Frequently Asked Questions - VT3120 LAICA

How to use the machine with bags?
Place the open end of the bag into the suction chamber without blocking the hole. Lower the lid and lock it. Press AUTOMATIC/STOP to start the automatic cycle. Wait for the cycle to finish and open the lid.
How to create a bag from a roll?
Lift the lid, place the roll under the cutting system, pull the desired length adding 8 cm, then cut. Seal one end by positioning the bag on the sealing bar and pressing SEAL.
What to do if the bag does not seal properly?
Check that the bag is not folded or dirty and that it is correctly positioned in the chamber. Make sure the sealing bar is clean and has cooled down (wait 16 seconds between cycles). If the problem persists, use high-quality Laica bags.
How to use the quick marinate function?
Place the food in a Laica container (VT3004) and connect the hose to the machine's outlet. Adjust the suction power according to the food. Press MARINATE to start the cycle. The screen shows the countdown. Once finished, disconnect the hose.
Can I vacuum seal liquids?
Yes, but it is recommended to freeze them first. Pour the liquid into a container, freeze it for 12 to 18 hours, then remove the frozen block and place it in a bag to vacuum seal.
How to clean the machine?
Wash your hands, then clean the exterior with a damp cloth. After each use, remove nylon residue from the sealing bar with a soft cloth (once cooled). Clean the suction chamber with a damp cloth. Do not use chemical products.
What to do if the machine does not start?
Check that the plug is properly connected and that the outlet works. If the thermal protection has tripped (after 10 cycles), let the appliance cool down for at least 30 minutes before using again.
What types of bags can I use?
Use only Laica bags and rolls (models VT3500, VT3501, VT3502, VT3503, VT3505, VT3508, VT3509) or equivalent quality. Non-compliant bags may compromise vacuum sealing.
How to replace the sealing gaskets?
The sealing gaskets and seals (code A10018) are available from your retailer. To replace them, open the lid and remove the old gaskets. Install the new ones by positioning them correctly in the grooves.
Can I use the machine with containers?
Yes, with Laica containers VT3004 (not included). Connect the hose to the container's port and the machine. Set the suction to GENTLE (vegetables, fruits) or NORMAL (others). Press CANISTER to start the cycle.
