  • Before each use, thoroughly clean the appliance as described in the section "maintenance".
  • Position the machine on a sturdy horizontal surface, being careful to leave the work zone around the appliance free of obstacles and large enough to allow for placing the bags of food to be packaged.
  • Connect the appliance to a power outlet and make sure the indicator lights on the "FOOD" and "VACUUM" button are lit.
  • Uniformly insert the food to be stored in the bag. Make sure the bag is about 8 cm longer than the food to be stored.
  • Lift the lid. The suction power and sealing time can be selected based on the food being packaged (see section "Function descriptions"). The machine is automatically set to "FOOD-DRY" and "VACUUM-NORMAL". Once the suction power and sealing time has been changed they are stored until the appliance is disconnected from power.

1) Position the open end of the bag inside the vacuum chamber as shown in

figure 2 without covering the air suction hole. For Laica bag codes VT3500, VT3501, VT3502, VT3503 and VT3504 and Laica roll codes VT3505, VT3508 and VT3509, position the bag with the smooth part facing upwards. Make sure the inside of the bag, in the point where it will be sealed, is clean and free of any food residue. The bag must be perfectly stretched and without any creases.

2) Lower the lid and hook it onto the base of the machine, pushing the handle

downwards; the PROGRESS display will show the number 0.

MANUAL VACUUM PACKING

Total air extraction using the automatic method tends to crush and damage foods with a more delicate consistency (such as strawberries, berries, breadsticks, vegetables, etc.); in these cases, it is therefore possible to use the manual vacuum, interrupting air extraction when necessary.

1) Position the bag and hook the machine lid as described in points 1 and 2 of

the “Use with bags” section. A vacuum can be manually generated in two ways: a. Press the “Automatic/stop” key to start air extraction. Carefully watch the air being extracted from the bag, and when necessary stop the vacuum process by pressing the “SEAL” key. b. Press the “Pulse/Vacuum” key to extract the air, and when necessary stop the vacuum process by pressing the “SEAL” key.

2) Lift the lid and check that the bag is properly sealed.

USE WITH CONTAINERS (not supplied) Only use Laica containers, code VT3304. To generate a vacuum in containers, the machine’s vacuum power level must be set to “VACUUM-NORMAL”. Prior to use, make sure the lid, container and gasket are completely clean and dry.

1) Fill the container up to a maximum of 2 cm below the top edge.

2) Connect the container tube by inserting one of the two ends into the socket

located on the machine lid, and the other end into the socket located on the container lid.

3) Hook the lid onto the base of the machine by lowering the locking handle. The

PROGRESS display reads 0.

4) Press the “CANISTER” key to start the automatic vacuum process. The

“PROGRESS” display will indicate the progress of the cycle by way of a countdown. Wait until the display reads 0 and the lights turn off.

5) Remove the tube from the container and the machine, then place the container

in the refrigerator, freezer or storeroom. “Quick marinate” function in container (not supplied) This function reduces the amount of time required to marinate food through 5 cycles, which alternate the suction and release of air inside the container. English English EN EN14 15

1) Fill the container and connect it to the machine as described above.

2) Set the machine vacuum power according to the food being marinated (see

“Description of functions” section).

3) Hook the lid onto the base of the machine by lowering the locking handle.

4) Press the “MARINATE” key: the PROGRESS display will show the number 9

and the first air suction and release cycle will begin. The progress display will indicate the progress of the marinating cycle. Wait until the display reads 0 and the lights turn off. The quick marinate process is complete.

5) Remove the tube from the container and the machine.

The machine can be stopped at any time by pressing “Automatic/Stop”. If the marinating process needs to be repeated, the air will need to be released from the container before reconnecting it to the machine.

VACUUM PACKING FOR LIQUIDS

To vacuum pack liquids they should be pre-frozen. Put the liquid food in a suitable container, put it in the freezer for about 12-18 hours then remove it from the container and put it in the bag for vacuum packing. Remove the air and seal the bag as in section "Instructions for use - use with bags" then put the bag in the freezer. MAINTENANCE
