How to set the time and date?

Press the SET button until the hour display flashes. Use the ▲ and ▼ buttons to set the hours, then press SET again to move to minutes, etc. You can also choose the 12/24 hour format with the ▼ button before starting.

How to listen to the radio?

Set the function selector to ON and the AUX/RADIO selector to RADIO. Choose the FM or AM band with the band selector. Use the TUNING knob to find a station. For FM, extend the telescopic antenna.

How to program the alarm?

Press MODE until the alarm symbol appears. Press SET to set the hour, then minutes. After the minutes, press SET again to choose the alarm melody with ▲ or ▼. Finalize with SET.

How to wake up to the radio?

After setting the alarm time, set the function selector to AUTO. Press MODE twice, then press ▲ so that the radio alarm symbol appears. Press MODE again to confirm. At the programmed time, the radio will start.

How to use the snooze function?

When the alarm sounds, press the SNOOZE button to stop the alarm for about 6 minutes. The snooze symbol flashes on the screen. You can repeat this operation.

How to set the temperature display?

Press the C/F button to toggle between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F) display. Note that in radio mode, the measured temperature is about 3°C above room temperature.

How to connect an external device via AUX?

Connect your device (MP3 player, CD player, etc.) to the AUX IN jack (3.5 mm) on the back. Set the AUX/RADIO selector to AUX. The sound is then played through the radio's speakers. Adjust the volume with the VOLUME knob.

How to clean the device?

Always unplug the device before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use chemical or abrasive cleaners. Do not allow liquid to enter the device.

What is the warranty?

The device comes with a 24-month warranty from the date of purchase. For any claims, return the complete device with original packaging and proof of purchase to your retailer.

How to change the batteries?

Open the battery compartment on the back of the device. Insert 2 AA 1.5 V batteries, observing polarity (+/-). Batteries are only used for the clock. If the device is plugged in, the clock runs on mains power.

General Safety Instructions

Read the operating instructions carefully before putting the appliance into operation and keep the instructions including the warranty, the receipt and, if possible, the box with the internal packing.

Special Safety Instructions

Initial Use of the Radio Recorder/Introduction

• Please read the operating instructions carefully before using the radio recorder for the first time!
• Select a suitable location for the radio recorder, such as a dry, flat, non-slip surface on which it is easy to operate the machine.
• Ensure that the radio recorder is sufficiently ventilated!

Inserting the batteries (Batteries not supplied)

Please note:

The clock only works when batteries are inserted!

1. Open the battery compartment (14) on the back.
2. Insert two Mignon batteries of type R6 „AA“ 1.5V. Please ensure that the polarity is correct (see the floor of the battery compartment)!
3. Close the battery compartment again.
4. If the device is not used for a prolonged period of time, please take the batteries out in order to prevent leakage of battery acid.
5. Different battery types or new and used batteries must not be used together.

Warning: batteries are not to be disposed of together with domestic wastes. Dispose of the used batteries at the relevant collection bin or at your dealer's.

Never throw batteries into the fire.

Power supply

Insert the plug into a properly installed 230 V, 50 Hz power socket. Ensure that the voltage is the same as that indicated on the model identification plate.

Setting the Time / Date

1. Press the button (12) to switch between the 24 hour and 12 hour display. If you have selected the 24 hour display, "24HR" appears in the display (7).

Note: In the case of the 12 hour display the letters „PM“ (post meridiem) appear in the display after 12 noon (12 noon - 11 p.m.).

1. Press the SET button (9). The hours display begins to flash.
2. When the button (13) or the ▼ button (12) is pressed briefly the display jumps forwards or backwards by one hour. If the respective button is held down the fast mode begins. Keep the button pressed down until the desired hour is reached.
3. Press the SET button (9) in order to set the minutes. The minutes begin to flash.
4. To set the minutes, proceed in the same way as when setting the hours.
5. Press the SET button (9) again. The year begins to flash.
6. When the button (13) or the ▼ button (12) is pressed briefly the display jumps forwards or backwards by one year. If the respective button is held down the fast mode begins. Keep the button pressed down until the desired year is reached.
7. Press the SET button (9) to set the month. The word „MONTH“ fl ashes in the display.
8. To set the month, proceed in the same way as when setting the year.
9. Press the SET button (9) again. The word „DATE“ fl ashes in the display.
10. When the ▲ button (13) or the ▼ button (12) is pressed briefly the display jumps forwards or backwards by one date. If the respective button is held down the fast mode begins. Keep the button pressed down until the desired date is reached.
11. Press the SET button (9) again to return to the normal display.

Note:

The weekday display (WEEK) automatically sets itself to the correct day of the week.

Listening to the Radio

1. Turn the function selector switch (1) to the ON position. The illumination of the VOLUME/TUNING control lights up.
2. Turn the AUX/RADIO function selector switch (8) to the RADIO position.
3. Turn the band selector switch (18) to the FM or AM position, depending on which frequency band you wish to hear.

