. Whenever the device is being used, its heat-emitting element must be directed towards the centre of the room. Keep the device away from materials susceptible to combustion:
  • The device must be at least 0.5 m away from the room walls.
  • Keep the device's heat-emitting element at a minimum distance of 2 metres.

Air circulation

It is necessary to ensure the adequate air circulation of the room the device is located in. For the purpose of a proper disposal of combustion by-products generated during operation.

Heater installation

  1. Direct the appliance towards the centre of the room in accordance with the safety precautions shown in Figure 3.
  2. Open the panels. First, the bottom panel, and then the top panel. Finally, open the side panels. Screw the panels as shown in figure 4.
  3. Fold the rear panel and install it as shown in figure 5.
  4. When the panels are in position, install the wheels. An additional tool may be used to ensure proper securing.
  5. Insert the gas cylinder through the back of the stove with the valve outlet facing outward.
  6. Connect the hose to the burner's gas outlet and secure it with a hose clamp.
  7. Connect the hose to the gas-regulating valve and secure it with a hose clamp.
  8. Fit the appropriate regulating-valve to the gas cylinder.

Ignition instructions

The gas heater can be adjusted in two different positions: 1- Low, 2- High. Ignition mode: piezo ignition.

  1. Connect the gas cylinder to the valve and set the valve to the ON position.
  2. With the knob pressed towards the gas control (point 1 in Fig. 2), press the ignition button (point 4 in Fig. 2) 3-5 times. Keep the knob pressed for 10 seconds (for first use, this may take over 30 seconds as all air must be purged from the lines to allow gas flow).
  3. Once the main flame is lit, move the knob to position 1- 🔍 to ignite the front flames.
  4. With the heater lit in position 1- (low), turn the knob to position 2 (high) to increase heat output and front flame.

  5. To switch off the heater, turn the knob to minimum and fully close the cylinder valve. The heater can only be switched off by closing the cylinder valve. It cannot be turned off only by means of the gas selector.

Warning

Gas odour may be noticeable during initial uses.

Leakage test

This test should be carried out in a well-ventilated area where there are no open flames or other sources of ignition.

  1. With the regulator connected to the gas cylinder, turn the cylinder valve 112 turns clockwise to open the gas flow.
  2. Clean hose connections, hose to valve, regulator to cylinder and cylinder to valve with a 50/50 solution of detergent and water.
  3. Bubble formation is an indication of leakage.

IN CASE OF A LEAKAGE, PLEASE FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW:

  1. Close the gas cylinder valve (clockwise).
  2. Disconnect the regulator from the gas cylinder and move it to an open, well-ventilated area.
  3. Contact your gas supplier or distributor for assistance.

IF NO LEAKAGE IS DETECTED, PLEASE FOLLOW THT NEXT STEPS:

  1. Once the leakage test has been carried out correctly, place the rear panel on the heater. It may be necessary to rotate the gas cylinder slightly to allow the regulator and hose to fit inside the rear panel without kinking the hose.

  2. Perform monthly maintenance to ensure that none of the connections are leaking air.

Warnings

  • Do not use the heater if you detect a leak.
  • Do not use an open flame to perform the leakage test.
  • Do not use any electrical appliance in the presence of a gas leak.

Note: The heater incorporates a number of safety devices that will shut down the heater in the event of a hazardous situation. In the event of an accidental flame failure, the gas heater will automatically switch off.

These devices will turn the heater off if it tips over. If this happens, turn the heater upright, check for obvious damage and wait again for 5-10 minutes before attempting to light the heater. These devices also work if the heater is knocked.

WARNING: when lighting the heater for the first time, it may be necessary to press the gas selector for longer than normal to allow gas to reach the pilot.

ENGLISH

Changing the gas cylinder

Turn the cylinder valve to the OFF position and allow the heater to cool completely before replacing or removing the gas cylinder. Do not attempt to remove the regulator while the stove is in operation.

4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  • Before cleaning and maintenance, the gas heater supply must be shut off and the heater must be cool. Do not attempt to clean the hater while in use.
  • The heater should be checked annually by qualified personnel to ensure safe operation and to detect any possible faults.
  • If a fault is detected during use, stop using the heater and contact your supplier for advice.
  • Periodically clean the exterior and storage area of your heater to remove accumulated dust and lint from the surfaces of the ceramic components.
  • Do not use abrasive products to clean the heater.
  • Check the pilot light during operation. It should be switched on constantly. If it flickers or there is a yellow flame, the heater should be checked to make sure it is working properly.
  • If any parts need to be replaced, they must be replaced only with parts from the original manufacturer. The use of incorrect or substitute parts can be dangerous and will void any warranty.

When the heater is not in use, it is recommended that it be covered or stored in its cardboard box to reduce the accumulation of dirt that may occur.

5. TROUBLESHOOTING

The heater does not turn on:

  • Check that the gas cylinder is full.
  • Check that the regulator is correctly adjusted and that the cylinder valve is open.
  • Be sure to follow the instructions.

If this occurs after the gas cylinder has been changed, it could be due to:

  • There is air in the gas cylinder. Press and hold the gas selector until the pilot flame ignites. Change to setting 🔒 (high).

- The gas cylinder may have overcooled. Allow it to return to room temperature before lighting the heater.

The heater turns itself off:

  • If the heater turns itself off during continuous operation, repeat the operation according to the instructions.
  • If the heater switches off after approximately 30 minutes, this indicates operation in a poorly ventilated area. Open a window or door to ventilate the room before re-igniting.
  • Avoid knocking the heater during operation. Do not move the heater while in operation. The anti-tilt safety device can be activated and the heater can be switched off.
