3. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

  • Before using this appliance for the first time, read the following instructions carefully and keep them for future reference. Make sure that the mains voltage in your home corresponds to that indicated on the appliance.

4. PREPARING THE APPLIANCE

This blender is designed to process small quantities of food and must not be used for any other purpose. The blender is suitable for liquidising carrots and potatoes, and for making milkshakes, pastry, soups, mayonnaise or baby food.

Before using it for the first time, clean the body of the motor (4) with a damp cloth. Wash the blender leg (5), the multi-purpose lid (7), the chopper lid (9), the chopper jug (10), the chopping blade (11) and the tapered container (12) in hot soapy water. Dry all parts thoroughly.

IMPORTANT: Unplug the appliance before assembling or dismantling any of its parts.

WARNING: The blades are very sharp; handle them with great care.

5. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Blender function

  • The blender is suitable for blending light foods, for example for making sauces, soups, mayonnaise or baby food.
  • Attach the blender leg (5) to the blender body (4) by turning it anti-clockwise until it is securely in place (Fig. B).
  • Put the food to be blended into a suitable container such as the tapered container provided with the product.
  • Before turning it on, put the blender leg vertically into the ingredients to be processed (Fig. C). This will prevent the food from spilling out over the edge or splashing. Plug in the appliance.
  • Press the on/off switch (2) to start the processing.
  • Select the speed by turning the speed regulator (1) from the - (minimum) position to the + (maximum) position (Fig. D). If you think it is necessary, press the Turbo button (3) to blend at maximum speed.

It is advisable to use this appliance intermittently, i.e. in short bursts. This will

give a better quality when preparing foods and will place less stress on the motor. Do not operate the appliance for more than one minute continuously. After one minute of use, switch it off and leave it to rest until it cools down before using it again.

Chopping function

  • Use the chopper to chop meat, nuts, herbs, boiled eggs, stale bread, etc.
  • Place the chopper blade (11) into the chopper jug (Fig. E) and put the ingredients you want to chop into the chopper jug (use table 1 as a guide). Blender jug:

Maximum capacity for solids: 300 ml. Maximum capacity for liquids: 400 ml.

  • Place the chopper lid (9) onto the chopper jug (10).
  • Insert the blender body (4) into the blender coupling (8) by turning it anticlockwise until it is securely fixed in place (Fig. F).
  • Insert the blender coupling (8) into the chopper lid (9) and plug in the appliance (Fig. G).
  • Press the on/off switch (2) to start the processing.
  • Select the speed by turning the speed regulator (1) from the - (minimum) position to the + (maximum) position (Fig. D). If you think it is necessary, press the Turbo button (3) to blend at maximum speed.
  • Once you have finished chopping, extract the blade (11) from the chopper jug before removing the food.
  • Once you have finished chopping, you can store the contents of the jug (10) by putting the multi-purpose lid (9) on so that the contents are sealed. You can then serve the contents by turning the rotating part of the multi-purpose lid until the holes for this purpose are in line.

WARNING: Do not use the appliance with the chopping jug more than 1 minute.

6. CLEANING

Switch off the blender and unplug it before cleaning or performing any maintenance operation.

Wash all accessories immediately after each use in order to prolong their service life. Be careful when handling the blades (6 and 11) as they are very sharp. Keep them well out of reach of children.

Clean the body of the blender (4) and blender coupling (8) with a slightly damp cloth. Do not immerse the blender body and blender coupling (8) in water or in any other liquid.

Wash all the other accessories in warm water and a little washing-up liquid.

After the chopping process, some of the ingredients may remain on the chopping blade (11). If it is very difficult to clean the blade, dismantle the inner blade shaft (11.1), of the chopping blade (11) by pulling the shaft (Fig H). The blade is very sharp; handle it with care.

After cleaning both parts, install the inner shaft of the blade (11.1): place the shaft on a flat surface, hold the blade (11) and push it onto the base of the shaft until it clicks into place (Fig. 1). Remember that for the chopping function you must always install the blade with the inner shaft in position.

Wash the measuring cup (12), chopper bowl (10), chopper lid (9), multifunctional lid (7), and chopper blade (11) in warm water with detergent. Dry all parts completely.

5. USE

Blender modes

lid to ensure a tight seal. To prevent the contents from spilling, turn the rotating part of the multifunctional lid so that the opening in it aligns with the opening in the lid.
