SICHERHEITSHINWEISE
- The voltage indicated on the nameplate must correspond to the available mains voltage. The mains socket at which the fan is operated must be earthed and properly fused.
- Operate the fan only when it is fully assembled with the safety grill in place.
- Always place the fan on a level, stable surface. Never place it on a table or similar object.
- Position the power cord to avoid tripping hazards.
- Do no push objects through the guard. Any loose objects which could be sucked in are to be removed from the suction area before switching the fan on. Keep loose clothing away from the safety grill.
- Avoid touching the fan with wet or damp hands.
- Do not expose the fan to direct water sprays or submerge it in water or other liquids.
- WATER MUST NEVER ENTER THE FAN! If the unit has become wet, immediately pull out the mains plug. Have the fan checked by a qualified electrician before using it again.
- Do not expose the fan to extreme environmental influences (e.g. high levels of dust, strong sunlight, etc.).
- To unplug the power cord from the outlet, pull on the plug and not the cord.
- Switch off the device and pull the plug when not in use, prior to cleaning, and when moving the fan to a different location.
- Do not use the fan in locations where it could fall into water.
- This device can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understands the hazards involved.
- Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
- Children shall not play with the device.
- If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similar qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
About this operating instructions
Before using the CASAFAN fan, read the operating instructions carefully. Keep the operating instructions within reach. Never pass the fan onto another person without the operating instructions.

Mounting
Unpack the CASAFAN fan, check if everything is present and for visible signs of damage.
- Mount the fan as shown in the figures 1 - 5 (see page 59-60).
- Dispose of packaging taking the environment into account and keep out of the reach of children.

Operation
WARNING: Risk of injury and fire! Check the mains cable and the mains plug for damage regularly, but absolutely before each use. If damage is visible, do not use the device again.
- Switch on the appliance at the main switch ( ⏻ see page 58).
- If you do not use the unit for a longer period of time, be sure to unplug it from the mains.

Behaviour in an emergency
CAUTION: Risk of injury! Switch off the device immediately in case of visible damage, unusual noise, strong vibration and/or malfunction.
- Pull the mains plug from the socket in an emergency.
- Take persons out of the danger area.
- Secure the fan against start-up.
- The fan must not be put back into operation until a qualified electrician has eliminated the cause of the fault and released it for reuse.

Maintenance/cleaning instructions
WARNING: Disconnect the device from the mains supply by unplugging the plug or switching off the electrical system before carrying out any cleaning or maintenance work.
- Routine maintenance must be carried out once a year, earlier if it is very dirty.
- Clean the surface of the housing and the protective grille with a dry cloth and a soft brush. Do not use petrol or a similarly inflammable cleaning agent.
- The device is otherwise maintenance-free.
Storage
- If you are not going to use the fan for a long time, keep it in a dry room.
- You can also cover your unit to protect it from dust or dirt deposits.

Repair
WARNING: Repairs may only be carried out by qualified personnel a qualified electrician. Improperly repaired devices pose a great danger to the health and life of the users of the device.
- If the mains cable to this unit is damaged, then it can only be repaired by a repair workshop named by the manufacturer, due a special tool being needed.

Disposal
Meaning of the "Wheelie Bin" Symbol
Never dispose of the appliance in normal household waste. This product is subject to European Directive 2012/19/EU. This directive provides the framework for the EU-wide take-back and recycling of waste equipment.
- Dispose of packaging material, decommissioned appliances and used batteries in accordance with the current regulations in your country. Please refer to the information on page 61.
