1. INCLUDED IN DELIVERY

Check that the exterior of the cardboard delivery packaging is intact and make sure that all contents are present. Before use, ensure that there is no visible damage to the device or accessories and that all packaging material has been removed. If you have any doubts, do not use the device and contact your retailer or the specified Customer Service address.

3. INTENDED PURPOSE

This device is intended to massage individual parts of the human body. It cannot replace medical treatment. Do not use the massager if one or several of the following warnings applies to you. If you are unsure whether the massager is suitable for you, please consult your doctor.

WARNING

Do not use the massager

• onanimals,
• if you suffer from a medical abnormality or injury in the area to be massaged (e.g. herniated disc, open wounds),
• under any circumstances for massages in the area around the heart if you wear a pacemaker. If this is the case, consult your doctor first, including regarding other parts of the body,
• on swollen, burnt, inflamed or damaged skin and body parts of any kind,
• on cuts, capillaries, varicose veins, acne, couperose, herpes or other skin diseases,
  • during pregnancy,
• on the face (eyes), on the larynx or other particularly sensitive body parts,
  • under any circumstances while sleeping,
• after the consumption of medicines or alcohol (impaired cognition),
• in a vehicle,
• in the pubic area.

You should consult your doctor before using the massager, especially

• if you suffer from a severe illness,
• if you have a pacemaker, implants or other aids,
• if you suffer from thrombosis,
  • if you suffer from diabetes,
• if you are suffering from pain, the cause of which is unknown.

The device is only intended for the purpose described in these instructions for use. The manufacturer is not liable for damage resulting from improper or careless use.

4. WARNINGS AND SAFETY NOTES

Read these instructions for use carefully! Failure to observe the following information may result in personal injury or material damage.

WARNING

Keep packaging material away from children. There is a risk of suffocation.

Risk of electric shock

WARNING

As with every electrical device, use this massager carefully and cautiously in order to avoid danger due to electric shock.

Therefore, observe the following instructions for use:

• Only use this device with the mains voltage specified on the device.
• Never use the device if it or its accessories show visible signs of damage.
• Do not use the device during a storm.

In the event of defects or operational faults, switch the device off immediately and, if applicable, disconnect it from the mains socket. Do not pull on the mains cable or on the device to disconnect the plug from the socket. Never hold or carry the device by the mains cable. Keep the cables away from hot surfaces. Never open the device.

Make sure that the massager, the plug and the cable do not come into contact with water or other liquids.

Therefore, only use the device

• in dry interior rooms,
• with dry hands,
• never use the device in the bath, shower or near a filled wash basin,
• never use the device in a swimming pool, jacuzzi or sauna,
• never use the device outdoors.

Never pick up a device that has fallen into water. Disconnect the mains plug immediately.

Do not use the device if it or its accessories are visibly damaged. Do not drop the device or subject it to any impacts.

Repairs

WARNING

Only specialist personnel may perform repairs on electrical devices. Improper repairs may put users in significant danger. For repairs, please contact Customer Services or an authorised retailer.

Risk of fire

WARNING

There may be a risk of fire if the device is used improperly or these instructions for use are ignored.

The massager must therefore be operated as follows:

• Never for longer than 20 minutes. Leave the device to cool down for at least 15 minutes before using it again.
• Always supervise use of the device, especially if there are children nearby.
• Never use the device underneath a cover, such as a blanket, pillow, etc.

Handling

NOTICE

The device must be switched off and disconnected after every use and before cleaning.

• Ensure that hair does not get trapped in the device. Wear a hair-net if necessary.
• Avoid contact with pointed or sharp objects.
• Do not kink the cable.
• Protect the device from sources of heat getting too close to the device, such as ovens, heaters or direct sunlight.
• Never insert objects into the device through any openings.
• Switch off the device when removing or attaching the massage attachments.

6. INITIAL USE

• Remove the packaging.
• Check the device, mains plug and cable for damage.
• Connect the device to the mains. The device is in standby mode (bottom LED ("Lo") on the LED display 5 starts to flash blue).
• Ensure that the cable does not pose a trip hazard.

