PREPARATION TO WORK

NOTE! Installation of accessories may be carried out only with the supply voltage disconnected. Pull out the plug of power cable from the mains socket!

Determination of coating material viscosity (II)

The product accessories include a viscometer that allows determining if the viscosity (density) of paint is correct for the gun.

Mix the coating material to be sprayed thoroughly. Mixing is aimed at avoiding uneven distribution of density of the coating material.

Dip the viscometer until it submerges under the surface of liquid.

Lift the viscometer above the liquid surface and measure the time needed to empty the viscometer.

Depending on the type of liquid, the viscometer should be emptied within 18 s ± 2 s.

Density of coating material can be decreased using the thinner specified in the documentation attached to coating material.

Filling and assembly of a paint container

Unscrew the paint container.

Firmly push the suction tube into the mounting hole. The end of the suction tube is bent back, which is to assist in more accurate emptying of the container while holding the gun at an angle, e.g. when painting floors or ceiling. Point the bent-back end of the tube in the opposite direction of intended inclination of a gun.

Fill the container with paint of suitable viscosity. Do not exceed the upper mark of the paint container capacity.

Carefully screw the container to the gun, tighten the container to seal the connection

GUN OPERATION

The gun is not intended for spraying the following type of paint:

High density paints.

Paints containing abrasive agents such as red lead monoxide.

Coarse-grained paints.

Caustic and alkaline paints.

All operations connected with spray adjustment must be performed with the mains supply switched off. To do this, unplug the power cord from the mains socket.

Spray adjustment

Gun's nozzle allows obtaining three shapes of the stream of coating material. The shape can be changed by changing the position of air nozzles.

Loosen slightly the nozzle retaining ring, set one of settings shown in figure (III), and then lock the position of nozzles by tightening the ring. Do not set the nozzles in other positions than those described in this manual.

Symbols indicating the shape of stream of coating material are shown on the gun's housing.

NOTE! Do not press the gun trigger button while adjusting the air nozzles.

Adjustment of quantity of coating material sprayed (IV)

Behind the trigger/switch there is an adjustment knob that limits the depth of the trigger pull. The deeper the trigger is pressed, the more spray material comes out of the gun nozzle.

EN

Turning the knob in a clockwise direction increases the quantity of coating material, turning in the opposite direction decreases it. A marking on the trigger facilitates the adjustment.

Switching in and switching off

Fill the container with coating material as per the procedure described above.

Ensure that the voltage on the rating plate corresponds with the mains voltage.

Make sure the gun trigger is not pressed.

Connect the power cord plug into the mains socket.

Switch on the device with the switch, point the gun towards a safe place and press the trigger button. If necessary, adjust the quantity of material to be sprayed as per the adjustment procedure.

Switching off the gun is done by releasing the trigger.

Painting

First trials of spraying the coating material are recommended to be carried out on the test surface. This will allow avoiding any damage to working surface.

Make sure that all surfaces that are not to be coated are thoroughly covered. Make sure that the surface to be coated is clean, dry, degreased and free of dust.

Hold the device straight in a vertical position so that the nozzle outlet stays approximately 20 cm away from the surface being sprayed.

Displace the gun from side to side or up and down so that it always stays at a constant distance from the surface being sprayed (V). Begin displacing the gun, then press the trigger in its course. Release the trigger before completing the gun movement (VI).

Displace the gun in a monotonous motion, changes in pace or stopping the gun while spraying will result in an uneven distribution of coating material.

Avoid tilting the gun both horizontally and vertically (VII). This will result in an uneven distribution of coating material.

Apply a few thin layers of coating material instead of one thick layer.

Before applying the next coat, leave the previous one to be slightly dried, follow the instructions provided with the sprayed agent.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Warning! Do not use flammable materials for cleaning and maintenance.

Immediately after the end of spraying the coating material, unscrew the container and clean it inside and the outside of suction tube with a thinner intended for a given coating material. Then fill the tank with the thinner intended for a given coating material and start spraying it onto the test surface. Spraying should be stopped as soon as a clean thinner is coming out of the nozzle.

Stop spraying, unplug the power cord from the mains socket, and then disassemble the container, empty the residues of thinner and dry it.

Unscrew the nozzle fixing nut and thoroughly clean the spray nozzle and piston, using a soft cloth and a thinner intended for a given coating material.

Leaving the gun without cleaning will cause the coating material to dry inside the product. This may lead to irreversible gun damage.

Clean the outside parts of the product with a soft, damp cloth and then wipe them dry.

Note! It is forbidden to clean the gun by directing a stream against it or submerging it in water, thinner or other liquid.

It is forbidden to use sharp objects and/or abrasive cleaning agents used for cleaning the gun.
