Translation of Original instructions
- The voltage indicated on the nameplate must correspond to the available mains voltage. The domestic electrical system must be earthed and properly fused.
- Only operate the unit when completely assembled!
- Position the mains cable such that no danger of tripping is possible in order to avoid throwing the unit.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similar qualified person in order to avoid a hazard
- The unit may only be operated on level, stable ground. Do not place on tables or similar.
- Do no push objects through the guard. Any loose objects which could be sucked in are to be removed from the suction area before switching the fan on. Keep loose clothing, such as scarves with fringes, away from the guard.
- The units are never be touched when having wet or moist hands. The units are never be used if you are barefooted.
- Do not expose the fan to a direct water jet.
- Never immerse an electrical device in water or other liquids.
- Extension cords must be tested by a qualified technician and be suitable for the specified performance.
- Do not expose the device to harmful environmental influences (rain, strong sunlight, etc.).
- To unplug the power cord from the outlet, pull on the plug and not the cord.
- Switch off the device and pull the plug when not in use, prior to cleaning, and when moving the fan to a different location.
- Do not use the device in locations where it could fall or be knocked into water. Never reach for the device if it falls into water. Turn off the power at the circuit breaker immediately and then pull the plug.
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understands the hazards involved.
- Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
- Dispose of the packaging material in an environmentally friendly manner and inaccessible to children. There is a danger of suffocation, e.g. by swallowing!
About this operating instructions

Mounting (page 62 - 63)
- Unpack the CasaFan fan, check if everything is present and for visible signs of damage.
- Mount the fan as shown in the figures fig.1 - fig.2.
- Tighten the screws firmly.

Operation (Page 64)
Warning: Risk of injury and fire! Check the mains cable and the mains plug for damage regularly, but absolutely before each use. If damage is visible, do not use the device again.

Caution: Tip over Hazard! Only place the fan on a stable, level floor. Do not place on tables or similar.

Important: Risk of overheating! Always leave at least 30 cm distance from the rear of the fan to the wall.
- After plugging in the mains plug, switch on the device at the main switch (1, page 64).
- Select the desired operating speed at the speed switch (2) by pressing it down.
- After use, switch off the power to the unit at the main switch (1).
- If you do not use the unit for a longer period of time, be sure to unplug it from the mains.

Behaviour in an emergency
Warning: Risk of injury! Switch off the device immediately in case of visible damage, unusual noise, strong vibration and/or malfunction.
- Pull the mains plug from the socket in an emergency.
- Take persons out of the danger area.
- Secure the fan against start-up.
- The fan must not be put back into operation until a qualified electrician has eliminated the cause of the fault and released it for reuse.

Maintenance/cleaning instructions
Warning: Disconnect the appliance from the mains supply by unplugging the plug or switching off the electrical system before carrying out any cleaning or maintenance work.
- Routine maintenance must be carried out once a year, earlier if it is very dirty.
- Disconnect the plug from the wall outlet so that the operator can be sure that the plug is unplugged at all times and in all locations.
- Check the mains cable and the mains plug for damage regularly, but absolutely before each use. If damage is visible, do not use the device again.
- Clean the surface of the housing and the protective grille with a dry cloth and a soft brush. Do not use petrol or a similarly inflammable cleaning agent.
- After cleaning, the fan must be completely reassembled.
Storage
- If you are not going to use the fan for a long time, keep it in a dry room.
- You can also cover your unit to protect it from dust or dirt deposits.

Repair
Warning: Repairs may only be carried out by qualified personnel a qualified electrician. Improperly repaired devices pose a great danger to the health and life of the users of the device.
- If the mains cable to this unit is damaged, then it can only be repaired by a repair workshop named by the manufacturer.
