Disposal
Dear Testboy customer, with the purchase of our product you have the option of returning the device to suitable collection points for electronic waste at the end of its life cycle.
Notes

WEEE regulates the take-back and recycling of waste electrical equipment. Manufacturers of electrical appliances are obliged to take back and recycle electrical appliances that are sold free of charge. Electrical appliances may then no longer be placed in the "normal" waste streams. Electrical equipment must be recycled and disposed of separately. All appliances covered by this directive are marked with this logo.
Disposal of used batteries

As the end user, you are legally obliged (Battery Act) to return all used batteries and rechargeable batteries; disposal with household waste is prohibited!
Batteries/rechargeable batteries containing harmful substances are marked with the adjacent symbols indicating that they must not be disposed of with household waste.
The designations for the decisive heavy metal are:
Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead.
You can hand in your used batteries/rechargeable batteries free of charge at the collection points of your municipality or wherever batteries/rechargeable batteries are sold!
Quality certificate
All quality-relevant activities and processes carried out within Testboy GmbH are permanently monitored by a quality management system. Testboy GmbH further confirms that the test equipment and instruments used during calibration are subject to permanent test equipment monitoring.

Operation
Thank you for choosing the Testboy © TV 222.
The Testboy® TV 222 is intended for measuring CAT III installations and voltages not exceeding 300V (AC or DC) referenced to earth.
Operation
Allow the unit to acclimatise before taking a measurement.
When using this clamp meter, the user must observe all the usual safety rules.
When used in the vicinity of equipment that generates interference or noise, the display may show gross errors.
Use the appliance only as described in this manual, otherwise the protective devices of this appliance may be impaired.
Only use the appliance if the housing and pliers jaws are in perfect condition.
To avoid damage to the unit, do not exceed the maximum input values specified in the technical data.
Pay attention to this and make sure that the correct measuring mode has been selected.
Take special care when working on uninsulated conductors or busbars. (Wear protective clothing if necessary)
Any accidental contact with the conductor may result in electric shock.
Take care when working with voltages above 60 V DC or 30 V AC RMS. There is a risk of electric shock at such voltages.
Before switching to other functions, the tongs must be removed from the tested circuit.
During the measurements, keep your fingers behind the protective ring.
To avoid incorrect readings: When the symbol appears, change the batteries.
Before each measurement, make sure that the tester is in good working order. Check the function on a known, working power source before using the unit.
The "+" sign on the clamp indicates the technical current direction in DC mode.
Voltage tests on sockets can be problematic due to the insecure connection with the built-in electrical contacts and can lead to misleading results. Therefore, other measures should be taken in addition to ensure that leads do not carry current.
Be careful when working near open exposed ladders or collection ladders. Individual protective equipment should be used.
Do not use current sensors whose wear is already visible in the clamp.
Product-specific safety instructions
Always disconnect the appliance from all electrical power sources before opening, neutralise own static charge, this could destroy internal components.
All adjustment, maintenance and repair work on the current-carrying clamp meter may only be carried out by qualified personnel who are familiar with the regulations in this manual.
"Qualified" means a person who is familiar with the set-up, construction and operation of the equipment and the hazards associated with it. He or she is experienced and authorised to
energise or de-energise circuits and electrical equipment in accordance with professional working practices.
When the units are open, remember that some internal capacitors may still have life-threatening voltage potential even after they have been switched off.
If any faults or abnormalities are found, take the unit out of service and ensure that it cannot be used until it has been checked.
If the unit is not to be used for a long period of time, remove the batteries and store the unit in an environment that is not too humid or too hot.
Extreme caution is advised when working on uninsulated conductors and busbars. Touching these parts could result in an electric shock! Use suitable protective equipment for this purpose!
Definition of the measurement categories
Measurement category II: Measurements on circuits that are electrically connected directly to the low-voltage mains via plugs. Typical short-circuit current < 10kA
Measurement category III: Measurements within the building installation (stationary consumers with non-pluggable connection, distribution connection, permanently installed devices in the distribution board).
Typical short-circuit current < 50kA
Measurement category IV: Measurements at the source of the low-voltage installation (meter, main connection, primary overcurrent protection). Typical short-circuit current >> 50 kA
To determine the measuring category for a combination of measuring cable and measuring device, the lowest category of either the measuring cable or the measuring device always applies.
When using this clamp meter, the user must observe all the usual safety rules:
Protection against hazards caused by electric current.
Protection of the meter against misuse.
For your own safety, only use the measuring heads supplied with the device. Before using the device, check that it is in perfect condition.
Maintenance and cleaning
Clean the housing at regular intervals with a dry cloth without cleaning agents. Do not use abrasives, scouring agents or solvents.

To avoid electric shocks, do not allow moisture to enter the housing.
Battery change
Procedure:
When the working voltage of the battery becomes too low, the symbol appears on the LCD display; the battery must then be replaced.
Loosen the locking screw on the back with a screwdriver. Remove used batteries and replace with two new batteries of type 1.5 V AAA.
Replace cover and secure with screw.

Batteries do not belong in household waste. There is also a collection point near you!
