The device must be used for the purpose for which it was designed and in the manner specified in these instructions for use. Any form of improper use can be dangerous.

This device may be used by children over the age of 8 and by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental skills or a lack of experience or knowl

edge, provided that they are supervised or have been instructed on how to use the device safely, and are fully aware of the consequent risks of use.

Children must not play with the device.

Danger of suocation! Keep packaging materials away from children.

Cleaning and user maintenance must not be per- formed by children unless supervised.

Do not use this device near bathtubs, shower trays or other containers which have water in them.

Risk of electric shock! Never submerge the device in water or other liquids. If the device falls into wa

ter, do not reach into the water! First switch o the fuse at the fuse box and then pull the mains plug out of the socket.

When using the device in the bathroom, unplug the plug after use as water in the vicinity constitutes a danger, even when the device is switched o.15

2. SIGNS AND SYMBOLS

Slowly move the device from the roots to the tips in a fluid motion. Never hold the device in one place for more than two seconds. This will achieve the best results without subjecting your hair to excess stress or damage.

socket before cleaning the device. Make sure that the device has cooled down completely.

Only clean the housing of the device and the coated hot plates

with a soft cloth dampened with warm water. Ensure that no water gets inside the device.

Do not clean the device in the dishwasher. Do not use any aggressive, caustic, abrasive or corrosive cleaning products or hard brushes.20

For environmental reasons, do not dispose of the de- vice in household waste at the end of its service life. Dispose of the device at a suitable collection point in your country. Observe the local regulations for ma- terial disposal. Dispose of the device in accordance with EC Directive – WEEE (Waste Electrical and Elec- tronic Equipment). If you have any questions, please contact the local authorities responsible for waste disposal. You can obtain the location of collection points for old devic- es from the local or municipal authorities, local waste disposal company or your dealer, for example.
