Neck & shoulder heating pad
●Introduction

Please familiarise yourself with the heating pad before getting started and using it for the first time. To do so, please carefully read the following operating instructions and the important safety information. Use the heating pad only as described and for the stated areas of use. Keep these instructions in a safe place. If you pass the heating pad on to anyone else, please ensure that you also pass on all the documentation.
Intendeduse
This shoulder heating pad is intended for applying heat to the human body. It can be used to apply heat to the shoulders. This heating pad is not suitable for use in hospitals or for any other commercial use. In particular it must not be used for babies or infants, persons who are insensitive to heat, helpless persons, or animals. Any use other than that described above or modification of the heating pad are not permissible and may lead to injury and/or damage to the heating pad. The manufacturer assumes no liability for damage arising out of improper use.

WARNING! Failure to observe the following instructions can cause personal injury or property damage (electric shock, burns, fire). The following safety instructions and hazard warnings are not only intended to protect your own health and the health of others, but also to prevent damage to the heating pad. Please observe these safety instructions and pass on this operating manual together with the heating pad.

SCALDINGHAZARD!
This heating pad may not be used by persons insensitive to heat and other persons in need of protection who do not respond to overheating (e.g. diabetics, persons with skin changes caused by illness or scarred skin areas in the application area after using analgesics or alcohol). There is a risk of receiving skin burns.

WARNING!
heating pad may not be used for very young children (0–3 years), as they are unable
to react to overheating. There is a risk of receiving skin burns.
The heating pad may be used by children over 3 years and under 8 years on the lowest setting when supervised. Burns may otherwise occur.
This heating pad may be used by children age 8 and up, and persons with diminished physical, sensory or mental capacities or lacking experience and knowledge when supervised or instructed on the safe use of the heating pad and understand the associated risks.
■ Never allow children to play with the heating pad. There is a risk of injury.
■ Children must not perform clean or maintain the product without supervision. There is a risk of injury.
This heating pad is not intended for hospital or commercial use. This poses a risk of injuries and/or damage to the heating pad.


WARNING!
Do not insert needles or pointed objects into the heating pad. There is a risk of electric shock.


WARNING!
Do not switch on the
heating pad whilst folded or pushed together. The heating pad may otherwise be damaged.

WARNING!
When opera-
ting the heating pad for several hours, we commend setting the control unit 1 to the lowest setting to prevent overheating and potential burns to the part of the body heat is applied to.
- Do not use when wet! Otherwise there is a risk of electric shock.
This heating pad may only be operated together with the control unit specified on the label. The heating pad may otherwise be damaged.
The electric and magnetic fields emitted by this heating pad could potentially interfere with the functionality of your pacemaker. However, the levels are far below the permissible limits: electric field strength: max. 5000 V/m, magnetic field strength: max. 80 A/m magnetic flux density: max.
0.1 milli-Tesla. Therefore please consult your physician and the manufacturer of your pacemaker before using this heating pad.
- Do not pull, twist or kink the cables. The heating pad may otherwise be damaged.
The cable and the switch of the heating pad may pose risk of catching, strangulation, tripping or being stepped on if positioned incorrectly. The user must ensure excess cable and cables in general are positioned safely.
■ Frequently check the heating pad for wear or damage. If signs thereof are detected, the heating pad was used improperly or will no longer heat up, it must first be inspected by the manufacturer before being switched on again.
If the power cord of the heating pad is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service department, or a similarly qualified person, to avoid hazards.
- Do not expose the switch and cables to direct sunlight. This could damage the heating pad.
■ With the heating pad switched on, never
- place objects on it (e.g. suitcases or clothes baskets),
- place a heating source such as a hot-water bottle, heating pad or similar items on it. The
heating pad may otherwise be damaged.
The electronic components inside the control unit will heat up whilst operating the heating pad. For this reason, the control unit must not be covered or be lying on the heating pad during operation. This poses a risk of injuries and/or damage to the heating pad.
■ Always observe the information on start-up, cleaning and care, and storage.
RISK OF DAMAGE TO THE PRODUCT OR
PROPERTY! Let the heating pad cool before putting it away. The heating pad may otherwise be damaged.

