Children and persons with disabilities

Never leave children unsupervised with the packaging material. The packaging material represents a danger of suffocation.
Children frequently underestimate the dangers. Always keep children away from the packaging material.
This product can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the product in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
■ Children shall not play with the product.
- Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
- Keep the product and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
Intended use
⚠ WARNING! Misuse may lead to injury. Use this product solely in accordance with these instructions. Do not attempt to modify the product in any way.
■ This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:
- staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;
-farm houses;
-by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
-bed and breakfast type environments.
Electrical safety
⚠️ DANGER! Risk of electric shock! Never attempt to repair the product yourself. In case of malfunction, repairs are to be conducted by qualified personnel only.
DANGER! Risk of burns!
During use the product gets hot. Do not touch the product while in use nor immediately after use.
⚠️ DANGER! Risk of burns if non-standard toast is used.
Due to the smaller size or shape, there is a risk of touching hot parts when removing the toasted toast or bread.
⚠ WARNING! Risk of electric shock! Do not immerse the product in water or other liquids. Never hold the product under running water.
⚠ WARNING! Risk of electric shock! Never use a damaged product. Disconnect the product from the power supply and contact your retailer if it is damaged.
■ The product is not to be used if it has been dropped, if there are visible signs of damage.
The bread may burn, therefore not use the toaster near or below combustible material, such as curtains.
The product is powered at all times while it is connected to the power supply.
Before connecting the product to the power supply, check that the voltage and current rating corresponds with the power supply details shown on the product's rating label.
■ Regularly check the power plug and the power cord for damages. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
■ Protect the power cord against damages. Do not let it hang over sharp edges, do not squeeze or bend it. Keep the power cord away from hot surfaces and open flames.
Operation
■ The product must not be left unattended while it is connected to the supply mains.
- Do not move the product while it in operation.
Do not place the product on hot plates (gas, electric, coal cooking range etc.). Operate the product on a level, stable, clean, heat-resistant and dry surface.
- Do not cover the product while it in use or shortly after use, when it is still hot.
The use of extension cords is not recommended. If the use of an extension cord is necessary, it must be designed for a current flow of at least 10 A.
■ Lay cords in such a way that they may not be tripped over or otherwise damaged.
The product is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote control system.
Cleaning and storage
⚠ WARNING! Risk of injury!
Disconnect the product from the power supply before cleaning work and when not in use.
- Do not store the hot product in a cupboard or in the packaging.
- Do not pull the power plug out of the electrical outlet by the power cord.
■ Protect the product, its power cord and power plug against dust, direct sunlight, dripping and splashing water.
■ Store the product in a cool, dry place, protected from moisture and out of the reach of children.
■ Protect the product against heat. Do not place the product close to open flames or heat sources such as stoves or heating appliances.
■ Always clean the product especially the crumb tray 11 after use (Refer to “Cleaning and cares” for details).
Before first use
- Remove the packaging material.
- Clean the product (see "Cleaning and care").
i NOTES:
☐ The first few times the product is heated up, a faint odour may be present. Ensure sufficient ventilation in the area.
☐ Operate the toaster empty by setting the browning level to 6 and pull down the lever of 13. Wait until the operation complete and lever moved upwards.
☐ Discard the first set of toasted bread slices.
Operation
- Unwind the power cord 7 from the cord rewind 9 before use.
- Connect the power plug 7 to a suitable socket-outlet.
Off mode
☐ The product enters off mode once you connect the mains plug 7 to a mains socket while the lever 13 remains in its initial position (up).
☐ The product remains in off mode until you press down the lever 13.
☐ When the toasting process is finished, the lever 13 moves upwards automatically. The product returns to off mode.
- Toasting bread
i NOTES:
☐ The toasting result depends, among other things, on the type, moisture, and freshness of the bread.
□ Dry or white bread browns quicker than fresh or dark bread.
□ Browning level 6 causes a very strong browning. Thick bread slices may cause smoke to form. In this case, stop the toasting process: Press △ 4.
☐ If you only want to toast a single slice of bread, use a lower browning level than for toasting 2 slices of bread.
☐ The toaster got long slot design. You can toast maximum 4 slice of bread at the same time (2 slices per toasting slot).
- Insert one or two slice of bread into each toasting slot 1.
Do not use bread slices that are too thick.
The bread must not be jammed in the toast slot.
- Set the browning level: Set the control dial 5 to one of the browning levels, from 1 to 6.
1 = very light toasting/light browning
6 = very strong toasting/very strong browning
- Press down the lever 13 until it clicks into place. The bread is lowered. The product switches on. 4 light up.
NOTE: The lever 13 only engages when the power plug 7 is connected to a socket-outlet.

When the toasting process is finished, the bread is lifted up. The lever 13 moves upwards. △ 4 goes off.

