How do I turn on the Sensiplast IAN 31698?

Press the ON/OFF button located on the front of the scale. The display will light up. It will automatically turn off after 2 minutes of inactivity.

How do I change the unit of measurement?

Press the UNIT button repeatedly to cycle between g, kg, lb, oz, and ml. The selected unit will appear on the display.

What does 'Err' mean on the display?

'Err' indicates an overload. Remove the item immediately to avoid damaging the sensor. The maximum capacity is 5 kg.

How do I use the tare function?

Place a container on the scale and press the TARE button to reset the weight to zero. Then add your ingredient; the display will show only the net weight.

How do I clean the scale?

Wipe the surface with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the scale in water, as it can damage the electronics.

What batteries does the scale use?

It uses 2 AAA batteries (1.5V). Remove the battery compartment cover on the back to replace them. Observe correct polarity.

Why is the scale not turning on?

Check that the batteries are inserted correctly and have sufficient charge. Replace with new batteries if needed. Also ensure the battery contacts are clean.

Can I measure liquids in milliliters?

Yes, select the ml mode. Note that this is based on the density of water (1 g = 1 ml). For other liquids, the measurement may be inaccurate.

How do I get a manual in another language?

On the manual page, select your desired language from the dropdown and provide your email. A translated version will be sent to you.

Is the scale repairable if broken?

Repair is limited due to the integrated sensor. For issues like inaccurate readings or display problems, contact Sensiplast customer service. Do not attempt to open the scale yourself.

Correct use

The back bandage ‘Lumbo-Active’ is designed for private use and was produced to serve as an effective support for your lumbar spine. In addition, the height-adjustable and individually adaptable lumbar pad guarantees targeted stabilising support, promotes circulation, and improves muscle function.

For adjuvant therapy:

1. Chronic pain in the lower spine (lumbalgia)
2. Lumbago
3. Wear to the small spinal joints (lumbar facet syndrome)
4. Muscle tension
5. Muscular imbalances
6. Hyperkinesia of the lower spine
7. Sporting or physical stress

Do not use – or only use after consulting your doctor – for:

1. External injury
2. Broken bones
3. Circulatory disorders
4. High degree of instability in the lower spine (e.g. slipped vertabrae)
5. Neurological deficits such as paralysis of the lower extremities, radiant nerve pain, or similar.

Safety notices of injury!

• If problems occur during use, please remove the bandage immediately and consult a doctor.
• Check the bandage for tears and damage before each use.

• The article may only be used when in perfect condition.

• Never apply the bandage so tightly that circulation is impeded.

• Do not wear the bandage for longer than 2 or 3 hours at a time or for more than 6 to 8 hours per day.
• Do not wear the article when sleeping or for resting for a long period, such as sitting for a long period.
• Wash the areas of skin that are covered by the bandage thoroughly and regularly.
• The skin must be free of gel, grease, ointments, oils, or similar, in order to prevent allergic reactions.

Possible side effects

• In the event of discomfort while wearing the bandage (e.g. tingling, pain, swelling), remove the bandage immediately!
• Risk of skin irritations and skin reactions! There may be skin reactions and irritations in some cases. For this reason, it is important to make sure that you do not exceed the maximum wear times as given and that you wash the areas of skin that are covered by the bandage thoroughly and regularly. If problems or discomfort occur anyway please consult a doctor immediately!

Applying the bandage

- Wrap the brace around the respective area of the back and close the hook-and-loop fastener (1) on the brace (see figure A). The bandage should sit comfortably and exert light pressure.

Lumbar pad

• The lumbar pad (2) that is included with the bandage is removable and can be positioned individually (see figure B).
• The bandage is positioned correctly if the lumbar pad (2) is noticeably above the top of the buttocks (see figure C).
• Correct positioning will promote circulation, provide targeted support from the lower spine, and improve muscle function.

Cleaning and care

• Wash the bandage thoroughly before the first use.
  • After wearing the bandage two or three times we recommend washing the article again.
• Close the Velcro closures during washing.
• Rinse your bandage thoroughly after washing.
• Wash separately.
• Wash the pad separately in a laundry net.

Disposal

Please dispose of the product and packaging in an environmentally friendly manner, separating different materials for recycling as required! Dispose of this item through an authorised disposal company or through your local waste disposal facilities - ask your local authority for information if further guidance is required. Ensure that you comply with all regulations currently in force.

3 years warranty

The product was produced with great care and under constant supervision. You receive a three-year warranty for this product from the date of purchase. Please retain your receipt.

The warranty applies only to material and workmanship and does not apply to misuse or improper handling. Your statutory rights, especially the warranty rights, are not affected by this warranty.
