  • if a malfunction occurs,
  • before you clean the product,
  • if you have not used the product for a long time,

- during a thunderstorm and

- after each use.

When doing so, remove the power supply directly from the socket and do not pull it out using the USB Type A to C cable 10.

  • Do not change the accessories while the product is switched on.
  • Do not use the product if you detect any kind of visible, external damage. Never use a damaged product.
    If liquid gets into the product, check before using the product once more.
    If you notice that the USB Type A to C cable 10, housing or another part has become damaged, the product can no longer be used.
    ■ Repairs should only be carried out by a specialist. Improper repairs may result in considerable danger to the user. This will also make any warranty claims void.
  • Do not use defective attachments with the product as these could have sharp corners.
    ■ Defective components must always be replaced with original spare parts. Only by using original spare parts can you ensure that safety requirements are met.

For loading connect the USB Type A to C cable 10 to a power supply which is well within reach.
- Never use the product unsupervised and only use it in accordance with the information stated on the type plate.
■ Connect the USB Type A to C cable ^10 to the product before inserting it into the power supply.
The tips of the attachments are sharp.
- Switch off the product before attaching or switching the attachments, as well as before cleaning.
- Lay the USB Type A to C cable 10 so nobody will step on or trip over it.
- Do not use the product if you have an open wound, cut, sunburn or blister.

■ Use the original accessories only.
- Do not place the product on hot surfaces, near hot surfaces or near an open fire.
■ To prevent impermissible heating do not cover the mains power adaptor and the product during use and charging.
- Do not use any corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents.

DANGER OF EXPLOSION! Never recharge non-rechargeable batteries.

Do not short-circuit batteries/rechargeable batteries and/or open them. Overheating, fire or bursting can be the result.

■ Never throw batteries/rechargeable batteries into fire or water.
- Do not exert mechanical loads to batteries/rechargeable batteries.

Risk of leakage of batteries/rechargeable batteries

- Avoid extreme environmental conditions and temperatures, which could affect batteries/rechargeable batteries, e.g. radiators/direct sunlight.

If batteries/rechargeable batteries have leaked, avoid contact with skin, eyes and mucous membranes with the chemicals! Flush immediately the affected areas with fresh water and seek medical attention!

Leaked or damaged batteries/ rechargeable batteries can cause burns on contact with the skin. Wear suitable protective gloves at all times if such an event occurs.

This product has a built-in rechargeable battery which cannot be replaced by the user. This product contains a battery which is non-replaceable. When disposing of the product, it should be noted that this product contains a rechargeable battery.

- Charging the product

Note: Charge the product for 60 minutes before using it for the first time and subsequent charging.

The display shows the battery status as following table:

Note: In order to lengthen the service life of the rechargeable battery, it is recommended that

  • the product is used regularly and without long storage periods
  • the rechargeable battery is emptied before it is charged.

☐ Switch off the product using the ON/OFF button 3.

Connect the USB Type C connector 9 to the USB type C socket 8 on the product.
Connect the USB Type A connector of the USB Type A to C cable ^10 to a suitable USB Type A socket of a protection class II power supply (not provided) approved for use with household products and has SELV output DC 5 V, max. 1 A.
□ Connect the power adapter (not provided) to mains socket.
☐ The product will show the battery status during the product turn on (please refer to the below table), please charge the product when low battery indicator is applied.

Operation

WARNING! DANGER OF ELECTRIC SHOCK! The product and the USB Type A to C cable 10 are not waterproof and are not recommend to be used in the bathtub/shower.

■ The product must not be charged in the bathtub/shower.
■ Please do not use the product if you have an open wound, cut, sunburn or blister.
The product is only intended for use on dry hair in dry, indoor spaces.
■ The product can be used cordless only.

Note: Before first use, please press and hold the ON/OFF button 3 for approx. 3 seconds to deactivate the transport lock.

Note: In order to lengthen the service life of the rechargeable battery, it is recommended that the product is used regularly and without long storage periods.

●Transportlock

If the transport lock is activated, the lock symbol 7 lights up for a few seconds when a button is pressed.

☐ Press and hold the ON/OFF button 3 for approx. 3 seconds to activate/deactivate the transport lock. The lock symbol 7 will flash three times.

Shaving

■ Make sure that the blade 1 is in full contact with the skin by lying it flat against the skin.
■ The shaver can be used cordless (dry and wet shave).

Tip: Trimming is easier if the skin and hair are clean and dry.