7. USAGE

7.1 Massage attachments

You can perform the massage with or without a massage attachment. To do this, select a massage attachment of your choice. When using the optional heat function, installed massage attachments obstruct the heat treatment. As such the device should be operated without heat when a massage attachment is attached.

The device has a total of three massage attachments.

7.2 Starting the massage

The device has an automatic switch-off function and switches off automatically after 20 minutes of operation.

1. If desired, place a massage attachment over the infrared/massage surface 1.
2. Use the swivel joint 2 and push-button 3 to set your preferred angle.
3. Plug the cable into a suitable socket.

The bottom LED ("Lo") on the LED display 5 starts to flash blue. The device is now in standby mode and ready for use.

1. Briefly press the ON/OFF button 6.

→ The bottom LED ("Lo") on the LED display 5 starts to light up continuously. The device starts the vibration at a low intensity level.

1. Select your preferred massage setting by briefly pressing the ON/OFF button 6.

→ The current massage setting lights up in the LED display 5.

“Lo”= Vibration at low intensity level

“Hi” = Vibration at high intensity level

“P” = Vibration massage program – vibrations slowly increase and decrease (like a wave)

1. Use one or both hands to guide the device to the area of the body to be massaged. You may be sitting, standing or lying down for this and you can use the device to massage yourself or another person. You can change the massage intensity by applying pressure on the massager firmly or more gently. Do not massage any particular part of the body for longer than 3 minutes; after this length of time, switch to a different body part.

1. To switch the device to standby mode, press and hold the ON/OFF button 6 for 2 seconds.

→ The bottom LED ("Lo") on the LED display 5 starts to flash blue.

1. After every use, unplug the cable from the socket.

Heat function

You can use the heat function either by itself or together with the vibration function. When using the optional heat function, installed massage attachments obstruct the heat treatment. Only use the heat function without any massage attachments.

1. To switch on the heat function in addition to the vibration function, press the heat button 4 while the vibration function is active.

→ The massage surface starts to warm up. "H" starts to light up red in the LED display 5. Press the heat button 4 again to switch off the heat.

1. To use the heat function by itself without the vibration function, hold down the ON/OFF button 6 for 2 seconds to switch to standby mode. In standby mode, then press the heat button 4.

The massage surface starts to warm up. "H" starts to light up red in the LED display 5. After a few minutes, it is heated up and ready for use.

1. Press the heat button 4 again to switch off the infrared light.

2. You are now back in standby mode.

CAUTION

Attention: If the infrared/massage surface 1 is heated up for a relatively long period without any skin contact, you may find the temperature unpleasantly hot. Before application, please therefore always check the temperature of the infrared/massage surface 1 with your fingertips. If it is too hot, switching off the infrared light briefly can reduce the temperature.

8. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Cleaning

WARNING

• Switch off the device each time before cleaning.
• Clean the device with a slightly damp cloth only.
• Clean the device using only the methods specified. Under no circumstances may liquid enter the device or accessories.
• Do not use the device again until it is completely dry.
• Do not clean the device in a dishwasher.
• Do not use any abrasive cleaning products or hard brushes. Unplug the mains plug before cleaning.

Wipe down the device with a damp cloth. The massage attachments can be cleaned with warm soapy water. Only use mild household cleaning agents.

Do not use the infrared massager again until it is completely dry.

Maintenance

If you do not plan to use the device for a long period of time, we recommend that you store it in the original packaging in a dry environment, ensuring it is not weighed down by additional items.

9. DISPOSAL

For environmental reasons, do not dispose of the device in household waste at the end of its service life. Dispose of the device at a suitable local collection or recycling point in your country. Observe the local regulations for material disposal. Dispose of the device in accordance with EC Directive – WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment). If you have any questions, please contact the local authorities responsible for waste disposal. You can obtain the location of collection points for old devices from the local authorities.
