- Insert a new battery 5 into the battery compartment 6. Pay attention to the correct polarity of the battery.
- Close the battery cover 4.
Operation
- Attaching the reflective tape
i INFO:
☐ The reflective tape 7 reflects the laser beam emitted by the product. When the laser beam strikes the reflective tape, the laser beam is reflected back to the light sensor in the product. The product counts the number of times the reflected signal is received and automatically calculates the rotational speed.
Before attaching the reflective tape 7: Ensure that the rotating shaft is clean.
☐ If the rotating shaft is reflective: Smear black paint or stick black tape onto the object. Then stick the reflective tape 7 on top.
☐ Improving the accuracy of measurement at very low rotational speed: Attach a few more pieces of the reflective tape 7 on the object to be measured. You can obtain the actual rotational speed by dividing the measurement result on the display 1 by the number of reflective tapes.
- Cut the reflective tape 7 in 12 mm squares.
- Stick one piece of the reflective tape 7 on each rotating shaft of the object to be measured. The non-reflective area should be larger than the reflective area (Fig. D).
Testing
i INFO:
☐ If no button is pressed for 1 minute: The product switches off automatically.
☐ When 2 is pressed for measurement: The first measured value is saved as 01. The next measured values are saved in ascending order.
- Switching on the product: Press MEM/3. The display 1 shows all indicators for 3 seconds.
-
Testing the product: Press and hold ⚙️ MEAS 2. The laser beam is on. The visible laser beam is in a straight line with the target to be measured.
-
When the test reaches a rotational speed:
(((•))) 9 is displayed. The display 1 shows the current measured value.
- After the display value is stabilized: Release

- Displaying measured values: Press MEM/3
(see "Memory function").
- Switching off the product: Press and hold
MEM/3 for approx. 5 seconds.
● Memory function
i INFO: There is a total of 9 memory groups.
- Displaying memory values and memory groups:

display the following values:
| Indicator on the display 1 | Value |
| 10 Memory group 01–09, 9 groups of values are saved | |
| 10 Measuring data Measured data value | |
| 13 MAX Maximum value of the tested data | |
| 8 MIN Minimum value of the tested data | |
The measuring data 10 and the values MAX 13 and MIN 8 are displayed one by one for each selected memory group 10.
- After the display is completed: The product automatically returns to zero state.
- Displaying the next memorized value: Press MEM/⏻ 3.
- Starting the display 1 from 01: Press MEM/3 after the measurement.
