3. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR PLUGGING IN THE APPLIANCE
- This appliance complies with the technology standards and safety legislation relating to electrical appliances.
- To avoid harm or danger through inappropriate use, the safety instructions must be followed. If you give the appliance to someone else, you must also give them the safety instructions.
- If the power cable is damaged, it must only be changed by a repair technician recommended by the manufacturer or by its technical service.
- The voltage of the power socket must be the same as that specified on the plate of the appliance.
- Plug the appliance into an AC earthed power socket. Do not place the cable on to sharp surfaces, do not leave it hanging. Keep the cable well away from hot or wet areas!
- Before using the appliance, check that it is working properly! It must not be used if:
- The power cable is damaged
- The appliance is visibly damaged
- The appliance has been dropped.
- Never wind the power cable around the appliance.
- The power cable must not come into contact with hot parts of the appliance and must not be placed between the straightening plates.
- Only plug the power cable in when the appliance is switched off.
- When unplugging, do not pull on the cable.
Safety instructions for using the appliance
Always use the appliance for its intended purpose! - The appliance must not come into contact with flammable materials. Neither must it be used near flammable materials as the straightening plates reach temperatures of approx. 200°C
- Do not cover the straightening plates with objects!
- The appliance must never be switched on with the plates closed. Make sure that the appliance is open!
- People with nervous problems must not use the appliance when they are alone in order to prevent possible danger. Children are not aware of the dangers of electrical appliances. It is therefore necessary to supervise them when they are using the appliance!
- Keep the packaging materials, e.g. plastic bags, well away from children!

Warning!
There is a risk of burning yourself with the straightening plates and the hot parts of the appliance!
Do not hold the appliance by or near the straightening plates when it is switched on. The straightening plates and the hot steam can cause burns. Avoid contact with your skin and eyes. Never carry the appliance when it is hot!

Risk of electrocution
Do not use the appliance with wet hands, in the bath or shower, or over a full sink. If the appliance falls into the water, unplug it immediately. Under no circumstances touch the water when the appliance is still plugged in!

When the appliance is being used in the bathroom, unplug it after use as the proximity of water can be dangerous even when the appliance is switched off!
- Never place the appliance on cushions or carpets while in use! After use, or if there is a pause for some considerable time, unplug the appliance and leave it to cool down.
- Do not place the appliance or the power cable on to hot surfaces, e.g. cookers or similar, or anywhere near flames!

Warning!
Risk of burns from hairspray!
Do not use flammable substances, such as hairspray, mousse, etc., on your hair before using the appliance as this can cause burns when the substance comes into contact with the straightening plates!
- The appliance must only be used on dry natural hair. Do not use on artificial hair!
- The appliance is not suitable for straightening animal hair!
- The installation of a protective device against current faults with a cut-out switch provides additional safety to ensure that the 30mA of your home installation are not exceeded.

Safety instructions for cleaning and maintenance
Always unplug the appliance from the power socket and leave it to cool down before cleaning or repairing it, or if a fault occurs during use! - Do not use the power cable to pull the appliance out of the socket or remove the plug from the socket with wet hands!

4. INITIAL USE AND HAIR STRAIGHTENING
Preparing your hair
- This appliance can be used on both dry and wet hair.
- Wash your hair and dry it with a towel or dryer until you are sure that there are no remnants of dripping water on your hair.
- Comb your hair thoroughly; do not use hairspray or other flammable chemical hair care products.
- Wrap a towel around your neck to avoid burns.
Switch on the appliance
- Place the appliance on a flat and level surface, plug it in, and switch it on using the ON/OFF switch (b). Leave the straightener to heat up for approximately 3 minutes.
Straightening long hair
Work with 5 cm thick sections. Place the hair between the hot plates and press firmly. Keep it in place for a few seconds and pass it along the hair from the roots to the tips, maintaining some pressure. Repeat the process until you have acquired the desired style. Leave your hair to cool down before giving it the final touches or before combing.
Straightening short hair
Follow the instructions for long hair, but instead of pulling the straightener along your hair, keep the straightener in the same place for approximately 10 seconds.
USEFUL SHAPING TIPS
- Straight
Insert a section of hair of around 5 cm thick between the plates, then press the tongs together and slide them slowly along the hair from the roots to the tips.
- Shaping soft curls
Insert a section of hair of approx. 5cm thick between the plates, press the tongs together gently and slide the straightener along to the tips, then coil the hair around the plates.
- Shaping outwards
Insert a section of hair of around 5cm thick between the plates, then press the tongs together and slide them along the hair starting from the roots and gently shaping the tips outwards.
- Shaping inwards
Insert a section of hair of around 5cm thick between the plates, then press the tongs together and slide them slowly along the hair starting from the roots and shaping the tips inwards.
COLD TOUCH COVER
As the appliance is designed for professional use, the temperature will be very high during use. Using the cold touch cover is recommended during personal use of the appliance.
Fitting the cold touch cover
- Align the centre of the appliance with the inner part of the cover (image 1).
- Slide the cover backwards to the end (image 2).
- Pull the cover until it fits onto the body of the appliance (image 3).
Removing the cold touch cover
- Use two fingers to pull on the two buttons on the sides of the cover. (image 1). Pull on the cover from the back and remove it from the appliance by sliding it forwards.
Switching off the appliance
Switch off the appliance by using the ON/OFF switch b.
5. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Risk of electrocution! Switch the appliance off before cleaning it and unplug it.
- Risk of burns! It is essential to leave the appliance to cool down completely.
- Before cleaning the appliance, unplug it from the power socket!
- Do not put the appliance in water!
- Look after your appliance! Do not use
sharp or abrasive cleaning agents!
- You can clean your appliance with a slightly damp cloth and dry it with a soft dry cloth.
- If the straightening plates get dirty, use some drops of washing-up liquid to help to clean them. Make sure that you remove all remnants of the detergent from the straightening plates!

