Frequently Asked Questions - F203 Airforce

How to clean the metal grease filters?
The grease filters should be cleaned once a month. They can be washed by hand with a mild detergent or in a dishwasher on a short cycle at low temperature. Washing in a dishwasher may cause discoloration, but the filtering performance remains unchanged.
When should the charcoal filter be replaced?
The activated charcoal filter must be replaced every 6 months under normal use. This filter is neither washable nor recyclable. The FC indicator flashes after 120 hours of operation to signal replacement.
How to activate the timer on the Airforce F203 hood?
To activate the timer, press the E button (timer) or touch the selected speed key again. The timer activates for 5 minutes. A blinking dot is displayed. After 5 minutes, the hood automatically turns off.
What to do if the FG or FC indicators flash?
The FG indicator flashes after 40 hours of operation: clean the grease filter. The FC indicator flashes after 120 hours: replace the charcoal filter. After maintenance, press the F button (reset filters) for at least 5 seconds to reset the indicator.
What minimum distance must be observed between the hood and the cooking hob?
The minimum distance is 50 cm for fully electric cooking and 65 cm for gas or mixed cooking. Always follow the hob manufacturer's instructions if a greater distance is specified.
How to install the hood in recirculation mode (filter version)?
If external extraction is impossible, use the hood in recirculation mode. Install an activated charcoal filter (not supplied) and the fumes will be recycled and evacuated through the top grille G. Make sure the hood is set to recirculation mode.
What to do if the LED lighting stops working?
The lights are integrated LEDs. In case of malfunction, contact technical support to replace the entire lighting group. Do not attempt to repair it yourself.
How to use the heat sensor (automatic function)?
To activate automatic mode, touch the 1 and 2 keys simultaneously (or C and D depending on model). The speed LEDs flash in sequence. After about 30 seconds, the temperature sensor automatically adjusts the suction speed. An A is displayed. To return to manual mode, press the B key.
Why does the hood automatically turn off?
The hood has a safety auto shut-off: if no key is pressed for 4 hours, it turns off. Additionally, for models with airflow above 650 m³/h, the last speed is timed and automatically returns to the previous speed after 7 minutes.
Can I use the hood without a charcoal filter in extraction mode?
Yes, in extraction mode (external evacuation), the charcoal filter is not necessary. Use only the metal grease filters. The charcoal filter is only for recirculation mode.

Ensure there is an electricity mains access point near the hood and that the system has a 30 mA differential switch. The mains voltage must correspond to the voltage on the characteristics label inside the hood. The hood is equipped with an electricity cable measuring 1250 mm long with or without a plug: if with a plug, connect the hood to a socket compliant with standards in force placed in an accessible zone. If without (connect directly to the mains), apply a device that ensures omnipolar disconnection from the mains, with an opening distance of the contacts that allows complete disconnection of category III overvoltage.

If the cooking top is in use, the cooker hood must always operate.

Product performance test carried out in accordance with standard (EU) No 65/2014-Ref: IEC 61591

Failure to carry out the basic standards of cleaning the cooker hood and replacing the filters may cause fire risks. Therefore, we recommend observing these instructions.

Anti-grease Filter

Must be cleaned once a month, with non-abrasive detergents, by hand or in dishwasher on low temperature and short cycle. When washed in a dishwasher, the grease filter may discolour slightly, but this does not affect its filtering capacity.

Charcoal Filter - (only for filter version)

The active charcoal filters F are not washable nor regenerative. They should be changed every 6 months in normal use. The active charcoal filters capture unpleasant cooking odours.

Warning! Prior to touching the LED light bulbs, ensure they are cooled down.

LED Light

If the lighting group LED does not work, please contact the technical service center in order to replace the whole group.