• Dry shaving (cordless use)

☐ Lay the blade 1 against the skin and move the product upwards (against the direction of beard growth). Make sure that the surface of the blade 1 is lying flat against your skin (see Fig. B).
☐ In difficult areas, e.g. the chin, tauten the skin for better results.
To create sharp edges and lines with the blade 1, use one of the blade's edges 1 (see Fig. C).
After every use, switch the product off using the ON/OFF button 3 and clean it (see chapter "Cleaning and care").

- Wet shaving (cordless use only)

WARNING! RISK OF PROPERTY DAMAGE! When wet saving, only use shaving foam or soap lather! Never use shaving gel or shaving cream.

■ Make sure that the battery is charged and the product is disconnected from the mains power supply.

□ Apply a thin layer of shaving foam or soap lather to the skin before shaving.
Take off the blade cover 16.
☐ Switch the product on using the ON/OFF button 3.
☐ Shave your face as described in the chapter "Dry shaving (cordless use)".

• Using the comb attachment

☐ The settings on the comb attachment correspond to the remaining hair length after trimming. You can select a length desired comb attachment 13, 14, 15 to fit it on the blade with Audibly sound.

☐ Make sure that the flat part of the comb attachment 13, 14, 15 is in full contact with the skin in order to achieve an even result (see Fig. B).

□ Always move the product against the direction of beard growth. Since the hair grows in various directions, you can try out another trimming position.

Tip: Trimming is easier if the skin and hair are clean and dry.

- Changing the blade attachment

Note: You can place a repeat order online for the blade attachment 2 with the blade 1 under the item number 472382_2407 on the website www.optimex-shop.com.

WARNING! RISK OF INJURY! Do not use this product if the

blade 1 is damaged. If

  • you notice any damages,
  • your skin hurts when shaving,
  • you do not get a clean shave,

then the blade attachment 2 with the blade 1 must be replaced. The amount of wear and tear depends on the usage intensity, but in general the components must be replaced after approximately one year.

■ Switch the product off using the ON/OFF button 3 before replacing the blade attachment 2.
☐ Hold the product tightly and turn the blade attachment 2 anticlockwise slightly to remove it from the product (see Fig. D).
☐ Put a new blade attachment 2 on the product and turn it clockwise slightly to attach it in place.

- Cleaning and care

WARNING! DANGER OF ELECTRIC SHOCK! The product must be disconnected from the mains power supply before cleaning.

WARNING! DANGER OF INJURY! Always switch the product off before cleaning.

Note: Clean the product after each use.

■Theblade 1 and the blade attachment 2 can be cleaned with water. Do not use any other liquids.

■ Do not use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents.
□ Clean the blade 1 with the included cleaning brush 11 after every use (see Fig. E).
☐ If the blade 1 and the blade attachment 2 are particularly dirty, e.g. after a wet shave, rinse them under running water (see Fig. E).
□ Clean the product (without the blade 1) with a slightly damp cloth if necessary.
☐ Remove the comb attachment 13, 14, 15 and remove any remaining hair with the cleaning brush 11. Wash the comb attachment 13, 14, 15 with water if necessary (see Fig. E).

□ Allow all parts to dry thoroughly.
☐ Put the blade cover 16 on the blade 1 when storing the product (see Fig. D).

Storage

CAUTION! RISK OF PROPERTY DAMAGE!

Never store the product in the storage bag 12 whilst the product is charging. Risk of overheating!

Store the clean and dry product and its accessories in the storage bag 12 provided.
Store everything in a clean, dust-free and dry place.

Note: Do not expose the product to direct sunshine or heat when storing. The ideal ambient temperature is between -10 and +60 °C. Extreme low or high temperature may damage the battery or the product.

Note: Charge the product for at least 60 minutes if you want to store it for longer than 6 months.

- Warranty

The product has been manufactured to strict quality guidelines and meticulously examined before delivery. In the event of material or manufacturing defects you have legal rights against the retailer of this product. Your legal rights are not limited in any way by our warranty detailed below.

The warranty for this product is 3 years from the date of purchase. The warranty period begins on the date of purchase. Keep the original sales receipt in a safe location as this document is required as proof of purchase.

Any damage or defects already present at the time of purchase must be reported without delay after unpacking the product.

Should the product show any fault in materials or manufacture within 3 years from the date of purchase, we will repair or replace it – at our choice – free of charge to you. The warranty period is not extended as a result of a claim being granted. This also applies to replaced and repaired parts.