PROPERTY! To prevent the heating pad from becoming sharply creased, do not store other objects on top of the heating pad. The heating pad may otherwise be damaged.

●Safetysystem
Note: The heating pad is equipped with a safety system. The electronic sensor technology prevents the entire surface of the heating pad from overheating by automatically switching off in the event of a fault. If the safety system switches the heating pad off automatically due to a fault, then the function display 2 on the control unit 1 is no longer illuminated, even if the heating pad is switched on.
☐ Please note that, for safety reasons, the heating pad must not be used after a fault and must be returned to the service address indicated.
☐ Under no circumstances should you connect the defective heating pad to another switch of the same type. This would also result in a permanent shutdown by the safety system in the switch.
●Specialfeatures
This heating pad has been provided with an especially soft and hygienic velour fabric. The textiles used in this heating pad meet the strict human ecological requirements of Oeko-Tex Standard 100, as verified by the German Hohenstein Research Institute.
- Start-up
Note: The heating pad may smell of plastic the first time you use it, but this will disappear after a short period of time.
☐ To begin, first connect the control 1 to the heating pad with the plug-in connector 3 (see fig. B).
Place the heating pad in position as shown in fig. C.
☐ Push the two ends of the heating pad together so the press stud 4 snaps into place.
Or use the two press studs for a tighter fit of the heating pad.
☐ To place the heating pad down, undo the press stud 4 or the press studs 5.
- Switching on/off/Selecting the temperature
Switching on:
☐ Set the control unit to 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6, to switch on the heating pad.
Note: The function display 2 illuminates after the heating pad is switched on.
Note: This heating pad features rapid heating, which allows it to heat up within the first 10 minutes of operation.
Switching off:
Set the control unit to 0 to switch off the heating pad.
Note: The operating display 2 will switch off.
Selecting the temperature:
☐ Just before using the heating pad, set it to the highest temperature setting (setting 6). This will cause the heating pad to warm up quickly.
☐ When using the heating pad for several hours, set it to the lowest temperature setting (setting 1).
WARNING! When operating the heating pad for several hours, we commend setting the control unit 1 to the lowest setting to prevent overheating and potential burns to the part of the body heat is applied to.
●Temperaturelevels
Set the required temperature level on the control 1 (see fig. A).
Setting 0: off
Setting 1: approx. 39 °C ± 12 %
Setting 2: approx. 44 °C ± 12 %
Setting 3: approx. 50 °C ± 12 %
Setting 4: approx. 56 °C ± 12 %
Setting 5: approx. 63 °C ± 12 %
Setting 6: approx. 71 °C ± 12 %
The temperatures were determined according to the EN-60335-2-17 test standard.
●Automaticswitch-off
Note: The heating pad switches itself off automatically after about 90 minutes. The function display 2 then starts to flash.
☐ Then select the setting 0 and after about 5 seconds, reset the heating pad to the desired temperature setting to switch it on again.
If the heating pad is no longer used after the timer expires:
- switch off the heating pad (Setting 0),
- unplug from the socket,
- disconnect the plug-in connection 3, i.e. the control unit 1, from the heating pad.
- Cleaning and care

DANG RACING!

LIFE BY ELECTRIC SHOCK! Always remove the mains plug from the socket
and the plug-in connector 3 with the control 1 from the heating pad (see fig. B) before cleaning the heating pad. Otherwise there is a risk of electric shock.
☐ Use a dry, lint-free cloth for control unit cleaning and care.

RISK OF DAMAGE TO THE PRODUCT OR PROPERTY!