Remove the bread from the toasting slot 1.
Toast frozen bread
NOTE: Frozen bread is gently defrosted by the product and then toasted. It is not necessary to change the browning level.

Press down the lever 13 until it clicks into place. Press ✕ 3. ✕ 3 and △ 4 light up.

When the toasting process is finished, the bread is lifted up. The lever 13 moves upwards. 3 and 4 go off.

Remove the bread from the toasting slot 1.
● Warming up bread
NOTE: Bread that has already been toasted can be reheated by the product.

Press down the lever 13 until it clicks into place. Press ⏻ 2. ⏻ 2 and △ 4 light up.
-
When the toasting process is finished, the bread is lifted up. The lever 13 moves upwards. ⚙ 2 and △ 4 go off.

Remove the bread from the toasting slot 1.
Baking bread rolls
- Press down the fold-out lever 12. The bread roll warmer 6 folds out.
- Place the rolls on the bread roll warmer 6.
- Set the browning level: Set the control dial 5 to the desired browning level.
i NOTES:
☐ The toasting result depends, among other things, on the type and freshness of the bread rolls.
☐ Toast the bread roll from both sides to ensure an even browning.

Press down the lever 13 until it clicks into place. The product switches on. △ 4 light up.

When the toasting process of one side of the bread roll is finished, the lever 13 moves upwards. △4 goes off.

Turn the rolls over.
-
Press down the lever 13 until it clicks into place. The product switches on. △ 4 light up.
-
When the toasting process of the other side of the bread roll is finished, the lever 13 moves upwards. △4 goes off.

After the bread rolls are baked: Push the fold-out lever 12 upwards. The bread roll warmer 6 folds in.
- Cancel toasting
- When the product is in toasting, you can press △ 4 early to stop operation.
- Press 4. The lever 13 moves upwards. 4 goes off.
● Cleaning and care
⚠️ DANGER! Risk of electric shock! Before cleaning: Always disconnect the product from the power supply.
DANGER! Risk of burns! Do not clean the product right after operation. Let the product cool first.
⚠ WARNING! Do not immerse the product's electrical components in water or other liquids. Never hold the product under running water.

Storage

DANGER! Risk of burns! Do not store the product right after operation. Let the product cool first.
□ Clean the product before storage.
☐ Wind the power cord 7 around the cord rewind 9 and attach it to the cord clamp 10.
☐ Store the product in the original packaging when it is not in use.
☐ Store the product at a dry location out of the reach of children.

● Disposal
The packaging is made of environmentally friendly materials, which may be disposed of through your local recycling facilities.

Observe the marking of the packaging materials for waste separation, which are marked with abbreviations (a) and numbers (b) with following meaning: 1–7: plastics/20–22: paper and fibreboard/80–98: composite materials.
Product:

The product incl. accessories, manual and packaging materials are recyclable and are subject to extended producer responsibility.
Dispose them separately, following the illustrated Info-tri (sorting information), for better waste treatment.
The Triman logo is valid in France only.

To help protect the environment, please dispose of the product properly when it has reached the end of its useful life and not in the household waste. Information on collection points and their opening hours can be obtained from your local authority.
Warranty
The product has been manufactured to strict quality guidelines and meticulously examined before delivery. In the event of material or manufacturing defects you have legal rights against the retailer of this product. Your legal rights are not limited in any way by our warranty detailed below.
The warranty for this product is 3 years from the date of purchase. The warranty period begins on the date of purchase. Keep the original sales receipt in a safe location as this document is required as proof of purchase.
Any damage or defects already present at the time of purchase must be reported without delay after unpacking the product.
Should the product show any fault in materials or manufacture within 3 years from the date of purchase, we will repair or replace it – at our choice – free of charge to you. The warranty period is not extended as a result of a claim being granted. This also applies to replaced and repaired parts.
This warranty becomes void if the product has been damaged, or used or maintained improperly.
The warranty covers material or manufacturing defects. This warranty does not cover product parts subject to normal wear and tear, thus considered consumables (e.g. batteries, rechargeable batteries, tubes, cartridges), nor damage to fragile parts, e.g. switches or glass parts.
● Warranty claim procedure
To ensure quick processing of your claim, observe the following instructions:
Make sure to have the original sales receipt and the item number (IAN 525180_2504) available as proof of purchase.
You can find the item number on the rating plate, an engraving on the product, on the front page of the instruction manual (bottom left), or as a sticker on the rear or bottom of the product.
If functional or other defects occur, contact the service department listed below either by telephone or by e-mail.
Once the product has been recorded as defective you can return it free of charge to the service address that will be provided to you. Ensure to enclose the proof of purchase (sales receipt) and a short, written description outlining the details of the defect and when it occurred.
