3. OPERATION
- Carefully remove the heater from the packaging.
- Check that the heating elements and other parts are free from foam or other residues.
- Screw the folding base to the fixed base using the two screws provided.
- Install the gas hose without twisting or folding it, facing outwards. Push one end onto the gas valve connector (nozzle) of the heater and the other onto the gas pressure regulator connector. Secure both ends with jubilee clips.
- Place a paronite/rubber gasket inside the union nut, checking its integrity; carefully thread the nut onto the outlet of a prepared cylinder of suitable capacity (cylinder not included).
- Leak testing:
- Slowly open the cylinder regulator/valve and apply soapy water to all joints. If bubbles appear, there is a leak. Close the cylinder valve and contact the distributor or Cecotec's Official Technical Support Service.
- NEVER use a flame to check for leaks.
- Install the gas cylinder in the internal housing and secure it with the cylinder bracket.
- Move the heater to its place of use, following the precautions in this manual.
- The appliance is now ready for use.
Correct use
Ensure the type of gas you will use exactly matches that indicated on the appliance plate.
Cylinder placement and interconnection
- This heater is suitable for 5.0 to 15 kg LPG cylinders. Maximum cylinder size: diameter 320 mm; height 650 mm.
- Remove the rear panel and insert a full cylinder inside the heater. To prevent it from falling to the opposite side, fix the inverted rear panel onto the side panels.
- Connect the heater's gas inlet to the gas hose and secure with a clip. Connect the other end to the gas pressure knob and secure with a clip. Open the gas flow and check for leaks using soapy water.
Pilot lighting
Ignition is activated via piezoelectric button.
- Open the cylinder valve.
- Turn the control knob to the pilot position and keep it pressed for 15-30 seconds to allow gas flow to the pilot burner and burner central end.
- With the knob still pressed, push the ignition button until the pilot flame lights at the bottom of the burner. A small "pop" sound is normal.
- Keep the knob pressed for an additional 10-15 seconds to activate the thermocouple. Release the knob: the pilot flame should remain stable and light the catalytic panel.
- If the pilot flame goes out when released, wait 30 seconds and repeat the procedure.
- It is normal for the heater to smell of gas during first use.
Select power:
The heater can be adjusted to two different heat output levels:
- Low power: lightly press the control knob and turn it to the low power position.
- High power: lightly press the control knob and turn it to the high power position.
Switch-off
- Turn the control knob to the pilot position.
- Close the supply at the cylinder valve. Ensure the gas is completely shut off.
- For safety, operate the control knob from the rear or side of the heater. Wait five minutes before relighting after shutdown.
Additional usage instructions
- Always use the heater in a well-ventilated room. Do not seal doors or windows. Minimum requirements:
○ Room volume: ≥ 84 m ^3
○ Ventilation area: >106 cm ^4
- Protection system: the metal protection grid covering the upper catalytic burner area prevents contact with very hot surfaces (ceramic tiles). Do not remove it. It does not offer total protection for children; do not leave minors alone in the room.
- Periodic leak check: if you smell gas, close the supply, ventilate and contact Cecotec's official Technical Support Service. Do not use flame to locate leaks. You can use soapy water to detect bubbles at joints.
- Built-in safety features: Oxygen Depletion System (ODS) and anti-tip safety device.
Cylinder change
- Replace the cylinder in a spacious, ventilated area, away from ignition sources (candles, cigarettes, etc.).
- Take the heater outside and remove the rear panel. Remove the cylinder and place it on the ground next to the heater.
ENGLISH
- Unscrew the knob nut clockwise (hand wheel).
- Before connecting the full cylinder, check that the knob seal (bull nose) is in good condition; if in doubt, have the knob checked by your gas supplier.
- Connect the full cylinder and check for leaks.
- If there are no leaks, place the cylinder inside the heater body ensuring the hose is not trapped or twisted. Reattach the rear panel by fitting the clips.
- Ensure the hose is installed facing outwards, not contacting the heater's inner plate.
4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Do not use damp cloths or spray water on the heater during cleaning.
- Under normal use, contact the authorised agent for periodic maintenance. Store the heater in a clean, dry place when not in use.
- Check that the knob seal is in good condition when connecting the cylinder.
- Always verify that the hose is in good condition and firmly secured to both heater and knob.
- It is recommended to replace the hose every 2 years, whether used or not; use LPG-approved hose and replace clips at the same time.
- If the hose shows leaks or blockages, replace it immediately. Hose and knob must be replaced when they expire.
- There are no user-serviceable parts except hose and knob. For other faults, contact Cecotec's Official Technical Support Service.
- It is advisable to have the heater checked by a gas supplier before each winter and perform service/inspection each season or before use if stored for long periods.
5. TROUBLESHOOTING
The following table lists the most common symptoms, their probable causes and recommended action. Before intervening, set the control knob to PILOT position, close the cylinder valve wheel and check for leaks with soapy water. If the fault persists after applying the indicated actions, contact Cecotec's Official Technical Support Service.
| Problem | Possible causes | Solution |
| Ignition failure | Gas supply closed. | Open the gas supply. |
| Insufficient gas line pressure. | Use the heater when pressure is normal. | |
| Weak spark. | Check the distance between ignition needle and thermocouple (adjust to approx. 4-5 mm). | |
| The flame goes out when releasing the knob. | Thermocouple functioning incorrectly. | Keep the knob pressed for 10 seconds and relight. |
| Loose ignition device. | Secure the ignition device. | |
| Pink flame | Poor maintenance | Contact Cecotec's Official Technical Support Service. |
| Abnormal combustion | Insufficient gas pipe pressure. | Use the heater when pressure is normal. |
| Gas flow blocked. | Clean the gas duct. |