Never immerse the control 1 in water quids. It may otherwise be damaged.
If the heating pad is slightly soiled, use a dampened cloth and a little liquid mild detergent, if necessary.

not use chemical cleaning or scouring
agents to clean the heating pad and control 1. The heating pad and control unit 1 may otherwise be damaged.


he heating pad is machine-washable. Set the washing machine at an extra washing cycle for delicate items at
30^ C .
For ecological reasons, please only wash the heating pad together with other textiles. Use a mild laundry detergent according to the manufacturer's instructions.
RISK OF DAMAGE TO THE PRODUCT OR PROPERTY! Please note that the heating pad may not be dry cleaned, bleached, wrung out, dried mechanically, mangled or ironed. The heating pad may otherwise be damaged.
Do not use bleach. Do not use any cleaning agents containing bleach (such as heavy duty detergents).
Do not dry in a tumbler dryer.
Do not ran.
Do not dry clean.
- Reshape the still damp heating pad to the original size immediately after washing, and dry flat, spread on a clothes drying rack.
RISK OF DAMAGE TO THE PRODUCT OR PROPERTY! Do not hang the heating pad up to dry with pegs or similar. The heating pad may otherwise be damaged.
DANGER OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!
Do not reconnect the control 1 to the heating pad until the plug-in connector 3 and the heating pad are completely dry. Otherwise there is a risk of electric shock.
DANGER OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!
RISK OF PROPERTY DAMAGE!
Do not under any circumstances switch
the heating pad on to help it dry. Otherwise there is a risk of electric shock.
●Storage
☐ If you do not intend to use the heating pad for any length of time, store it in the original packaging in a dry environment and without weighing it down.
☐ Disconnect the plug-in connection 3 and the control unit 1 from the heating pad to do so.
●Disposal
The packaging is made entirely of recyclable materials, which you may dispose of at local recycling facilities.

Observe the marking of the packaging materials for waste separation, which are marked with abbreviations (a) and numbers (b) with following meaning: 1-7: plastics/20-22: paper and fibre-board/80-98: composite materials.

Contact your local refuse disposal authority for more details of how to dispose of your worn-out product.

To help protect the environment, please dispose of the product properly when it has reached the end of its useful life and not in the household waste. Information on collection points and their opening hours can be obtained from your local authority.

The product incl. accessories and packaging materials are recyclable and are subject to extended producer responsibility. Dispose them separately, following the illustrated Info-tri (sorting information), for better waste treatment. The Triman logo is valid in France only.
● Guarantee/Service
Hans Dinslage GmbH, Riedlinger Straße 28, 88524 Uttenweiler (hereinafter referred to as "HaDi"), provides a guarantee for this product, subject to the requirements below and to the extent described as follows.
Claiming the guarantee shall not affect the Purchaser's statutory guarantee rights arising from the purchase agreement with the Seller in the event of defects. The Purchaser may exercise these statutory guarantee rights free of charge. The guarantee shall apply without prejudice to any mandatory statutory provisions on liability.
HaDi guarantees the perfect functionality and completeness of this product.
The worldwide guarantee period is 3 years, commencing from the purchase of the new, unused product from the seller.
The guarantee only applies to products purchased by the buyer as a consumer and used exclusively for personal purposes in the context of domestic use. German law shall apply.
During the guarantee period, should this product prove to be incomplete or defective in functionality in accordance with the following provisions, HaDi shall carry out a repair or a replacement delivery free of charge, in accordance with these guarantee conditions.

A guarantee claim shall only be considered if the buyer can provide HaDi, or an authorised HaDi partner, with
- a copy of the invoice/purchase receipt, and
- the original product.
The following are explicitly excluded from this guarantee:
- deterioration due to normal use or consumption of the product;
- accessories supplied with this product which are worn out or used up through proper use (e.g. batteries, rechargeable batteries, cuffs, seals, electrodes, light sources, attachments and nebuliser accessories);
- products that are used, cleaned, stored or maintained improperly and/or contrary to the provisions of the instructions for use, as well as products that have been opened, repaired or modified by the buyer or by a service centre not authorised by HaDi;
- damage that arises during transport between manufacturer and customer, or between service center and customer;
-p roducts purchased as seconds or as used goods; - consequential damage arising from a fault in this product (however, in this case, claims may exist arising from product liability or other compulsory statutory liability provisions).
Repairs or an exchange in full do not extend the guarantee period under any circumstances.

This heating pad complies with the requirements of the relevant European and national guidelines. This is confirmed by the CE mark. The relevant declarations are held by the manufacturer.
