Slot for a label with description
Preparation of the thermo transport container
- Unpack the thermo transport container and remove all the packaging material.
- Ensure that all parts are present: - Thermo transport container with door - Door seal
- Clean the thermo transport container and door seal with a cleaning agent which can be used on a food contact surface.
- Mount the door seal included as described below: - stretch the seal around its bed; - check that the seal is properly mounted to avoid a reduction of thermal output properties. NOTE! The thermo transport container does not seal hermetically!
- Close the ventilation cap at the door by turning an internal valve.
- If the container needs to be acclimatized, fill it with warm water for heating or place it in the refrigerator with opened door for cooling.
Temperature of food products For transport time up to 3 hours, the following temperatures are recommended in accordance with EN 12571:1998: Food product Initial temperature Warm above +75 °C (for the final temperature above +65 ° C) Cold below +3 °C (for the final temperature above +7 °C) Frozen below -22 °C (for the final temperature below -18 °C) NOTE! To maintain the temperature of cold or frozen food products, frozen inserts may be placed inside the container.- 10 - Inappropriate food products
- The following products are not appropriate for storage or transport in the thermo transport container: warm dairy products; carbonated beverages which are not stored in closed bottles
Filling the thermo transport container
- Prepare the food products (dishes), fill the appropriate GN containers and place them inside the thermo transport container. CAUTION! Do not place cookware and baking trays directly after taking them out of the oven in the thermo transport container. Hot cookware may damage the container’s surface. Leave the prepared food products to cool off to a minimum temperature of 120 °C.
- To maintain optimum storage temperature, fill up the thermo transport container completely.
- To maintain the temperature for as long as possible, the thermo transport container should be filled up to at least 50% of its capacity.
- Open the ventilation cap of the thermo transport container only in order to equalize the pressure inside the container.
- After filling up, close the door of the thermo transport container.
- To avoid loss of temperature, do not open the filled thermo transport container longer than necessary.
- On the front side of the door of the thermo transport container there is a slot for a label with the description. Labels with the description may be easily replaced.- 11 - Transport
- Before transporting the thermo transport container, close the ventilation cap.
- Carefully place the thermo transport container in an upright position in order to avoid spilling of food products.
- In case of using several thermol transport containers you can stack them on each other during transport.
- Ensure that the thermo transport container remains in a stable, upright position during transport.
- Secure the thermo transport container from shifting and tilting.
Cleaning and maintenance
- Clean the inside and outside of the thermo transport container after each use.
- Remove the door seal from its bed located on the inner side of the door. Clean the seal with warm water and a cleaning agent which can be used on a food contact surface, then rinse with fresh water. Leave the seal to dry or wipe dry with a soft cloth.
- Clean the inner side of the door with a soft, wet cloth soaked with warm water with a mild cleaning agent, and then dry the surfaces thoroughly. Mount the door seal on its bed located on the inner side of the door.
- Never submerge the thermo transport container in water.
- Wash the inside and outside of the thermo transport container with warm water and a soft sponge or cloth. Next, rinse with clean water and dry the thermo transport container using soft cloth.
- Do not use abrasive or harsh cleaning agents that may scratch the device’s surface.
- After washing, leave the door open until the thermo transport container is thoroughly dry.
- Replace the door seal not less than every 2 years.- 12 - Accessories (not included in the delivery)
Possible disruptions in operation
- If the thermal output of the thermo transport container decreases, check if: The door seal is properly mounted; The door is properly closed; The thermo transport container is not damaged; The thermo transport container is fill up to at least 50% of its capacity.
