PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS
Slow cooker is an appliance used for slow food preparation at low temperature, which does not cause food to boil. Thanks to this, food does not lose its nutritional properties and does not burn. The slow cooker is particularly suitable for preparing soups, stews, stock, bigos stew, fricassee, jams, etc. The slow cooker can also sustain the temperature of the prepared food. Proper, reliable and safe operation of the product depends on appropriate use, that is why you should:
Read and keep the entire manual before the first use of the product.
The supplier shall not be held liable for any damage or injury resulting from improper use of the product, failure to observe the safety regulations and recommendations of this manual. Use of the product for purposes other than those for which it was intended shall cause the loss of the user's rights to the guarantee and under warranty.

mersing a hot bowl in cold water. Do not use the bowl for preparation of dishes in ovens, cookers, stoves, etc. Do not put the bowl in the freezer. The bowl can be placed in the refrigerator, where the temperature does not drop below 0^ . After taking the bowl out of the refrigerator, wait approximately 30 minutes for the bowl to get warm.
When preparing food, use accessories and tools made of such materials which will withstand the temperature generated by the product. It is forbidden to use bare hands for this purpose. Do not use sharp metal tools which could damage the surface of the bowl.
If any food is left inside the bowl during or after preparation, remove the food remains before preparing another dish. Food remains can be burned, causing smoke, unpleasant smell, and affect the taste of the prepared food. They may also be the cause of fire. Use utensils made of wood or plastic able to withstand the temperature generated by the product. Do not use sharp or metal utensils. Such utensils can damage the bowl and accessories' surface.
PRODUCT OPERATION
Installation, start-up and operation of the appliance
The product must be unpacked and all parts of the packaging removed. It is recommended to keep the packaging, as it can be helpful in further transporting and storing of the product.
Clean the product according to the instructions specified in the "Product Maintenance" section.
It is recommended to fill the bowl with food before placing it in the housing. This will reduce the risk of contamination of the housing with food. If the outside of the bowl is contaminated with food, thoroughly clean the contaminated areas before placing the bowl inside the housing.
Place the foodstuffs inside the bowl. Cover the bowl with the lid and make sure that the edge of the lid is aligned with the edge of the bowl. Place the bowl with the food in the product housing.
Plug the power cord plug into the socket. The lights of each operating mode button and all display elements will light up for a few seconds. After the lights go off, the "----" symbol will appear on the display.
The ON/OFF button is used to turn the appliance on and off. Turning on the appliance is indicated by a light coming on next to the button.
The arrow buttons are used to increase and decrease the cooking time and the switch-on delay time. The upward arrow increases the time and the downward arrow decreases the time.
The DELAY TIME button allows you to set a delay in switching on the appliance. You can set the time between 0.5 and 18 hours with 0.5 hour increments.
The COOKING TIME button allows you to set the cooking time of the appliance. You can set the time between 0.5 and 18 hours with 0.5 hour increments.
The HIGH button allows you to set a higher temperature for food preparation.
The LOW button allows you to set a lower temperature for food preparation.
The KEEP WARM button allows you to turn the heat-sustaining mode on for up to 5 hours.
CAUTION!
All settings are made after the appliance has been turned on.
After selecting the switch-on delay time, select the cooking time. Otherwise, after the switch-on delay time has expired, the appliance will automatically start cooking for 18 hours.
When the cooking process is finished, the appliance will automatically switch to the heat-sustaining mode. The heat-sustaining mode automatically switches off after 5 hours.
If during operation in any mode a power failure occurs, the appliance will remain switched off after power is restored and the operating parameters will not be stored.
Advice on using the slow cooker
Most food is suitable for slow cooking, but we recommend that you adhere to the following instructions.
For best results, the slow cooker bowl should be at least half full.
Slow cooking keeps moisture in the food. To reduce the food moisture, remove the lid after cooking and set the high cooking temperature for 30 - 45 minutes.
The lid is not sealed. However, do not remove it without reason. Each time the lid is removed during the preparation of a dish, you should add approx. 10 minutes to the cooking time specified in the recipe.
When preparing a soup, leave a clearance of approx. 5cm between the lid and the surface of the soup.
The slow cooker should not be used to heat food, but it is possible to place the food in the slow cooker immediately after prepa
EN
ration in another dish and use the slow cooker to keep the food warm.
If the traditional recipe is adapted to the slow cooker, less liquid may be needed. Due to the lower temperature than traditional cooking, the liquid evaporates more slowly.
Cut the vegetables into small, even pieces and fry them gently for approx. 2 - 3 minutes before placing them in the slow cooker. Due to the longer preparation time than meat, vegetables should be placed at the very bottom of the bowl and immersed in the liquid of the food at all times.
Fat from the meat prepared in a slow cooker does not drip in the same way as in traditional cooking. Depending on your preference, cut off the fat from the meat before placing it in the slow cooker.
Most slow cooker recipes require 8-10 hours of low-temperature cooking and 4-6 hours of high-temperature cooking.
After preparing the food in the slow cooker, the heated and covered bowl keeps the food warm for approx. 30 minutes. If you need to keep your food warm for a longer period of time, you should start the heat-sustaining mode. However, do not keep the food warm for more than 4 hours. After this time the food will start to dry out and lose its flavour.
Slow cooking may partially deprive the food of its flavour, therefore more spices should be used than in traditional cooking.
The bowl should not be submerged in water for too long. The lower edge of the bowl is free of glaze and will absorb water. The bowl can be filled with water for a longer period of time, for example to soak food remains during cleaning.
Product maintenance
WARNING! All maintenance works must be carried out with the product switched off. To do this, unplug the power cord plug from the socket.
CAUTION! Never immerse the appliance housing in water or any other liquid. The appliance cannot be cleaned under running water, high-pressure water jet or in a dishwasher.
All cleaning operations must be carried out after all product components have cooled down completely. Do not speed up the cooling of product components, e.g. by dipping them in water or pouring water on them. When heated, the bowl and the glass lid can break if the temperature changes rapidly.
The product is used to prepare food placed directly in the bowl, therefore care must be taken to maintain proper hygiene so that the preparation of food is safe.
The bowl and lid can be washed under running water jet. It is also possible to wash the bowl and accessories in the dishwasher. However, it is not recommended to clean with the use of the dishwasher too often, as this can lead to damage to the surface of the cleaned components.
Use a mild dishwashing agent for cleaning. Remove solution residues with a cloth soaked in water (housing) or rinse with a stream of running water (other components). Wipe the product dry or leave to dry after cleaning it.
The product should be cleaned before the first use and after each use, after waiting for it to cool down completely. Clean any food residue remaining on the product to prevent it from burning when used again, and to prevent the product's performance from being impaired.
Do not use solvents, caustics, alcohol, petrol or abrasives for cleaning.
Clean the lid's ventilation openings with a vacuum cleaner.
Product storage and transport
During storage, keep the product indoors in closed rooms, and make sure it is not exposed to dust, dirt, or moisture. It is recommended to store the product in its original packaging.
Store the product in operating position. Do not stack products in layers. Do not place anything on the product during storage.
Transport the product in its original packaging. Protect against excessive shocks during transportation. Do not place anything on the product during transport.
