Initial start-up
Fastening the carrying handle
-
Place the carrying handle (4) on the pump (6).
-
Fasten the carrying handle (4) with the two enclosed screws (5).
Fixed installation
- If you would like to permanently install the domestic water system, screw it to the base. A screw connection with a fastening plate also prevents the device from slipping.
When doing so, ensure free access to the drain screw (12).
Use the borehole for fixed installation (10) and M8-size screws.

If you use the domestic water system in the house, you must seal all screw connections with sealing tape.
Mains connection
The domestic water system you have purchased is already equipped with a safety plug. The domestic water system is intended for connection to a 230 V\~50 Hz earthed socket.
Setting up
- Place the device on a solid, horizontal base which is also safe from flooding.
- In principle, place the domestic water system higher than the water surface out of which you would like to pump.
GB IE
If this is not possible, install a vacuum resistant shut-off unit between the device and the suction line (available at specialised traders or DIY stores).

The pressure accumulator (7) must show an air pressure of 1.5 bar (0.15 MPa) in an unused condition. Check the air pressure before the initial start-up.

The air pressure can only be checked with an external pressure gauge, e.g. with a tyre filler. The mounted pressure gauge (13) only shows the water pressure.
Regulate the pressure in the pressure accumulator (7) by removing the protective cap for the air valve (8) and pumping air into the pressure accumulator via the air valve (9) or allowing air to vent.
Fill the pressure accumulator using e.g. a compressor and check the pressure using a manometer.
Connecting the cables

Remove the two covering caps (2) from the water inlet (16) and the water outlet (3) using e.g. a spatula or a flat-head screwdriver.

Do not use any connection systems with quick connectors on the suction side.

If you use the domestic water system in the house, you must seal all screw connections with sealing tape.

f the line connecting you to the water inlet (16) does not have a return valve, screw a backflow stop to the water inlet before connecting the
line (available from specialist retailers or hardware stores).

The function of the domestic water system is not guaranteed through air in the suction line. Please note the instructions in the "Fill pump" section.
1 ¼" hose connection
The adapter for a 1¼" hose connection available from the online shop is for mounting to the water inlet (16).
The maximum pump capacity is achieved using the adapter for 1¼" hose connection and maximum settings (see chapter "Changing the switch-on and cut-off pressure (specialists only)".
Fill pump
The domestic water system must be filled with water prior to each commissioning.
Attention: Avoid dry running of the pump! Danger of overheating!
Never touch an overheated pump! There is a danger of burns!
When switching on the pump, ensure that the pump and suction hose are completely filled with water in order to prevent the dry running of the pump. Dry running damages the device.
- Ensure that there is a line with return valve or backflow stop connected to the water inlet (16) (available from specialist retailers or hardware stores) (see section "Connecting the lines").
- Open the vent screw (1) of the domestic water system.
- Fill water to the brim.
- Close the vent screw.

Checks before putting into operation
- Ensure that the electrical connection is 230 V\~50 Hz.
- Check that the electrical socket is in good condition and that it is sufficiently fused (at least 10 A).
• Make sure that moisture or water can never get into the mains connection. Otherwise, there is a risk of electric shock.
- Putting back into operation after storage: The pressure accumulator (7) must show an air pressure of 1.5 bar (0.15 MPa) in an unused condition. Check the air pressure before putting back into operation.
The air pressure can only be checked with an external pressure gauge, e.g. with a tyre filler or manometer. The mounted pressure gauge (13) only shows the water pressure.
Regulate the pressure in the pressure accumulator (7) by removing the protective cap for the air valve (8) and pumping air into the pressure accumulator via the air valve (9) or allowing air to vent.
Starting the device
- Connect the mains connection cable (11) to the power supply.
- Turn the device on using the on/off switch (17).
- If water is demanded, the automatic switch (14) will activate automatically if the pressure falls in the pressure accumulator (7) and the pump will switch on. Once the water stops flowing the vessel pressure will increase and the automatic switch will switch the pump off.
cleaning
Clean and maintain your device regularly with a cloth or brush.

Have any work that is not described in this instruction manual performed by our service centre. Only use original parts.

Always remove the mains plug before working on the device.
There is a risk of electric shock or injury from moving parts.
A reduction in pump capacity can indicate a blockage.
Should blockages occur, remove the suction pipe and pressure pipe.
Rinse the pump with water to dislodge the foreign bodies.
All other measures, particularly opening the pump (6) must be carried out by a qualified electrician. Always contact our service centre in the case of repairs.
Storage
- Store the device in a clean condition in a dry place, out of reach of children.
• To store, open the drain screw (12) and empty the water from the pump. Retighten the drain screw (12).
Transport
The carrying handle (4) can be used for transporting.
Changing the switch-on and cut-off pressure (specialists only)

Attention! Before changing the pressure, check whether the connection cables and the connected end devices can withstand the pressure!

Attention! Danger! Risk of electric shock at the connection terminals in the pressure switch when the cover is removed. Only specialists may open and configure the pressure switch!
The pressure switch is configured at the factory so that most applications are covered. This preconfiguration can be changed as needed.

natural_image
Close-up of a mechanical device with labeled ports and wiring (no readable text or symbols)The larger screw/nut (I) is for setting the switch-on pressure and the smaller one (II) is for setting the pressure difference. The pressure is changed by turning them to the left or right.
- Turning right increases pressure
- Turning left decreases pressure

Make sure the pressure difference is always 1.5 bar.
The switch-off pressure must always be less than the maximum operating pressure of the pump and the diaphragm pressure tank. After configuring the pump, switch it on and read the pressure gauge to check whether the desired cut-off pressure and switch-on pressure are met. If necessary, repeat the configuration process above until you achieve the correct switch-on and cut-off pressure.
Disposal/environmental protection
The device, accessories and packaging should be properly recycled.

Electrical devices must not be disposed of with domestic waste.
- Take the device to a recycling plant. The plastic and metal parts used on your device can be properly sorted according to materials and grades and efficiently recycled. Please contact our service centre for more information.
- Dispose of the box in paper recycling. Dispose of plastic parts in the Dual System.
