Car Tester Operating Instructions
Car Tester is only to be used within specified voltage range and not domestic mains supply. Voltage range 6 - 48 Volt/ IP 40. The Responsible body or operator should refer to the instruction manual to preserve the protection afford by the equipment. If the equipment is used in a manner not specified by the manufacturer, the protection provided by the equipment may be impaired. Any parts of the device and its accessories are not allowed to be changed or replaced, other than authorized by the manufacturer of his agent.
WARNING: Not to use the equipment for measurements on mains
circuits, not to use the equipment for measurements on voltage exceed the voltage range describe in the manual.
WARNING: Not to use the product for measurements within other
measurement categories, such as CAT II, CAT III, CAT IV. 1.) Only hold the handle, do not touch crocodile clip when testing. 2.) Voltage testing Attach crocodile clamp to earth (bare metal on the car) (earth is always negative). Attach test probe of Testboy
Car Tester to supply e.g. fuse, battery, test terminal, etc. The LED (+) lights up when voltage is present.10 3.) Battery testing Crocodile clamp on negative pole of the battery, test probe of Testboy
Car Tester on positive pole. The LED (+) lights up when voltage is present. 4.) Hedlight / rearlight test Attach crocodile clamp to earth and test probe to lamp socket. 5.) Testing leads Attach crocodile clamp to earth. Pull back pin by means of push mechanism, clamp the car lead into wedge and pierce with pin, the LED (+) lights up when voltage is present. After voltage test minute hole in lead closes again. 6.) Lead test positive / negative Pierce car lead, attach crocodile clamp to positive or negative pole of battery. The LED (+) lights up when placed on a negative pole, thus showing that a positive lead is present. The reverse being the case for a negative lead. Any other form of usage is not permitted and can lead to accidents or destruction of the device. Any misuse will result in the expiry of all guarantee and warranty claims on the part of the operator against the manufacturer.11