Disposing of the appliance

1. SPECIFICATIONS OF THE WET HAIR STRAIGHTENER
USEFUL TIPS FOR USE
Danger of electric shock!
When using the device, keep it away from contact with water. Using it near water poses a danger of electric shock. When using it, keep it away from water!
- When using, never place the device above the water surface or near it! After use, if you intend to use it for a long time, disconnect the device from the electrical outlet and leave it to cool. Do not place the device or the power cord on hot surfaces, such as stoves or similar, or near flames!

Important warning!
Danger of fire when using the device!
Do not place flammable substances, such as lacquer, resin, and similar products, near the device while using it, as this could lead to fire when the substance comes into contact with the heated parts!
- The device should only be used on natural hair that is dry. Do not use it on synthetic hair!
- The device is not intended for styling animal hair!
- Installing a protective device with a residual current device (RCD) with a rated tripping current of no more than 30 mA is recommended for the electrical installation in the home. - Disconnect from the mains:

Do not pull the cord and do not disconnect the device by pulling the cord!
Instructions for safe use and maintenance
- Disconnect the device from the electrical outlet and let it cool down before cleaning or repairing it, or if problems arise during use! Do not use the cord to pull out the plug, and do not pull the plug out of the socket with wet hands!

4. First use and straightening the hair
Preparing the device
This device can be used on both dry and damp hair. - Rinse the hair and dry it well with a towel, so as to remove the excess water from the hair and to prevent water from dripping from it. Comb the hair well and do not use any other styling products. - Place the towel around your neck to avoid burns.
Switching on the device
Place the device on a horizontal and flat surface and press the plates into contact and switch on the device with the on/off switch "b". Leave the device to heat up for about 3 minutes.
Straightening the hair
Work with sections of about 5 cm. Place the hair between the hot plates and press gently. Leave it in place for a few seconds and slide the hair from the roots to the ends, applying some pressure. Repeat the process until you achieve the desired style. Leave the hair to cool before giving it the final shape or before combing it.
Curling the hair
Follow the instructions for straightening the hair, but instead of pulling the device along the hair, hold it in one place for about 10 seconds.
Placing the non-heating cap
- Insert the appliance into the socket until it stops (Figure 1).
- Pull the appliance back to the edge (Figure 2). - Hold the appliance until it stops on the housing (Figure 3).
Connecting the unheated appliance
Hold the appliance by the two ends and remove it. (Figure 1). Hold the appliance from the back side and pull it forward, pulling the sockets.
DISCONNECTING THE APPLIANCE
Disconnect the plug from the socket for switching on/off "b."
5. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Danger of electric shock! Disconnect the appliance before cleaning and remove the plug from the socket.
- Danger of burns! It is very important to let the appliance cool down completely.
- Before cleaning, disconnect the appliance from the electrical network! Do not immerse the appliance in water!
- Keep the appliance! Do not use sharp objects or abrasive cleaners for cleaning!
- You can clean the appliance with a slightly damp cloth and then dry it with a dry cloth! If it is very dirty, use a few drops of mild detergent to clean it. Make sure to remove all detergent residues before using it again!

3. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR CONNECTING THE DEVICE TO THE POWER SUPPLY

Attention!
When operating this device, there is a risk of burns from the straightening plates and heated parts of the body!
The device must not be moved while it is heating up. The heating plates located close to the hair roots can cause burns. Do not allow heated plates to come into contact with skin or eyes. It is strictly forbidden to move the device while it is hot!

Danger of burns from flammable hairspray!
Do not apply flammable substances to your hair, such as hairspray or hair gel, before using the straightener, as this can lead to burns. Flammable substances can ignite upon contact with the hot straightening plates!
This device can only be used for straightening dry, natural hair. Do not use the device for styling wigs or hairpieces! - This device is not intended for use on animal fur! - The level of safety during operation is higher if your home is equipped with a device that protects against electric shock, with a circuit breaker.
The device must be connected to a power outlet with a residual current device (RCD) with a rated tripping current of 30 mA.
- The device must be disconnected from the power supply in the following cases:
- if the device is not working properly;
- before cleaning it;
- after each use. It is forbidden to pull the power cord to move the device, hold it by the cord!