VHF = FM, Medium Wave = AM.

1. Tune into the desired station using the TUNING regulator (3).
2. For VHF/FM mode pull out the telescopic antenna and turn it to improve reception. An aerial is integrated into the device for the reception of AM stations. The device can be turned to line it up with the transmitter.

Volume (4)

The desired volume can be sent using the VOLUME regulator.

Switch-off

Turn the function selector switch (1) to the OFF/AL position.

The illumination of the VOLUME/TUNING control goes off.

LIGHT Button (15)

After the LIGHT button has been pressed, the illumination of the display is switched on for approximately 10 seconds.

Setting the Alarm Time

1. Press the MODE button (10). The symbol, "appears in the display.
2. Press the SET button (9). The hours display begins to flash.
3. When the ▲ button (13) or the ▼ button (12) is pressed briefly the display jumps forwards or backwards by one hour. If the respective button is held down the fast mode begins. Keep the button pressed down until the desired hour is reached.
4. Press the SET button (9) in order to set the minutes. The minutes begin to flash.
5. To set the minutes, proceed in the same way as when setting the hours.
6. Press the SET button (9) to set the tune.
7. When the button (13) or the ▼ button (12) is pressed briefly the display (7) jumps forwards or backwards by one tune. If the respective button is held down the fast mode begins. Keep the button pressed until the desired tune is reached.
8. Press the SET button (9) again to return to the normal display.
9. Turn the function selector switch (1) to the OFF/AL position. As soon as the alarm time that has been set is reached the selected tune is heard for approximately 1 minute.

To turn off the alarm please press the SNOOZE button (16).

Automatic Alarm Interval

1. In order to activate the snooze function press the ▼ button (12) while the alarm time is displayed. The symbol „Zz“ appears in the display.
2. The automatically set alarm function can be shut off for approximately 6 minutes with the SNOOZE button (16).
3. If you would like to turn off the snooze function completely, press the ▲ button (13) or the ▼ button (12).

Radio alarm

1. Once the alarm times are set and a radio station has been selected, shift the function selector (1) to „AUTO“. The word „AUTO“ appears in the display.
2. Press the MODE button (10) twice. The number „:10“ appears in the display.
3. Press the ▲ button (13). The symbol „▶“ appears in the display.

4. Press the MODE button (10) again to return to the normal display.

5. As soon as the alarm time is reached, the radio is switched on. The selected radio station plays at the set volume.

In order to turn the radio off, push the function selector switch (1) to the OFF/AL position.

Note: If the snooze function is activated the waking alarm that has been set is heard after approximately 6 minutes.

Deactivating the Alarm Time

1. Press the MODE button (10).
2. Press the button (13). The "or" symbol goes off.
3. Press the 2x MODE button (10) twice to return to the normal display.

Delayed Switch-off

1. Turn the function selector switch (1) to the AUTO position.
2. Press the MODE button (10) twice. The number „:10“ appears in the display.
3. Press the button (12). The word „SLEEP“ appears in the display and the radio switches itself on.
4. Press the SET button (9). The number „:10“ begins to fl ash.
5. When the button (13) or the ▼ button (12) is pressed briefly the display jumps forwards or backwards by 10 minutes. If the respective button is held down the fast mode begins. Keep the button pressed down until the desired time is reached (10 - 60 minutes).
6. Press the MODE button (10) to return to the normal display. In order to turn the radio off, push the function selector switch (1) to the OFF/AL position.

Note: If the function selector switch (1) is in the „AUTO“ position it is not possible to use the alarm function.

Temperature Display

The device has a temperature display which you can change between °C (Celsius) and °F (Fahrenheit).

- Switch between °C and °F by repeatedly pressing the C/F button (11).

Note: Due to the heat produced by the device itself in radio mode, the measured temperature is approximately 3 °C above the actual temperature.

AUX IN socket

To connect analogue replay devices. Using this socket it is possible to hear the sound of other playback devices such as MP3 players, CD players etc. through the loudspeaker.

1. Please connect the external device with a 3.5 mm stereo jack plug to the AUX IN socket (17).
2. Turn the AUX/RADIO function selector switch (8) to the AUX position.
3. Through the loudspeakers you will now hear the sound from the external device. You can adjust the volume with the VOLUME control (4).
4. For the remaining procedure please see the operating instructions of the external sound source.

Note:

Turn the volume of the external device to maximum.

Cleaning and care

• Before cleaning remove the mains lead from the socket.
• Clean the housing with a soft, dry cloth without additives.

The guarantee services do not entail an extension of the life of the guarantee nor do they give rise to any right to a new guarantee!

Proof of the guarantee is provided by the proof of purchase. Without proof of purchase no free replacement or repair will be carried out.

If you wish to make a claim under the guarantee please return the entire machine in the original packaging to your dealer together with the receipt.
