/ TVOC, temperature and relative humidity readings initially stabilized. If the AC power is interrupted, the monitor does not function, the display and the backlight are turned off. The settings of your unit will be kept by the internal memory chip so your monitor will function again after the AC power resumes. Note: For first time use, put the monitor in a well ventilated environment (around lowest possible value of TVOC at 0.22 mg/m

, CO2 at 400 PPM, PM2.5 at 5 ug/m

) for at least 12EN5 hours to avoid the influence of micro intervening gas inside the package. Where to place your air quality monitor Make sure the place you put your air quality monitor at is well ventilated for at least 6 hours everyday, or you move the monitor to a well ventilated room overnight to perform Automatic Baseline Calibration. Do not place your monitor in a highly polluted environment for a long time, the accuracy of the sensors will be reduced or damaged. (i .e. avoid TVOC concentration always over 1mg/m

over 1000 ppm, PM2.5 over 100ug/m

Please keep the air quality monitor away from a wall surface or any electronics i.e. computer / TV / printer / photocopier as too close to those will affect the readings of PM2.5/CO

/TVOC. Avoid contact with organic solvents that include silicon gel and other adhesives, paintings, drugs, oil, and high concentration gases. Colored bar indication charts PM 2.5/ CO

/ TVOC concentration level in the air Different PM2.5/CO

/TVOC concentration level is indicated in coloured bar chart under each reading :EN6

The readings are displayed in the steps: GUT (good), NORMAL (normal), MITTEL (middle), SCHLECHT (bad) and SEHR SCHLECHT (very bad). The overall air quality concentration level The overall air quality level is indicated by the coloured chart on the right side of the display together with related ventilation recommendation on the basis of PM2.5/CO

/ TVOC, temperature and RH% (the , or AVG. icon appears). After setting the memory duration, the MAX/MIN/AVG. memory data is reset (all digits on the display become “----“) and your monitor will start to store data for the next 24-hour period. Note: You need to power on your monitor for at least 12 hours to display the relevant last 12 hours weighted average of PM 2.5/

/ TVOC/Temperature and humidity level (and also power on 8 hours to display the last 8-hour weight average) To calibrate the PM2.5/CO2/TVOC sensors This monitor is factory calibrated to a 400 PPM CO

TVOC as standard concentration. Automatic baseline calibration Your monitor is equipped with a smart chip so that it will automatically calibrate itself to reduce the drift of the CO

/ TVOC sensor for long time usage. It will calibrate itself automatically at theEN11 minimum CO

/ TVOC reading detected during 7 days of continuous monitoring. Make sure the place you put your monitor at is well ventilated (with a CO

level near 400 PPM or TVOC near 0.2 mg/m

) for at least an hour or so everyday, or you move the monitor to such a well ventilated room for an hour or so everyday to perform Automatic Baseline Calibration. Note: Please try not to place your monitor in an environment with a TVOC concentration higher than 1mg/m

for a long time. Otherwise, the sensitivity of the TVOC sensor will be reduced or the TVOC sensor will be damaged. Manual calibration of the PM2.5/CO

/TVOC sensors It is recommended to undergo manual calibration performed by a qualified laboratory every 12 months. This must be done in a well ventilated room or an environment with clean air (ideally in a room showing lowest value of CO

at 400 PPM, TVOC at 0.2mg/m

Caution : Do not calibrate the monitor in an environment of unknown CO

  • Power on your air quality monitor it on and wait for 3 minutes until the first PM2.5/CO

Troubleshooting No display or functions Check the AC/DC adaptor is properly connected. Response time Ensure the air flow channels at the back of the monitor are not blocked or covered.

reading shows “Err” The CO

sensor is not working properly. Unplug the AC/DC adapter (C8) for 10 seconds to insert it to your monitor again. Care and maintenance Place your monitor on a stable surface, away from sources of direct sunlight or excessive heat or moisture. Clean your monitor with a soft cloth moistened only with mild soap and water. Stronger agents such as Benzine, thinner or similar materials can damage the surface of the item. Make sure the monitor is unplugged before cleaning. Do not open the back case or tamper with any components of this monitor.EN13 Do not plug in any other AC/AC or AC/DC adaptor with incorrect specifications or voltage.

levels and guidelines Below are some CO

reference levels in general: 400~600 ppm Background (normal) outdoor air level. 600~1,000 ppm Typical level for occupied spaces with good air exchange. 1,000 ~1,500 ppm Start ventilation of the room. 1,500~2,000 ppm Level associated with complaints of drowsiness and poor air. Ventilation recommended! 2,000~5,000 ppm Level associated with headaches, sleepiness, and stagnant, stale, stuffy air. Poor concentration, loss of attention, increased heart rate and slight nausea may also be present. Ventilation strongly recommended! > 5,000 ppm Exposure may lead to serious oxygen deprivation resulting in permanent brain damage, coma, and death. Requires immediate ventilation! PM2.5 air quality guideline Fine particulate matter (PM2.5) is an air pollutant that is a concern for people's health when levels in air are high. PM2.5 are tiny particles in the air that reduce visibility and cause the air to appear hazy when levels are elevated. The WHO updated the new air quality guideline (AQG) levels in 2021 from evidence-based data and information. The highest recommended average annual emission level for PM2.5 is 5 μg/m

and the 24-hour level is 15 μg/m

Total volatile organic compounds (TVOC) levels The TVOC covers a large range of different organic gases that may be chemically similar and difficult to distinguish (e.g. Benzene,EN14 Formaldehyde, Napthalene, Styrene, Trichloroethylene, Tetrachloroethylene, Toluene). The TVOC is considered an important indicator for indoor hygiene and indoor air quality (IAQ). In addition to serious health concerns, there is the psychological aspect: homes, offices, and other environments that smell clean typically seem more welcoming than areas with foul odors caused by organic compounds. Reference Level Air information Action TVOC (mg/m

Air quality Level 1 Clean hygienic air (target value) No action required. < 0.3 Very good Level 2 Good air quality Ventilation recommended

Normal Level 3 Noticeable comfort concerns (Not recommended for exposure > 12 months) Ventilation recommended. Identify sources.

Medium Level 4 Significant comfort issues (Not recommended for exposure > 1 month) Refresh air whenever possible. Increase ventilation. Search for source is required.

Poor Level 5 Unacceptable conditions (not recommended) Breath only if unavoidable and only for short periods. > 7.0 Bad
